Drinks are watered down. How could you screw up a tequila sunrise? The Pulled Chicken nachos didn’t have any chicken. Sweet potato fries are supposed to be healthy not caked in flour and batter. I asked for water 3x and have yet to get it. Service is terrible and I’m in VIP. I wish I knew why there was a line for this place. But the DJ is great!

Stopped in for an after work beer on Friday afternoon and it was oddly empty. Maybe that was because of the slow service or the weird playlist of reggae and slow jams.

Surprised on how good the food was. The menu is always changes and it is really small selection. This isn’t a bad thing but it is worth mentioning if you see pics on Unilocal and expect to try these items. That is why I didn’t take pictures. The maple chicken wings, kale and sprout salad, and the burgers was amazing. Worth the trip from the suburbs. The reason I was surprised regarding the food was that the place wasn’t crowed at all. We were there on a Saturday night around 8pm. I think only 3 tables were occupied. «So don’t judge a book by it’s cover kinda thing» Do yourself a favor and check this place out. FYI, be forwarned, this place turns into a club at 10pm

This was a stop on my friend’s bar hopping birthday night. We went on Friday night around 9:30pm. We waited outside in line for about 20 mins because they were letting people in one at a time. The doorman was nice but another guy inside was yelling outside rules about the dress code… annoying! Once our group got in, we found a table even though it was packed! I enjoyed the drinks and after a couple of long islands, the crowdedness didn’t bother me lol! The DJ was great and I def would come again on a Friday night for the lounge/club atmosphere but maybe a little early to skip the line.

I work at the mart so I came here with a few of my coworkers for drinks after work and had a great time! It was pretty packed for a Friday night and it was hip hop night. For a pretty packed night we got our drinks right away at the bar and we came back Saturday night and it was Latin night! So my coworkers and I have officially made this our spot on paydays lol!

Attempted to patronize this establishment to watch the Bulls game. My girlfriend had on a Bulls hat and boots, I mean it was a casual Friday night. Before we could get out of the car… we were told that we would not be allowed into the bar due to her attire. Something about a «new dress code.» Whatever. Sounds a bit profile-ish to me but what do I know. I enjoyed myself elsewhere.

My wife and I used a Groupon to visit Reverie on a Saturday afternoon. We’re not fans of sports bars, but Reverie seemed tame enough for a visit. At 3pm, there were only a handful of people in the restaurant and we were greeted by a hostess who also functioned as the server. She was attentive and well-informed and made several suggestions for our first visit. My wife and I chose the Maple glazed and an asian-style wings and were very pleased. First, the wings were twice-cooked and the skin, even after the sauces had a nice crispness to them as the fat had been obviously rendered off. The maple wings were sweet, but not cloying and the flavor of the chicken came through. The Asian wings were our favorites as the balance of heat,(wasabe dust?) fruit and asian flavors really made a lovely combination. Overall we were very satisfied with the food and the value and won’t need a Groupon to return in the future.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 12, there was hardly anyone at the restaurant, so service was super fast. Waitress was so nice, which is not always common for restaurants in this area(grrr, River North). I had a mimosa(breakfast) and glass of white wine and then ordered a chicken/avocado/bacon on focaccia with sweet potato waffle fries(lunch) — really big portion and very yummy. The interior looks more trendy/loungy, but there are TVs everywhere, so it makes for a good place to watch sports(I assume). I really liked this place and am surprised I haven’t been here yet, considering I live in the area. I will be back!

Hello! It’s 02/12/2016. Someone grabbed a black Guess goose down coat that belongs to my friend and contains her keys. If you find this coat, please either come return it to Reverie tonite or send me a Facebook message. Thank you,

I was surprised to be impressed given the very sports bar/night club identity crisis type of atmosphere in this place. But the food is worth coming in for. We walked in with a Groupon and were seated by a super cute and chatty hostess who let us choose our desired spot– by the DJ or away from. A DJ? On a Tuesday night? When there are twenty TVs on? Away from, please. Have to say though, good music selection and not too loud to have a conversation. So we ended up enjoying him. Our awkward waiter made me feel a little uncomfortable just because he was trying so hard, but the point is, he was trying really hard, and I can’t fault him for that. He gave us some recommendations, which we took, and they worked out, so kudos to him for that. Our groupon allowed for two beers, an app to share, and two salads or sandwiches. The beer list is decent, having something for everyone, so nothing to complain about there. For our appetizer, we went with the waiter’s suggestion of kale and brussels sprouts salad and it was delicious. I could have eaten the entire thing x2 as my entrée. Crispy kale and brussels sprouts, shrimp, and a perfectly spicy vinaigrette to pour on top and we were happily munching away. For my sandwich, I ordered the Bacon n Bird or was it the Bird n Bacon? Either way, it was grilled chicken with bacon, as well as fontina cheese, avocado and parmesan. I’m not a fan of bacon, so I had a couple of bites, found it overwhelmed the sandwich, and ate the rest of the sandwich without it. They don’t skimp on the chicken, so be prepared to have parts of the breast slide out of your sandwich, but I won’t complain about anyone overdoing portions ever. I like to get what I pay for, after all. The fries that come with the sandwich were crispy with skins still on and seasoned beautifully. I ate more of them than I care to admit. We checked out the dessert menu for fun, and they misspelled«cobbler,» but they certainly had some tempting options. Next time, I’d be willing to save room in my tummy to try one of them.

