I’ve been getting my eyebrows threaded for about 10 years, and this is hands THE BEST salon for eyebrow threading. You can trust them 100% with a perfect shape for your face. Love this place! Everyone that works here is extremely polite and sweet! Highly recommend!

I would follow Nahrein anywhere and did to this great salon. She is, bar none, the best waxer/​threader and laser hair removal expert ever. She does a brilliant Brazilian — I’ve never had better. Great space, wonderful staff who love what they do!

First off, I am not a girl who can style my hair, or paint my own nails and be pleased with the outcome. It is a struggle.
This review is long overdue. Amy… the best. Brought my hair back from the brink of dye destruction AND I always enjoy our conversations and her great sense of humor.
Nahrein worked my unsightly toes and fingers into something I wasn’t trying to hide under socks or in my pockets. Her recommendations are always spot on.
The staff is friendly, the salon is comfortable and the lighting is perfect. Highly recommended.

This place is such a gem! It’s cute, quaint and not to mention a super friendly staff. I’ve been going to Jackie for laser when she was located more by Lincolnwood before relocating to her sister’s new salon. She’s truly America’s Sweetheart. She knows exactly what she’s doing and assists you along the way of your best needs and really listens to you. I have yet to get a cut here but I plan to be back. The stylists seemed very friendly as while I was waiting for my appointment they were all really chatty and friendly with their clients. Im sure they’re top notch as a walk in asked if they had anything available and they were booked for the day and couldn’t take him. The only down fall is you have to pay to park and the traffic on Damen can be a bust.

I’ve been going to Megan to get my hair cut and colored for years. She is an excellent stylist and colorist — and I’m always 100% happy with the end result. This last time I went I wanted to drastically change my hair color, she helped me sort out my options and it turned out perfect! The salon has a great, inviting atmosphere and everyone is very friendly.

I have been going to Salon Élan Vital since it opened. This place is first class. Calming, friendly, and beautiful, with great services. I go to Nahrein for eyebrow threading and pedicures. She uses the best products and instruments on my feet, which always produce amazing results. Yvette does my no-​chip manicures. If you think it doesn’t matter where you go for your nail services, try Salon Élan Vital. You may never go anywhere else again.

Just had a laser treatment with Jackie, and it was amazing! I was really nervous about having this treatment done because it has been years since my last laser treatment and Jackie made me feel really comfortable. Booked my next appointment and will become a regular from now on. I am really glad I was referred to this salon, great experience!

friendly staff, great ambience! I see Nehrein for eyebrow threading and i would not trust anyone else to do my eyebrows. She is consistent and i always feel great about the way they look after seeing Nehrein. I do laser with Nehrein and Jackie – they both make me feel very comfortable. I am 100% satisfied with my results and the pricing here is a steal to compared to any other salon in Chicago.

I can’t say enough great things about this Salon! I have had manicures, pedicures, laser treatment, eyebrow threading, acupuncture, and haircuts done here and have always left knowing I will be back in a couple of weeks! I tend to go after work, it’s so nice to get to a salon where you know it’s VERY clean, you can sit back and be pampered. Love this Salon and love the staff!

I saw the hair I wanted on the poster and ran inside! David hadn’t started yet, but would be there in 2 weeks to help my hair look like the poster! True to her word — David arrived and I had my first appointment and I’ll definitely be back. He’s teaching me about my hair (natural) in addition to styling it which is very impportant to me. Very happy to have found this salon on the Northside of Chicago! Already booked my next appointment!

What a great salon. Everything you’ll ever need under one roof… Every member of the staff is so kind and always so welcoming… Always makes you feel like you’re part of the family! The atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxing… Nahrein is amazing at everything she does. From nails to eyebrows. My eyebrows and nails always look great! Got a no chip manicure weeks ago and every nail is still perfect! Highly recommend the no chip manicure at this salon!
I get laser hair removal services regularly with Jackie and she’s amazing!
Can’t wait to have other services done! Soon!

I pretty much paid $ 55 for a hairtrim
My hair looks excellent though. Jill serviced me and took her time, I really appreciated it. I requested an inch from my bottom layer and some face trimming.
I’m just over the salons that up the price because they want to be «boutiquey» or to come off as «ritzy.» I don’t consider myself to be cheap either, or near it. That’s why it’ll get three stars. High price for a trim, but I still tipped generous though!

New to the neighborhood, I looked to Unilocal for finding a new salon. I had an amazing experience at Salon Élan Vital. Jill was my stylist and cut my hair to perfection. She took the time to cut my bangs just right and gave me a really fun blow-​out! I’ll definitely be going back.

Had a great first experience at Salon Élan Vital. First of all, it’s close to home and they were able to get me in on short notice for a Saturday appointment, which was awesome. I saw the stylist Jill, and I got a great cut that was exactly what I wanted. She took her time and asked me my preferences before cutting. It was reasonably priced, the ambiance was great and they use Aveda products, which I love. I will definitely be back.

I recently came here for a haircut for the second time — first experience was good but didn’t stand out in any way. But this experience was fantastic. Stephanie cut my hair and really took her time, chatting with me the whole time. I walked away with a cut that really flatters my face and I would highly recommend her in particular, and the salon in general!

Fantastic Salon with Exceptional Customer Service.
I’ve been a customer and fan of Nahrein’s for over 10 years and had followed her to Salon Élan Vital. When you find an extremely competent, knowledgeable and personable individual with talent that #1 can make ANYONE’s eyebrows look fantastic through threading and #2 Is an expert at laser treatment — you will follow them anywhere. I’ve also had laser treatments from Jackie — another amazing individual who is an expert in her field, takes the time to explain the process and makes you feel at ease and comfortable. The entire staff makes you feel welcome and appreciated. If you are looking for a salon to provide excellent personalized service in a relaxing atmosphere, Salon Élan Vital is it!
