HALAL + MEXICAN + DEVONLOCATION = GAMECHANGER Hardly much to say about this place that hasn’t already been said. Just a great feeling to check out this small restaurant by yourself or with family for dhabiha halal burritos, steak, tacos, etc. I loved the nachos and flan too. SubhanAllah!

This place is great! Ordered delivery last Saturday via the Unilocal app! We loved the tacos, sopes and fajita plate. So good I’m ordering via the app again tonight!!! This app ordering is super convenient and they delivered within 45 min, as promised! Glad to have found a good, local Mexican place!!!

Since Los Nopales closed, this has been our go-to spot for Mexican food delivery. Everything has been fresh and delicious — even the tortilla chips, which seem to be made in-house. I’d give it five stars without hesitation if not for two things: 1. The salsa served with entrée items is good, but the salsa served with the chips is different. .. and weird. Kind of sweet. It reminds me of Sriracha, actually. 2. Every time we order, we ask for no plastic utensils, and every time, we get MOREPLASTICFORKSTHANTHEUNIVERSEKNOWSWHATTODOWITH.

First time at this restaurant with my family. We had a great time. Halaal Mexican food, what a treat! The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. The horchata was very refreshing. I ordered the garlic shrimp, which was very tasty. My dad ordered the steak, shrimp, chicken fajitas, my mom ordered the carne asada, and my brothers ordered the steak quesadilla, all were seasoned very well, with huge proportions. Service was very kind, made us feel at home. Had a great time. We would definitely come back!

I have been to Los Caminos De Michoacan several times and I have not been disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is great and warm. I have had the enchiladas with steak, the guacamole, the salsas, tacos, and carne asada,! All of the dishes were prepared and seasoned perfectly. The guacamole was very flavorful, and yummy. The carne asada was seasoned very well, no salsa needed. The steak had great flavor and a tender texture. The three salsas that are served with the chips are delicious and homemade. Each salsa has a distinct flavor, one is a mild pico, one is a medium green salsa, and the last one is a spicy red salsa. My friend had the chicken mole, she loved it! There are a plethora of Mexican restaurants in the Edgewater/Rogers Park/West Ridge area; this is by far the best! The quality of the food, the flavors of the food, and the friendly service keep me coming back. This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant!

Zabiha Halal! 3.5 stars. We walked in around 9:30PM on the Sunday during Memorial Day Weekend. Devon was packed but not this restaurant. My cousins and I walked in and were met by a nice lady. We took some time looking at the menu board which had a widdeee array of food. Honestly, I was just excited to try anything with meat. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with no rice or beans on the side because it would be too much food for me as I wasn’t that hungry. The rest of the party ordered: chicken quesadilla with a side of rice and beans, tostada, chicken burrito, beef steak quesadilla with side of rice and beans, and a beef taco. We sat down and waited for our food. About 10 – 15 minutes later, our food slowly started coming out. A couple of dishes came and then about 5 minutes later the rest of came. I think the hostess was alone and was cooking at the same time which is why everything was kind of slow. Eventually, the owner came in and helped out with bringing out the food. Food: The chicken quesadilla was SOOOO good!!! omg! It was piping hot and the chicken had so much flavor. They gave us a side of sauces, and I loved the salsa verde. My cousin loved her burrito and my other cousin loved the steak quesadilla. My sister said the tostada was ok. Downsides: I don’t think the menu prices reflect what they charge. It seemed higher than what was listed. I only ordered a quesadilla and even though I did not want the rice or beans, they charged me for it. I pointed it out the bill was updated, but it still felt off. But, I am not going to argue for some dollars so I just left it at that. As we were leaving, and after reading the other Unilocal reviews, we saw another party that came in after us got the complimentary chips and salsa. Kind of sad we didn’t get any. But then again, it must be because the lady working was alone and probably was overwhelmed. Suggestions: As this restaurant gets more popular iA, staff a couple of more people and make sure all menu prices are clear and consistent. I hope to visit again!

