One of the reasons I like going to Potbelly is for their banana milk shake, and their chicken sandwich. This particular location is great because it’s right next to my University. I really don’t have nothing bad to say about this place, so they definitely will see me again for sure.

Outstanding. Got the Wrecking ball(not on the menu, «A wreck» plus meatballs & sauce). Menu is confusing and they walk around with an ipad to take your order. I wasn’t even close to ready and the women walked up an asked what I wanted(I was at the end of the line of 20+ people). They only take your sub you want, not what you want on it. #stupid. I didn’t find this out until later. Once I got up to the front of the line they asked what i wanted on the sub, told the woman i already told the other woman she said ok. Got my sub, nothing was on it I asked for other than the main meat etc. It was still damn good, but if its your first time you might be confused like I was.

A quick shout out to Emily and her sandwich maker who put together a last minute catering order, meant for another store, before they were even open! Thanks for saving the day!

I went in a line at about 6pm to grab an eat before my 6:30 class. After about 8 minutes of waiting, the first guy behind counter finally took my order. I show him my phone with my order. He nodded, did some things I could not see because the counter was so tall and I’m so petite. I saw him slide the empty order down. There was nobody but they seem to be short staffed so I waited patiently. Worker #2 from cash register walked by, talking and laughing by the counter then snatching a paper out of customer’s hand, behind me. The customer or maybe her crush, giggled and eyed her. «Oh dear, could somebody do my order? I’ve got a class soon,» I plead in my head. It was now 6:18. Looked around and saw worker #3 coming back from what seems to be her break. Was hoping that’ll speed up process, but instead she walked ever so slowly, walked to the«back» and came back to the sink. At first I was pleased she was washing her hands but became dismayed when she left the high-pressure faucet on. «The water is still running while you’re slowly drying your hands and chatting, ma’am,» I quietly thought. Not so environmentally concerned or a care in the world what with the recent California drought. Finally, after her talkative conversation with co-worker finished, she turned it off. Patient. Patient. I still have time as I looked at my watch. 6:22 Wait? Where is she going? She went to the cash register and there was still no one doing my order. Minute later, worker #2 reappeared and started to do the order. There was one before me so I waited patiently. 6:25 Finally it was my turn. She talked. I gestured to her that I am deaf but she could put everything on the order(I no longer have time to point and ask for anything specific). She stared. I point to my order and told her to just leave it like that then. I really had to go. She kept staring. Mumbled some things and I saw worker #1 telling her I am deaf and I guess telling her what I wanted. She still stared. Then proceed to next customer. ??? Next customer started her order. I was surprised! «Excuse me,» I politely waved to her. I want my order done. She stared at me again. Then she stared at the customer who was ahead of me. Unbelievable. Worker #2 looked at this customer and gave her a look that says, «Is she with you? Are you her mother? What does she want?» The customer told her I am deaf(and obviously, I’m not with her). Worker #2 looked back at me and I asked her to write to communicate with me. She ignored me, put my order aside, and move on to next customer who arrived long after me. Offensive. I wasn’t going to call her attention again though. My patience ran out. It was now 6:28. I left without my food.

Loves this Potbelly’s location. The employee are super nice and always creating a conversation with you. I probably eat here once a week for the past 6 months and never had a order wrong. Food wise, try any sandwich with the Flatbread. Warm flatbread in this cold weather is the best thing ever, I also love adding hummus to my chicken sandwich.

Still Potbelly and still good, but the service and atmosphere drop this place down a star. Regularly have to repeat your order because either someone isn’t paying attention or the music is so loud that the employees can’t hear you. I won’t stop coming, but I hope they figure it out!

Staff here is killing it today, especially in the sandwich assembly line. The most authentically cheerful and smile-inducing people, providing really excellent customer service. The sandwich was good too, but I’m leaving with a smile because of the great attitudes.

I’ve been to this location many times and received both excellent service and food, but today I was disappointed by quality. I ordered an Uptown salad– and aside from forgetting the blue cheese(hello, one of the best parts!) the apples in the salad were terrible! Definitely old and saturated with what I’m guessing was lemon juice to keep them fresh. You could tell they were gross just by looking at them. Plus the salad dressing was super watery today. I took it back to my office so it was too late to have them remake it. Such a bummer. C’mon Potbelly, you can do better.

