It’s nice to have a protein bar outside of the loop near my home. The location is great for weekends when I want to pick up something healthier before running errands. The food is consistent and service is super fast at this location. Every staff member I’ve encountered here has been efficient and knowledgeable. Venue wise this is one of the more spacious protein bar locations. There’s enough room for most customers to find a seat. I recommend trying the Millennium Perk or BGT with chocolate protein.

Protein salad with quinoa and avocado was good. Quick and easy for lunch. Clean restaurant. Good service.

They tend to mess up if you order no cheese or switch out for tofu — but the ingredients and taste are always wonderful. They are always prompt and fix your order if there is an error. Best healthy, fast food around!

The food is good and relatively healthy — but it’s expensive. Their version of a burrito is $ 3 more and smaller than chipotle(and honestly, about the same nutrition). The staff here are not particularly knowledgeable — I have a food allergy and the staff struggled to know the ingredients in their smoothies. For a restaurant that prides itself on being healthy, you’d thinking asking about ingredient wouldn’t be such a big deal. I’ll go back but probably to a different location with more helpful staff.

It’s alright. We just wanted something quick so stopped by here, but wouldn’t come back for breakfast. I thought the Denver Scramble was bland.

I was so happy to discover this place when it first opened. I was intimidated a first because everyone in line was fit and lean. But I really wanted to try it so I did. I was hooked immediately and actually ate there everyday for a week in a row. I always get the chicken parmesan bowl and the ivy burrito. I have also had the red line shake. I still come periodically but the menu has become stale to me. Otherwise clean and affordable.

It’s an okay alternative to breakfast. No egg whites only whole eggs. It’s a pretty healthy menu but lacks flavor. Staff very friendly.

What a great little spot for your healthy, protein-heavy meal. I was contemplating one of the smoothies but decided to go with an egg bowl — the one with hot sauce, tomatoes and spinach. It was heavy on the eggs and light on the greens(which is probably what most people prefer) but it would be nice to have a bit more greens. At about $ 7, it’s a pretty good value for a quick, protein-packed meal.

I stopped by this Protein Bar location twice during my visit to Chicago(I admit, I was semi addicted to Protein Bar in general). Service was good at this location, but not as good as the one in The Loop. The smoothies were a little thin here, but this location prepared the Fruit Loop’d much better than other locations. I also tried the Wrigley Peeled for the first time here. I enjoyed the smoothie overall, but I definitely prefer the Millennium Perk. The Pancake in a Bowl was somewhat of a miss. The oatmeal was tasty, but it was lukewarm and didn’t really resemble oatmeal. Overall, I still love the smoothies at PB!

Pricey! Bring your checkbook along with your appetite. It’s a good thing I don;‘t mind paying for what I want. I’m a picky/healthy eater, I need to be able to toss a menu aside and say, «Can you do this for me instead» This was a problem at Protein Bar. The place was packed right before the lunch rush around 11:45am, but there was an employee promptly greeting and willing to assistant with orders and questions at the door. This aided in the assembly-line flow of business. I ordered a salad, my nephew ordered a wrap and a drink. The bill was nearly $ 30 sheeeesh! However, it was filling and nutritious so I shall not complain.

I have been to Chicago a couple of times for work and I finally found a good go-to spot near the Four Seasons Hotel! This location is inside the hospital building so you definitely have to know it’s there… I found it on Unilocal and was determined to try it! I like how they are transparent about ingredients and have such diverse foods. I could eat every meal here — oatmeal in the morning, wraps or bowls for lunch & dinner… They also deliver but you have to reach a certain amount. Kind of hard since Protein Bar is reasonably priced, at least compared to places in SF!