I came here on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. Seems to have a good beer menu. This place might more lively during the week for happy hour, but Saturday afternoons are a bit of a bust.

Here comes the«Where’s the beef?“reference. We ordered the burger for our main course which was good but the meat portion was tiny especially when hidden in the vegetation of iceberg lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion — oh and the S.S. Big Bun. Fries were overcooked and dry. so I only ate a few. I do recommend the sticky spicy sesame glaze chicken wings which were deelish! You may have to order 2 orders since you only get 6 wings. Other than that, the service was sweet. And the have Kirin on tap! Good place to watch the game.

I feel… sort of… like this place is going to close soon! Evidence: They have a totally vacant upstairs, are planning to stop serving lunch and our waitress tried to bring us the bill BEFORE we had even gotten our food! And it was only 1 waitress and 2 bussers for the WHOLE place during what would typically be a dinner rush! Deduce however you will! The location is just a taste inconvenient to get to and the ambiance is a little weird. Bears/Illini colors keep it from being a cozy night spot — it’s definitely a sports bar though, right? And the live spinning DJ and black iridescent tiles keep from being a comfy neighborhood bar — we came here for a crazy girls night out Mr. DJ, didn’t we? . Ambiance aside, we’re actually here for the food! Their mostly American and Asian-Fusion dishes aren’t bad but nothing was life changing either. My burger was pretty good and I really wanted to try the sushi but it was a little pricey. The shared place of the crab rangoon taquitos were good and the kim chee fried rice tasted REALLY good but it was super greasy. All together this = good asian-fusion bar food.

Place is very nice. Took some time for our server to take our drink order. Once we had our drinks took a little longer for server to ask for our food order. We mentioned we had a Groupon, she went to her manager came back told us they are working on Groupon but didn’t take our order. We waited patiently finally we asked for a manager. We we’re told that the higher ups didn’t tell them about the Groupon and we’re waiting to see. Meanwhile my wife and I are hungry. They asked if we wanted to order by this time we had it with there bad service and ask for our drink check. Surprise They didnt even offer to comp. our deinks. Very disappointed.

Came to Reverie for dinner and some basketball watching with friends. While we all enjoyed the food the service was so so and the 22 minute wait when we had a confirmed reservation time left a bad taste in our mouths. Seeing how the food was actually tasty and this place has a good number of TVs for your viewing pleasure I am willing to give it a second chance. Oh and def get the nacho fries.

Work in the Mart so stopped here for dinner after work one night. We sat in a booth towards the entrance with a tv right above our heads at the end of the table which we thought was cool until we sat down. The angle made it so the TV was partially dark/very hard to see. I thought okay maybe I’m just short so the angle is bad, but my tall husband had the same comments. Place was empty but our server was seriously acting as if she was so preoccupied. She took our order on some sort of electronic device which took her a long time with every item we ordered. We had a few questions about menu items and she was curt with her answers. I think she could tell I was annoyed with her attitude because she came back to check on us once our subpar food was delivered. Really wanted to like this place because of its proximity to work, will definitely not return.

