Talk about responsible business ownership. And of course, delicious ice cream. The owner is super sweet. This place is a hidden gem! Everything is locally grown! Only thing I think could make this place more environmentally responsible is if they had washable bowls for ice cream if you are eating the ice cream there, but they have compostable cups instead, and compost. Lead the way Ruth and Phil! X

Not impressed with this place. Not as good as Jeni’s and maybe comparable to black dog. It’s possible that the temperature they served it at was too cold, but the texture was not on point. I did like the salted caramel.

I recently checked this place out on a whim. The lady who owns it was there and let me tell you… It is so refreshing to meet people that are so passionate about what they do! She is extremely knowledgeable and makes everything from scratch(even the toppings aka sprinkles!)! I see several people mentioned the ice cream is not«the best or greatest» thing they’ve ever tasted. I am very much a person who is health conscious BUT enjoy the slice of pizza and ice cream too. The simple fact it is made from scratch and you KNOW what you are eating AND it tastes delicious deserves a five star review(in my «expert» opinion :)) The thing that really put this place above all else is she makes homemade ice cream for dogs! She has the ingredients listed & all of the ingredients are healthy for dogs — greek yogurt, peanut butter(can’t remember all of them). I know most people offer«dog ice cream», but it is sugary and fully of crap that is actually not good for a dog at all. I have never given my dog the ice cream for this reason. Bottom line, check it out /if you have a dog get him/her some ice cream too /great addition to the hood!

I was doing my annual visiting Chicago summer trip, and had some friends that told me to check this place out, so glad I did. Amazing gourmet ice cream on a hot summer day, heck, I would eat this in the dead of winter too!!! Awesomeness.

Not bad; heard that this location was newly opened so I came in to try a fairly-expensive scoop of pink grapefruit sorbet. Pretty tasty, but not earth-shaking, «I’ve got to tell all of my friends» goodness. I think the single-scoop cup was $ 4 before tax. Fairly or not, I had gone grocery shopping the day before at Mariano’s and spent $ 3.50 for a massive three-flavor cup of gelato, so R&P’s pricing was a bit of a turn-off. Service was friendly and the space is pretty big, so at least you can stop in and hang for a bit if you decide to grab some of this stuff. Since this is down Chicago Avenue a bit, plenty of street parking as well, much of it free.
They opened up for us at 8:30 on a Sunday, way past their closing time. Much appreciated! Delicious flavors, and great local sourcing. Glad I tried it out!

They have some really interesting flavors on the menu! I tried the nutella cookie Ice cream and also tried the sour cream and cinammon. Like both flavors but my favorite was Nutella. I went a second time to try the sorbets and tried the chocolate sorbet and it tasted like rich fudge. Overall, I was very happy with the selections and the overall taste. I would recommend anyone in the area to give it a try.

Service was friendly and they offer a nice variety of creative flavors. The ice cream was good, but not necessarily anything I would be ecstatic to recommend to others. I would go back though, because it’s local and I’d rather support them than Baskin-Robbins or another chain. However, my one complaint is the size of the scoops – they were seriously tiny, like less than half the size of a standard ice cream scoop. The cost is $ 2 per scoop, which seems great until you realize how little you get. Perfect size for my toddler, but not reasonable for an adult. If it’s about being cost effective, raise the price to $ 3 or even $ 3.50 a scoop and make it bigger. Folks will pay. Nice to have local ice cream in Humboldt Park. I wish them luck!

Disappointing. Stopped by on Friday at 12:45. 96 degrees outside. Shop was closed sign on door said open.

Great homemade ice creams and sorbet. Creative flavors — almond, blueberry cardamom, candied ginger, and more. Blueberry sorbet was so good. Definitely worth a stop when in the neighborhood. Will be back.

Are you kidding me this place rocks! Get your ass in there now! Alison makes the best ice creams, and sorbets. Period.

New spot on Chicago avenue just west of Rockwell. Really nice space with real potential. Service was a little awkward. Fresh small batch ice cream with interesting flavors like sour cream cinnamon & lavender white chocolate(I think). I hope this place sticks around, cause I

Came in today to try some craft brew ice creams and sorbet for craft beer week. Wonderful selection of fresh ice cream. Orange Cardamom was amazing. I’m not an orange fan normally, but this is a surprising treat I have to recommend. This is the first week they opened, so if your in the neighborhood, or not, check them out!