The food is great. Yes it’s a little more than Subway but the quality and taste are far superior. This is a small location so lunch time in the colder months is problematic. However there is outdoor seating under a roof during the warmer months which is nice. My only complaint is that they have a singer in on random days. It’s not my taste in music but I can live with that. The problem is that it’s a tiny space and she has a microphone and amp turned up too high. Gives me a headache.

I absolutely love their chicken salad salad, even though it’s awkward to order. It’s freaking crowded here at lunchtime during the week with all the business people in the Loop, but they do a nice job of trying to keep everything organized. I would like to suggest that they have a separate line for salad orders. I have to wait behind the people getting sandwiches. Some of the staff can get a little snippy when it gets busy which is understandable, but I had a confrontation with one of the employees which is why I won’t go back to this location and gave them only two stars. He decided to get smart with me and talk about me to customers which is very unprofessional, disrespectful and rude. Grow up.

Here’s the deal, I love Potbellys. I love their sandwiches, I like how friendly the staff usually is, I like how they decorate their restaurants. This one particular spot ruined it for me for a while, though. I was there during the dinner rush, like 4−5ish. There was a long line. I ordered my sandwich without peppers… I’m not allergic or anything but I just cant eat them. When I sat down after waiting so long, i unwrapped my sandwich to find. peppers…and lots of them. I glanced over at the line. which was almost out the door by then and I didn’t want to go back up and wait again to have them fix it. So making lemonade with lemons as best as I could, I picked out all the peppers i could find. One bite made me start to tear up. it was SOSPICY! I couldn’t even finish it… thanks Potbellys…-___–

While I’ve frequenced this location many times & received both excellent service & sandwiches today i was disappointed due to the failure of a simple order — a bowl of steel cut banana — WALNUT& brown sugar oatmeal. It was missing the walnuts which is my favorite part & put a damper on my Friday morning breakfast i was so looking forward to(i try to treat myself on friday mornings). My only suggestion to customers is if you walk in there salivating for a nice filling bowl of their oatmeal on a rainy morning like i did, be sure to ensure all of your toppings are there. ~UNhappy Friday morning P.S I will say I do love the«banana-nut walking» shoutout to the cashier as you walk to the register, lol.

I really like this Potbelly. They always make my sandwich the way I like it and serve it hot and don’t rush it out of the oven. The employees are nice here too. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s somewhat smaller than other Potbelly locations so you may want to try to come in between a rush period or take your food to go.

Same tasty Farmhouse Salad No Chicken as the rest of the Potbelly locations. I rarely eat lunch out, but when I do, I’ll likely get one of these. I’m also a fan of their breakfast sandwiches. At $ 3.60, they’re a value.

When I moved to Chicago, people raved about Potbelly’s. And I tried it, and it was good, but didn’t strike me as anything out of the ordinary. Plus, I’m cheap and Subway just always seemed like a better deal. Then, running late the other day, I popped into Potbelly’s for a turkey sammich. On wheat, with peppers, lettuce, tomato, and Italian seasonings. And it was great! And actually quite affordable! A «big» will run you $ 5.50, with chips around $ 7 total, and you can totally split it into two lunch meals. $ 3.50 per lunch! That’s a deal!

My favorite place to get a sandwich in Chicago! Fast, reasonably-priced, unique atmosphere, quality food and occasional live music. Caution: Ice cream sandwiches may cause food-induced orgasm.

Its a Potbelly’s not sure what else you need to know. What I can say is that the line here can get long at lunch and in between classes at DePaul across the street. Plan accordingly. That said, the line does move pretty quickly AND there is plenty of seating now that the weather is starting to turn with the patio seating now open.

Don’t be deterred by the long lunch lines — they move quickly! Seating usually fills up fast, though, so if you’re stopping here between 12 and 1, plan on bringing your lunch back to your desk. If you can nab a seat, they usually have live acoustic music at peak hours. I love Potbellys and don’t think it’s overpriced at all. A skinny turkey on wheat is only $ 4, for F’s sake. And the $ 1 oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are delish.
