River East is our go to for cat care. Both Lisa and Leah have taken the time to care for our two senior fur balls and we always have a positive experience. They have even provided insulin to probably the most stubborn cat and gotten the job done.
It can be stressful to let someone into your home to care for your pets, but this made has made a world of difference for us. The boarding facilities, no matter how fancy, cause pets too much stress. Being in their own home, with people who understand animals, means that I can actually relax when on vacation.
The process for each visit is easy and the rates are competitive. I regularly recommend this group to my coworkers and they have had similar, positive experiences. The best… no substitutes!

River East and Angela are wonderful. Angela has watched the cats for our past few trips. I get nervous leaving the cats for longer than a few days, and Angela appreciates that. She texts me each day that she sees the cats just to let me know everything’s OK, and occasionally sends pictures of the cats. Angela also leaves us a note at the end of each trip to let us know how the visit went.
Our flights have been canceled our last few trips home, and Angela was able and willing to stop by the house for an extra day to watch the cats while we made our way home. Her responsiveness and scheduling flexibility is much appreciated!
Also, based on the photos she’s sent, the cats love her!

Vince has taken care of my cat on numerous occasions and he has done a wonderful job each time. He goes for 30 minutes each day while I am gone and feeds him, cleans the litter boxes and plays with him. Obviously pets can’t talk, but my cat seems extremely happy when I come home from a long trip and that’s all that matters.
Their rates are great and the service is even better. I highly recommend contacting Leah to make a reservation for your furbaby next time you are away.

Vince took care of my two cats for a week while I was on vacation. He did a great job; very flexible with my schedule and sent cute photos and email updates of them. Couldn’t be happier with River East! :)

Leah is awesome! We’ve relied on her several times (often on short notice) to help us with watching our cats when we’re away.
One thing that I love is that she doesn’t just feed and dash. She spends time with each of the cats and plays with them. She also emails you while you’re out confirming that she’s checked on the cats which is really nice.
Leah always leaves a card at the end of the visit which is a great little touch. Highly recommend her — she rocks!

EXCELLENT care for our two beloved furries! We had Angela since that’s who services Edgewater. She was so sweet and took obvious good care of our kitties. I can’t express how much it means to get a little text message knowing your babies are being cared for and we also go a sweet little note when we returned. Already booked our next «care package!» Would highly recommend to anyone.

Just because their name is River East Cat Sitters do not be fooled by their cat sitting ‘range’. I live in Uptown and Angela takes care of my two cats when I am out of town. River East has alot of options and pricing to meet your needs. They can give medication to your fur babies and even water your plants or pick up your mail if you would like. Like Ginny said they give updates on your kitties while you are away text or email. I highly recommend them.

River East Cat Sitters did an excellent job watching our cats. They were professional and easy to work with. Our cats were well taken care of and the price was reasonable. I will definitely use them again!
