Dr. KlorGross is the bomb, I have been seeing her for the past 6 years and she is a total sweetheart. She gets 5 stars in my book, however the front office staff is horrendous. They have forgotten to send prescription refills on multiple occasions and whenever you call they act as if you’re inconveniencing them.

Dr. KlorGross is fabulous, have been seeing her for 2 decades, through different locations. She gets 5, no 10 stars. However, the Sage front office staff is not as awesome as she is. But I’ll deal to see Dr. KG.

My first experience with Dr. Aden was fine, except that the office sent out my health records with another patient after they had made a copy of them thinking that the other person was me. They assured me that they would call that patient and ask them to mail back my medical records.
Today I just called to understand the costs and time associated with getting a vaccine for a vacation. As many insurance policies are charging for different appointments now based on what the visit was for (I had a doctor’s office once charge me $ 70 for an annual check up follow up that was not needed), I was asking questions so that I could understand what type of cost I should be expecting and she wouldn’t give me a straight answer or offer a range based on my insurance. She was extremely rude and unhelpful, finally giving me the cost of what it could be if insurance were to not cover it.
I had several other questions, trying to understand, and all I got were annoyed and rude responses. It’s unfortunate because I did like Dr. Aden, but they have terrible office staff. I will be changing doctors moving forward.

I am not sure if im comfortable with this place as i have not received my lab results as promised or any information as promised. I think i will return to my old doctor. My health is nothing to play with.

This was the worst experience that I have ever had at a doctor’s office. Dr. Paulette Wilson did not listen to anything that I had to say regarding my personal concerns, dismissing everything that I said. On top of that, the resident that initially screened me, Dr. Rahul, similarly seemed dismissive and entirely more concerned about Dr. Wilson’s impression of him rather than my needs. After the initial screening by the resident doctor, Dr. Wilson came in and basically dismissed everything that I said. I had come in for a physical, but I had had incredible back pain for the week prior so I asked for a referral to a physical therapy clinic because I had gotten an injury screening there. She retorted that injury screenings are just ways for PT clinics to drum up business, making it seem as though if her denying me a referral was a way to save me money (I didn’t care about the money; I just want my back to feel better). She then went on to say that it would be best for me to take extra strength ibuprofen for the next few weeks and not go to the gym. She said she would write down all the instructions and provide me with a prescription for extra-​strength ibuprofen, both things which she DID NOT PROVIDE ME.
Furthermore, never once did she ask me whether or not it was okay for the resident to be in the room with us. Honestly, during the entirety of the time that those two were together, it felt like I was being ganged up on because she would say something and Dr. Rahul would immediately agree like a sidekick. During our initial screening, Dr. Rahul had repeatedly said that we would bring up my medical issue with the doctor and see what she had to say; however, when he actually brings it up, she dismisses it and he then turns into a brown-​nosing pushover that agrees with her and also dismisses me.
I was also never contacted with mentions of a follow-​up for the blood work that I got done there. I checked the blood work online and saw that one of the tests had not worked and that some of my numbers were odd. No call whatsoever.
This location is a 10 minute walk from my house and I WILL NOT go back to this location. The nurses are nice and the front-​desk people are brusque but polite. Dr. Wilson was the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL doctor that I have ever met and her resident, Dr. Rahul, is no better.

Dr. Aden is fabulous and willing to help with any of my needs, particularly Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome that she helps me manage. However, that only happens if I’m able to get past the extremely rude women at the front desk, particularly Sally, who have never been eager to help. I explained that I needed help with getting a refill on a prescription that helps me walk, only to be told that I’d have to wait nearly a week. The lack of empathy and understanding is extremely disappointing coming from a medical office.

I’ve been to many different doctors and medical groups over the years… employers change, plans change, you don’t like certain doctors, you move, etc etc. I finally found an office I like to visit. Dr. Wilson paid great attention to my concerns (allergies) and completed my lady physical quickly, yet remained professional and I did not feel rushed. Listen, I’m a no nonsense kind of girl. If I have an issue, I want you to listen to it and offer me advice or a referral (I’m on HMO). I’ve had other doctors make me come back again and again and again; instead of taking tests they just tell me «Oh, it might be this, or that» and make me feel like I can’t even ask for the test (finally giving me a test once I DEMAND it – oh, the broken health care system, these other offices were probably just trying to get me to keep coming back with the same issue to make money off of me). I told Dr. Wilson that I’ve experienced that with other offices and I did not want them to do the same. She was very straight forward, attentive, and got me everything that I needed. I will continue to go back to them whenever I need a non-​emergency appointment. An urgent issue needs urgent care, not an internal medicine practitioner. I did need one referral and they told me it might take 3 – 5 business days to process and then they’d have to mail it to me. I RECEIVED it through the mail three days later, so they must have processed it that afternoon or the next day before the morning mail went out.
I will also say, Dr. Wilson seemed surprised that I knew all of my (and my family’s) medical history from top to bottom. She even told me I was a great, easy patient (she said this even though I did make certain demands from her!). I think this office sees a lot of college students (duh, location) that don’t know jack about their history and maybe don’t know how to handle a medical appointment like an adult. Not trying to knock anyone, but the fact that she was so surprised by me, I would bet they are used to people being/​doing the opposite.
Go here if you want straightforward service and know how to ask what you want looked at or tested. Know your symptoms (write it down or put it in your phone, bring it in with you).

