What a horribly incompetent and negligent office. I have been trying to get my earnest check back after cancelling the contract for legitimate reasons during the attorney review period. I have been waiting a month to recieve my earnest check back, when it should be a day or two. My agent, attorney and I have all been callling them with no resolution and no reason. I just called to speak with the broker, Sylvia, at the office. She was taken aback when I told her I have been waiting a month, bugt still was not helpful. She asked if I would fax her the copy of the cancellation form that we had previosuly sent to the agent at their office handling the property. I told her I was at work and that I do not have a copy of that, and asked that if Angel, the agent on this property, was in the same office as her that she had the form there. At that point she got a horrible attitude and said that if I want to get this matter accomplished I would need to get the copy of the form that they already have and fax it to them again. I asked her why she was giving me attitude when I was being completly professional and amicable and wanted to work with her to get this accomplished, she said I insinuated she was lazy since they had the form. At this point she said she has other people to deal with and she can’t be finding where the agent is at the moment to find the form. I asked her if he was in the office today, and she hung up on me.
Wow, what great service you can expect form these truly horrendous individuals. Please, if you want to buy or sell real estate, do not use this negligent and incompentent office. I still have not resolved this matter, and have given this office until Monday to resolve this or I will have to escalate this with my attorney. Even if I recieve the check back it will give no credence to using this offices services. If you value all the hard work you have put in to your home, or are looking to purchase a home with your hard earned money, steer clear of them like the plague. Either way I will have to contact the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, the BBB, and consumer watchdog groups to make sure this issue has been seen by every hard working person out there and the regulatory authorities so other patrons do not fall into this trap. It may not be a lot of money to them, but it sure is a lot of money for me. Don’t let this happen to you, there are plenty of reputable agents and brokers out there, don’t use this office.