Horrible. Horrible flavorless beans. Nasty rice. Ordered A quesadilla with flour tortilla and get corn instead. Everything was cold. Everything was undercooked. The beings had spilled over to the Burrito was soggy. Who puts beans inside of a chimichanga? The chimichanga was not Fried but rather soggy as heck in the fried wrapper it is definitely not Mexican food, I do not know what this food is but will never be going back unless it’s to stop by for a Horchata which was really good. That was the only thing good about my god forsaken meal. Steak was rubbery and chewy as well — like he scraped it off his tire. Horrible delivery driver made me get out of the house so he didn’t have to park. Avoid at all costs.

Great mexican food. The chicken and steak quesedillas were absolutely amazing. The staff is friendly. If you’re looking for a better ambiance, this may not be the best choice. Small place but good food.

Best new restaurant to open on Devon for a long time! excellent fresh food. Have gone here 3 times and yet to be disappointed. The 3 salsas are made fresh daily and are reason enough to come. Served as an appetizer with chips for free while you wait. if you eat zabihah only, this is really the only place in chicago right now that has great mexican food. The steak is flavorful and not bland like many other places, and the chicken is similarly tasty as well combined with one of the salsas as a sauce. They have unique items too like suizo burrito(basically a ton of cheese on an already chipotle size burrito). service was friendly and prompt, and the owner is really nice and came to check in us to see if everything was ok. Prices are excellent to boot.

Great Mexican food and all halal, so great if your looking for halal options, but the food is good regardless if your looking for halal or not, I had the steak tampiquena it was yummy will definitely go back, the only thing was it was cold outside and its a small place so it was chilly in there especially when people opened the door but other then that it was great!!! Definitely recommend it if your looking for authentic Mexican!

Loved everything about this place! The food was delicious, fresh, and made to order… The restaurant was small but bright and cheerful and everything was clean including the bathroom. The staff was super friendly and very patient to explain everything and answer all our questions –best of all, it’s all HALAL!!!

This place is a great addition to the halal options on Devon. The best part about this place is that it’s totally authentic Mexican food — not bland and not desified(thank goodness!). We tried the tacos and the carne asada, both were very good. The staff here is also really friendly and attentive, something you don’t get at a lot of places on Devon. It’s also very reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be returning.

Great tasting good quality Mexican food. This is a interesting concept to have on Devon avenue. Its great to have different type of cuisines being Halal. I have tried the Carne Asada which is very juicy and tasty. The owners husband and wife are so nice and have great customer service. I wish them the best of luck on their launch of their restaurant. One thing I would recommend to change would the wall color. It is too bright. That would be my only critique. But then again more importantly is the food. That is as good as it gets.

Best food on Devon. Always fast and fresh. I would recommend their steak to anyone. Their customer service is awesome. The first and only restaurant that actually catered to my request of getting a hot sauce I wanted. I have sent countless friends there and everyone loved it.

Second time coming here and I again left satisfied. I remembered to not immediately inhale my food this time and take pictures first. I came on a Tuesday because the first time I came I saw a sign on the window they sold $ 1 tacos on Monday & Tuesday. Walking up to the restaurant I noticed the sign was no longer there. I asked if the $ 1 taco special was still going on and I was told they no longer do it. My guess is that they weren’t able to make much of a profit with the $ 1 tacos because of the higher price of halal meat. I was pretty bummed since I drove all the way out here(about an hour from where I live) just because of the special, but I still went ahead and ordered some tacos. I ordered 3 tacos de carne Asada and 3 tacos de Chorizo. As expected, they hit the spot. Last time I came I just had water to drink, this time I ordered a Large agua de horchata. It was really thin and nothing amazing, I wouldn’t order it again. My husband had the Carne Asada plate. When they brought his plate it looked so good!!! He gave me a bite of the meat and I immediately wished I had ordered the same thing! The flavor is amazing! The tenderness wasn’t where I’d like it to be, but it was juicy and tasted great! I would definitely recommend that. I like that this place gives complimentary chips and salsa(3 different kinds of salsa) but I just wish it was spicier! I can’t wait to come again!