Just wanted to post a quick update here… I have for the past 2 years been seeing another Doctor at Primary Care Medical Associates on Halsted. They are AWESOME. If you can get away from Sage Medical Group, I highly recommed it.
Even after I posted my review, no one ever called me to apologize for Dr Nora Clarke being a complete pompous jerk.
Get out while you still can.

After 2 visits at st Mary’s and them trying to recommend the same awful doctor (avoid dr Cabrera even if he’s the last doctor on the planet– I get better medical advise from my mom-he’s a condescending jerk). I decided to look on my own.
It’s not easy to find a new doctor. I don’t know how doctors don’t get it. All we want is SOMEONE TO LISTEN. That’s it. Don’t guess before I’ve told you what’s wrong. Don’t have me explain what’s wrong to 2 – 3 nurses before then I have to tell u what’s wrong –I’m sick so no I don’t feel like repeating myself over & over again.
Dr Klor-​Gross is just what I was looking for. I made an appointment right away. I went in filled out the form, it was a bit long (and funny) but just don’t fill out the stuff you don’t want to answer. It’s not mandatory, it’s just part of the form.
They called me in 2 min after filling out my form. The nurse took me back and said I’ll send the doctor in right away so u don’t have to repeat what’s wrong-​Amazing!
She even came in right away. Asked my history, took notes, did some test but the best part was-​she listened! She’s super nice too.

If this review were only for doctor Wilson, it would be four or five stars, as I haven’t had a problem with her in my years as a patient. My issue is with their record keeping staff.
I’m sorry, but when you get a seventeen year old moving all of their medical history to your office when they start going to your office, you maybe need to ask if they need a copy, because seventeen year olds don’t know how life works yet. Also, when you decide to purge your medical records from before 2007, you might want to contact patients to see if they need the information. And to add to the situation, the receptionist told me I should have gotten a copy when I dropped them off. As a professional office, shouldn’t you offer that when someone drops off instead of assuming they’d ask I’d they wanted them?
Now I have no medical records at all, thanks to my ignorance as a teenager and their throwing out important information without verifying their patients have it on file.
I’m only giving two stars instead of one because of the nice doctor, the polite receptionist (don’t shoot the messenger, right?), and the fact that I’m angry right now and might be over reacting with a one star rating. Needles to say, I’m not sad that I’m going to be switching doctor’s offices soon.

I was seeing Dr. Aden and/​or Dr. Wilson for about two years, on the rare occasion that I actually saw a doctor.
With any urgent matter, I typically had to wait several days to see an NP. Two of the times I’ve seen one the NP’s here I have had to come back to see a doctor because I was incorrectly diagnosed. I get much better and more prompt care at minute clinic, which I would hands down recommend over this practice.
I get a pretty routine lab test done because of the medication I take, and every time I’ve had the test done at this practice they have a different procedure! Everywhere else I have waited exactly two days between an injection and coming back to have results read. At Sage it ranged from one to three days. The staff is clueless.
Drs. Wilson and Aden are very nice on the rare occasion I’ve seen them, but With anything more than the sniffles I get only a vague idea of what could be wrong and get passed on to some specialist. I truly had no guidance from the doctor, which is the role of a GP — your physician should help you get a proper diagnosis and help you with next steps, not just pass you onto another health care provider.
Overall, disappointing care and a terribly managed office.