After running our 5k this am and walking around the city we decided to try the Protein Bar. Excellent choice to help us refuel after a run. The menu is written on the wall as you walk in the the nutritional values are listed below each menu item. I loved the option of having our breakfast scramble in a bowl or whole wheat wrap. Breakfast is served until 10 so that’s good to know in case you were wanting something with meat. All meat dishes are served after breakfast. Healthy menu options with items high in protein count that are so filling. This place is great for a quick bite to eat that will tie you over until later in the day. Conveniently located across from the gym and yoga studio it is sure to attract all the health enthusiasts and those simply wanting to go the healthy route. Lots of great eats here in Chicago!

The Protein Bar was literally a few blocks from my hotel when I was in town for the Fare Thee Well shows on the 4th of July weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. I had their Buffalo Bar-rito and the Buffalo Salad(not on the same day). Both entrees were really delicious and compliments to the staff who were super friendly! Wish we had some Protein Bars in NYC! Not sure why there are so many negative reviews here — I definitely have no complaints about the food or service, which is ironic, considering most people think New Yorkers can always find something to complain about :)

I love that there are so many healthy fast food places in Chicago. This helps with budget. This place was okay. I got the Chicken Chili Bowl that came in a to-go container. The food was decent, but the portion sizes weren’t great for the price you pay. The peanut butter protein shake was amazing though. I’ll go back for that especially since its made with Almond Milk.

I used to love this place when it first opened, but now that they have gotten popular, the quality of the food has gone downhill. Portion sizes reduced and their supposed«Super 6 salad mix» is basically all iceburg lettuce(see pic) with a few spinach leaves thrown in., super 6 of what? and to top it off today the avocado in my salad was brown(see pic)! ewwwwww… I buy a salad and a juice and it’s $ 19, maybe its just me but for $ 19 I expect quality food! I am done, to many other healthy options in this area for that price to not get quality good.

I get the feeling that this is the place you tell your friends you’re going to after your SoulCycle class but before you stop at Lululemon for some new crops. Because only those pretentious, Goop loving people would go here and think the food DOESN’T taste like wet cardboard. We stopped in for a quick lunch Sunday afternoon and the place was dead. i ordered the Quac & Roll barritto and my partner ordered the Buffalo barrito. We both grabbed a bottled juice for a grand total of $ 34.00. In my head I’m thinking«We should’ve gone to LYFE kitchen». We took a seat and waited for our barrittos. When they were ready, the guy behind the counter yelled my name and handed us our food in a plastic bag. Yes, it didn’t matter that we were eating«here», our food was given to us in a bag. As for my quac & roll, it was«meh». Definitely could taste the quac but that was about it. There was barely any chicken and nothing else noticeable taste wise. My partner said is Buffalo barrito was good but not enough to make him come back. I ate my barrito and drank my beet juice but the whole time I had to keep telling myself«It’s healthy. You’ll get big muscles from all this protein. Ignore the soggy cardboard taste». We finished up and headed home, passing LYFE kitchen. A single tear rolled down my cheek because I felt so bad for passing up LYFE that day. LYFE has a better menu and food that’s still healthy but actually tastes amazing. You sucked me in one time, Protein Bar. I learned my lesson and won’t be back.

Good mix of convenience and satiety for a salad stop. The staff is pleasant, and while the location is in a hospital building, they maintain a sense of airiness to the place. Salads are very large with a lot of greens, and their marinated tofu is very good for the vegan crowd. One can easily calculate nutrition information on their website, and there’s a goodly selection of soups, wraps, and even craft sodas to maintain interest. I like that the snacks hedge toward the healthier side(e.g., fruit bowls), as opposed to being the obligatory salad + roll or cookie place(Saladworks, I’m looking at you). Prices are very reasonable, and the lines move briskly during my lunch.

This location failed in many ways: 1) They gave me a hard time about ordering over the phone. I was on my way to the airport with no access to a computer, nor did I have time to get to one. 2) I arrived at this location and my food hadn’t even been made yet. In fact, 6 people who ordered while I was waiting still received their food before I received mine. 3) They did a poor job filling the soup bowl. Really? Come on, not cool.
