Riverpoint Pediatrics

My boys, Jake and Josh, who are now teenagers, have been well taken care of by Dr Gonzalzles and his staff since they were babies. I have always trusted his exams, opinions, and values. He is very smart, professional, and humorous. I can’t imagine going to another pediatrician than him.

I liked this office alot when we started visiting. Dr. G and the staff are great.
The negative review is driven by the fact that he is hardly there these days and I am not too keen to be visiting a RN and intern on consecutive visits. I think this office needs another doctor to fill in for Dr. G. when he is on leave.
Billing has been a non-​issue other than one error.

I called to find out how much a first office appointment would cost as my daughter has an ear ache (and I’m new to the city) and I got nothing but vague answers. I realize everybody has different insurance. I also realize that the «we don’t do the billing» or «it depends on what the doctor needs to do» are not answers. Didn’t go.

I was referred by my OB to Dr. G. He came several times to check on my son in the hospital after he was born. He is straight to the point and I love that, but I could see how some may not like that (my hubby for instance). He is almost always on time w/​appointments at his office — huge bonus for me! My son loves him and his staff. I would highly recommend him. He has a holistic approach so, not quick to put my child on antibotics, and I ask him a lot of questions, and find he is very well read on current studies and theories on child development. For instance, we had a great convo on autism and vaccines he too watched the PBS documentary discussing the history on the use of vaccines. He and his staff are just wonderful.

I was referred to Dr. Gonzalzles by my obstetrician late in my pregnancy, and I knew he was the pediatrician for me as soon as I met him. About a month before my son was born, I scheduled an appointment with him as a meet and greet of sorts. He was welcoming and very informative. Even though my son wasn’t even a patient of his yet, he went over so many «new parent» things with me, which really put me at ease! After my son was born, he checked on us twice in the hospital (once shortly after my son was born and once to discharge him). His style is very practical and no nonsense and I love it. As a new mommy who had every concern in the book, he really put my mind at ease and always made me feel like I was doing a good job. My son is now 18 months and I’ve never had a doubt he is receiving the best care possible under Dr. G.
P. S. The nurses in the office are great as well, they always make my son laugh and feel at ease!

The staff in this office makes the good pediatrician not worth seeing. Our children’s private health information has been openly discussed in the halls of this office. The staff has forgotten to file referrals and does not follow up with your insurance company ever. They lose letters sent from other physicians and do not care about the children at all. We had a medical assistant answer her cell phone while giving our child a vaccine! Do not go here!!!

The Best! Like a new mom (okay not so new my son is almost 2) I call their office neurotically all the time and I always get a call back within 15 minutes even on New Years!!! Dr. G and Nancy, his nurse practitioner are very patient with all of my questions and are super good at handling babies. Our son had it all! He was a premie, had GERD, colic, asthma, etc… so we have obviously been a frequent patient and know the staff quite well. They work hard with our insurance at getting medicine and special formulas covered. I always felt our checkups and even phone calls were handled well and he was always thoroughly taken care of. During Thanksgiving weekend Dr. G even had us email him pictures of our son’s head injury because we were concerned about his fall but didn’ t know if we should go to ER. My only request is that they had online appointments, but maybe it will be something to come in the future!

Dr. G is an excellent pediatrician. He’s very thorough and takes time to explain everything. I highly recommend him and his practice!

If I could give Dr Gonzalzles & the staff of Riverpoint Pediatrics 5 MILLION stars, I would!
I was very fortunate to be referred to Dr Armand Gonzalzles (Dr G) upon my baby boy’s arrival to this world. Dr G made a couple of stops by the hospital room to asses my newborn baby’s health, & he was just wonderful. I noticed right away how he handled my tiny baby boy with such ease & comfort. I decided to keep Dr G as my baby’s doctor, & I couldn’t be happier with that choice.
Dr G is gentle & attentive with children. As a brand new, first time mom, he was also gentle & attentive with me & all of my questions. Same goes for his staff — they are all great people, & especially great with the kiddos.
I love how brightly the office is decorated — it gives us lots of fun things to look at while we wait for the doctor.
Riverpoint Pediatrics also offers evening & weekend hours for us working parents, which is fantastic. I have never had a problem getting a Saturday appointment.

Dr. G is the best of the best. He is real. He is modern. Everything is computerized and you can email him with questions and concerns. You can also call anytime and he will respond. He is amazing and has made being a parent of two that much easier. His staff and nurses are also amazing! Everyone in the office knows my boys and they are all caring and prompt. Nurse Nancy is the nurse practitioner on duty when dr G is not there… and she too is awesome. I could not be happier with our pediatric office.

***TOP NOTCH*** We have a 3 ½ year old daughter and words cannot express how amazing Dr. G is! He is an excellent physician who keeps up with all of the up to date research in pediatrics. He is warm and friendly VERY approachable. The office is well run by an amazing staff. I have NEVER had to wait longer than 15 minutes, ever. When we needed a referral faxed to a specialist’s office recently, it was done with lightning fast speed. Dr. G is not allowed to retire until my daughter reaches adulthood!!!

Wow is all I can say about Dr. Armand Gonzalez and the staff at Riverpoint Pediatrics! Our son is 10 weeks old now and we have been seeing the doctor since he was born. We have gone in for several visits (apart from well check ups) and each time the doctor is so sincere and professional. He has excellent bed side manner, he is extremely thorough during each visit, he answers all of our many questions and, he doesn’t make me feel silly for asking questions that he has probably been asked a hundred times. For example, I went in with a page of vaccine questions and he patiently answered each one. He allowed us to make the best decision for our family as it pertained to vaccines without making us feel foolish.
The whole staff from the receptionist to the nurses to the nurse practitioner who we sometimes see is absolutely amazing!!! Dr. G (the name everyone calls him) is so good with kids of all ages, I hear him laughing and interacting with the kids each and every time. I cannot recommend him enough. He is affiliated with Children’s Hospital and is extremely intelligent.
I did a ton of research beforehand and Dr. G and Riverpoint were our first choices. I was totally NOT impressed with Town and Country, whom everyone seems to mention yet has horrible ratings on Unilocal and no one seems pleased. I like Dr. G and his practice because it is small; I don’t have to meet with a hundred different doctors who don’t know us or my son. Dr. G knows my husband and I very well now and we truly look forward to our visits.
We had a few medical scares and Dr. G was always patient and caring when telling us the news.
Also, it has never once been a problem to get in, each time we have been able to see the doctor or the NP, many times same day.
I will be sad when we move from Chicago because we will be hard pressed to find another Dr. G around!