This is a modern yet casual low-key place. The ambiance is cool: it’s a nice restaurant that also has kind of a sports bar vibe, with a bunch of TVs everywhere. Super random, but it works. There’s also a very cool bar area/private event space upstairs. Service was OUTSTANDING. I wish I could remember our server’s name, because she went above and beyond for us all night. Every staff member that I encountered was awesome. Drinks were good: I was bummed that they were out of the main ingredient used in their signature cocktail, the Reverie, so I didn’t get to try that.(And so weird to not be able to make their signature drink on a Friday night!) I had this berry Prosecco cocktail(multiples, actually) and it was fabulous. The food was okay. The best dish by far was the brussel sprout and kale salad, which is TODIEFOR. Then we had the spinach artichoke trip: amazing presentation and just okay taste-wise. We also sampled the«pokstada»(good) and the«Does This Look Rice On Me?» tuna dish(meh). All in all, I’d give it 3.5 stars, but service was super awesome and I’m in a generous mood, so I will round it up to 4. :)

Wow this is a fantastic place for food, drinks and watching the pretty people. The service was fantastic for the 6 of us tonight. We came to celebrate the life and passing of my mother in law. This was a perfect place. The food was outstanding. Brussel sprouts and Kale salad was to die for(you have to have the dressing). the wings were killer. My lips were slightly on fire, but a nice heat. The California roll and the tempura shrimp roll were out of bounds. Huge flavor an d the portion size was worth the price. We had to order a second California roll. My grandson had the skirt steak. I had a few pieces which were perfectly medium rare. We wanted to order more but were full so decided to come back again to explore the other menu items. The only disappointment was the baby back ribs that were tender but had no flavor other than the sauce that was atop the bones. The mgmt were nice enough to comp the ribs after letting them know. This is a sign of a fabulous team that understands customer service! The smore empanada was the bomb! OMG! the chocolate and the sweet marshmallow filling were unbelievable. I would have had more if I could have eaten more. You gotta try this place.

After searching for a sushi place that open before 5 on a Saturday we finally decided on Reverie. When we got there it was practically empty(website said opens at 2, but manager said 2:30, making us about 20 minutes early). They were filming a commercial there at the time upstairs but they let us chill at the bar. Our bartender was great and recommended one of his own drink concoctions to us which I wish I would have went with(pear mojito… delicious). I ended up going with the menu offering the Reverie, but after trying my friends I quickly switched it up next round. After seeing our bartender had excellent taste we trusted him with our food selections. We started off with the spinach and artichoke bread basket. Love the presentation of this dish and tasty too. Only con was it’s difficult to cut through, but I loved the crispness of the bread. Next we tried the asparagus fries. I love asparagus, but even if you don’t it’s a must try. It comes with a soy dipping sauce with a poach egg mixed in. The sauce was a little too salty but omg asparagus fries amazing. You would think our last dish would have been sushi since that’s what we came for, but we ended up going with the Brussels Sprout salad. Definitely another must try and the shrimp pieces throughout were tasty. Great service, great food, and a good time. I plan on going back again to check out the upstairs lounge.

My absolute favorite menu in Chicago. I’m not in love with the design of the dining room; I think it had a lot of potential and there simply was not enough thought put into it. The hostesses were polite, welcome and accommodating. Our server was fine; both the manager and one of the partners stopped by our table to chat, which is always appreciated. The reason is place deserves five stars is because of its immaculate menu. The food and drinks are simply outstanding. It was a special night at Reverie, so we began with a complimentary plate of appetizers. The chicken wings were scary large, tender and juicy. Although I typically wouldn’t order these, if you’re craving wings, these will definitely hit the spot. The sushi roll — Brass Monkey — was also very good. It reminded me of a roll at Union down the street, as it was super Americanized and some rolls come with black rice. Like the wings, I probably wouldn’t come here for the sushi, but if I was craving it, I’d for sure order it. The two mini, crisp flatbreads(I believe one was the Carrot«Tartare») were certainly unique and fun. We also ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Trip(delightful, comes prepared in a funny looking cube of bread that falls apart, revealing the dip inside) and harvati crusted mac and cheese(I was’t feeling anything heavy like this dish, but my girlfriends raved about it). The Ahi Tuna«Pokstada» was an awesome concept, as its sits on a bed of crispy seaweed«tostada,» but the tuna itself didn’t taste as fresh as I’d hoped(places like Blackfinn and Gyu Kaku have blown me away). I’m going to give in another try next time. I have faith! My vegetarian friend ordered the side of vegetables. She couldn’t bite through the asparagus(sad), but enjoyed the rest. The real star of the night was the crispy brussel sprout and kale salad. Oh. My. God. Before Reverie, Sunda’s brussel sprout salad was at the top of my list. Reverie’s take on it completely blows Sunda away. I can’t even put the experience of eating this dish into words, as my foodie vocabulary isn’t very developed, but just trust me, you have to order this dish. «The Flowers» cocktail was also outstanding, and the Derby Dream and Dream of Genie(a new take on a Manhattan) were great. Bravo, Benjamin. Now all I need is for Chef Aglibot to offer oyster shooters.