Terrible customer service, even the DOCTORS are RUDE! Seriously SO RUDE! I’ve been there several times because it’s «included» in DePaul but I hate them SO MUCH. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
First you’re on hold for like half an hour before you get an appointment. Then I went to see the doctor and he started telling me I had something that I actually DIDN’T HAVE SYMPTOMS FOR! and when I pointed it out, he said, «I feel like I’m being cross-​examined here?!» and like gave me attitude. SO UNPROFESSIONAL.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I am a student at DePaul and for some godforsaken reason, Sage is their preferred student medical clinic. I have been in multiple times and each time has left me more dissatisfied than the last.
First of all, making an appointment here is impossible. I was very sick so I called to make an appointment, hoping to get in the next day. After spending 30 minutes on the phone with the receptionist giving her every bit of information about me, I was told that I would have to call back the next morning at 8:30am to make my appointment. When I asked why, she started laughing and said «Actually I don’t know, I don’t even have a straight answer for you.» I agreed to call the next morning.
Promptly at 8:30am, I once again called and was put on hold for 15 minutes. When the same receptionist from the day before answered and I asked to make an appointment she said that I would have to wait until that night and that I should have called at 8:30. Um, I did and was put on hold. She reminded me it was 8:51 and that it was my fault. After arguing with her I finally got an appointment at 10:15am.
When I got to the clinic, every person I interacted with was rude and gossipy. I had to wait in the room for A WHOLE HOUR. 60 MINUTES. When I went to ask what the hell was going on, one of the rude nurses told me that it was going to be another 15 minutes and couldn’t even look me in the eye.
My tip is to NEVER under any circumstances visit this establishment. Walgreens Take Care Clinic and CVS Minute Clinic have FAR superior service as well as more adequate nurses/​RNs.

Dr. Klor-​Gross is awesome. She has been my doctor for years, through two previous medical groups and I will continue to follow her if she moves again. This review is not about her.
The staff here is just unprofessional and silly. I have constantly been told that I will receive a reminder when I need to make a new checkup appointment and this has never once happened. I just keep track myself when I need to schedule my next visit. That’s fine; that’s part of being an adult. But there’s always some kind of miscommunication between my pharmacy and this office when I need to get a refill – the office says they sent it and the pharmacy says they didn’t and I have to call back and forth to get it worked out. Who knows whose fault it is, but I can’t really say either is so impressive that they’re not screwing it up.
So the last time I had this issue, I got a message from Sage and the person leaving the message was giggling while she was talking, so much I could barely understand what she was saying. Way to keep it professional!
I need to digress and explain the automated system you get when you call the office. Just press 0 for a live person, because the automated system gets stuck and has done so for years. Meaning, it gives you the, «Press 1 for this, press 2 for that,» you press one, and you get the same exact message over again – «Press 1 for this press 2 for that.» You can’t escape it. I have told them it does this for a long time, but it has never been fixed.
When I finally did get a person on the phone, she had to put me on hold no fewer than four times to figure out my rather simple refill issue, then eventually told me I was supposed to have made an appointment last month. I told her I had not been told that and she said it was «miraculous» that the office had not sent me a reminder. Miraculous. That was her word for her coworkers’ inability to do their job.
On second thought, I hope Dr. Klor-​Gross moves to a new medical group soon. This staff is beneath her.

One would assume that the support staff at a medical facility specializing in internal medicine would know if the doctors working at said facility would be able to treat gastrointestinal issues, right? Well, not so much. 10 minutes after explaining to the woman scheduling appointments that I was interested as a first time patient in seeing a doctor specializing in (x) condition, she didn’t seem to know the background of the doctors there nor what they treated. There are seven doctors working there.
Two transfers later I am told by a nurse that I was more than welcome to see one of their care providers but that I would just be referred to another care facility. So in summary, an office SPECIALIZING in internal medicine was not equipped to help patients with internal medical conditions.
It was like going to IHOP and having them send you to Waffle House for pancakes.

I came in and told the doctor what was wrong. She had no idea. I told her I thought it was acid reflux. She said «I think you’re right». She gave me medication.
I diagnosed myself… I wouldn’t go back there.

I just came on here to find the number to the office, but felt compelled to leave a review to counterbalance some of these negative responses.
I’m sure people have had negative experiences at this office, but I haven’t. Dr. Aden has been great to me over the years and I have never had a nurse or receptionist be anything less than professional. And the long suffering woman who handles referrals has been on it every time I need something.
No, it’s not the most up-​to-​date/​gleaming facility you’ll ever see, but it is conveniently located near the brown line, there seems to be plenty of parking, and you can check out a book while you’re there.
I think you could do worse, but by all means – find the doctor right for you.

I’ve gone here 4 times and every single time the doctor has given me wrong information, I seem to be more informed on whatever illness I have than they are.
The doctor’s have consistently been unprofessional and no help at all. I really recommend just finding another doc.
Dr. Aden is HORRIBLE. as is Dr. Odland.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Wilson here for about 3 years now. She is the best, I have never felt more comfortable with a doctor, ever ! The nurses are all super sweet, and they always ablige my wants and take off 5lbs of weight for my heavy winter clothes when they weigh me haha !
Diane at the referal desk is also super helpful finding you another doctor in your network if you need a to see a specialist.
There is a free parking lot on the East side of the building, its really small and shared with the library so you may need to wait a few minutes for a spot so come a little early !
