It is with a heavy heart that I rate SalonChick at one star. I walked into the salon at 10:30 and wasn’t greeted or acknowledged in anyway. Seeing that all of the ladies were busy, I sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. There were two nail technicians, one was with a client the whole time and one was not. At 10:50 I walked over to the technician that was not with a client and asked if she could fit me in for a manicure. «No» is all she said. I pointed to the other technician and asked the same question. «No» again. No offer to fit me in later, no apologies for the wait. I stated that I had been here for 20 minutes and that my nails could already be done by now. She turned and walked away. As someone who is not a local, I tried Unilocaling another salon, but was unable to locate one that was in walking distance and open. I am disappointed in the service and wish that they could have told me right when I walked in that they couldn’t fit me in. I hope that my experience is one in a million and that this is really a great place, but as far as I’m concerned this shop is a no-​go

Bought a Groupon for haircut and partial highlights. Iwona was the stylist and my haircut was style was great. Coworkers complimented me on the new style.

I’m not sure where to start because this place has aestheticians that each have their own services that they do and prices that they charge. In any case I was able to reach out to the person that does Novalashes here. I have been searching for someone who does specifically this brand of lashes because I love it. I have tried Extreme and Minx, but this is what I prefer because I feel like they don’t stick to one another and they last longer like the glue is better. It just feels different in a good way. I have started with it and got really spoiled as a friend in Michigan was doing them and she was a NovaLash Artist of the Year in 2012. The problem has been that I just couldn’t get out there all the time. Alexandra/​Sasha is one of the women that does do Novalash here in Chicago here at SalonChick. I believe she has been doing lashes for the past 5 years. She is a true sweetheart. She did an excellent job and really listened to what I wanted. I got the dramatic look that I wanted. I will certainly come back to her for my in between fills when I can’t get to Michigan. I have only a couple of complaints as she was 20 minutes late for the appointment and I had to stop her midway through the second eye to refill my meter for parking. She also doesn’t take credit cards so I had to drive over to the Walgreens to get cash out. This was a bit of a big deal for me as I hate to pay in cash. I like being able to have a record of where I went and spent my money and I like tracking it on my statements. I’d certainly recommend her though, but plan to make extra time and bring cash or a check.

This review is for Ivona at SalonChick. I bought a Groupon on Tuesday, and called Wednesday to schedule an appointment. She was able to schedule me for that Friday. I absolutely LOVED my cut and blow dry!!! She did exactly what I asked for. I have never been happier with a haircut! Thanks Ivona!

Iwona is great! I found a groupon for this salon and was lucky enough to get Iwona as my hairstylist. I went in for a partial highlight and cut and she did a great job! She was very meticulous and took her time. The color and cut turned out great. I will definately be back.

Iwona is an amazing Hairdresser !!! She has been doing my hair for over 5 years. I had my Keratin Treatment done recently for the first time. which I love !!! She is also excellent with my highlights and haircut, which is why I always go back to her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone I know.

Appointments do not secure your seat. Many times I came on time for my manicure and had to wait at least 30 minutes, because the technician was not done with a previous costumer, or she would try to do two jobs, tinting eyebrows of one client and a doing a pedicure for a second client. They do a good job, but their appointment system is screwed. I do not how they clean their tools, but
I saw a pile of them simply soaking in a sink (Brushes used for scrubbing your feet next to brushes used for tinting your eyebrows. Disgusting!)

This is a very cute neighborhood salon that’s worth checking out, I have been going here since it opened few years ago. The nail techs Karina and Sasha do a great job with manicures and pedicures. The hairstylists Marta and Nadia do great color an cuts. Nina is also a great cosmetologist who does various treatments.

Salon chick is an amazing place where you can relax. All of the workers in the salon are really friendly. Once i went there for a manicure. Oleksandra did a great job. I have been visiting Salon Chick for 2 and a half years. I really recommend you to visit salon chick and check out their new Eyelash extensions.

I was kinda hesitate about contacting them, but Im so happy I did bc it was one of the best experience ever! Anna is amazing at what she does, and I highly recommend her 100% for everyone looking for eyelash extension!

Anna is great and is a pro at the nova lash application. I have always dreamed of having a full set of lashes that were natural looking and she achieved that and more! Thanks, Anna!

For a long time I had been visiting many salons in the Chicagoland area, but for the past year I have been coming back over again to Salon Chick and I am not planning to trade it for any other salons I’ve ever known. Modern, pleasant ambiance, and very friendly and professional staff. I have been getting lots of compliments for my hair color and style done by Marta, hairstylist, and the best ever pedicure with pretty designs done by Alexandra. I always feel welcome and get an excellent customer service during my visits. I strongly recommend this salon for all the beauty services it offers. Come and check it out yourself, and I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.

I had an experience with this Keke girl who claims to be a «hair stylist and color specialist». Yeah right !!! Before we even scheduled an appt. we spoke twice on the phone and I explained what I expected from this appt. Not only did she reschedule my appt. time, she was 20mins. late the day of.
My hair; medium brown long layers (layers were grown out a bit) Length to my ears was virgin hair and bottom hair had some color.
Once I sat down we went over what we were gonna do, she wanted to try something called «peek-​a-​boo highlights» I agreed. First thing she does is cut a chunk of my hair stating «we are not gonna dye this so, Im cutting the length off.» She started to apply the bleach «to lighten the color». The way she folded her foils should have been a dead give away that she was incompetent. Huge mistake on my part for not listening to my gut instinct to get up and leave.
Once we washed out the bleach, the «highllights» were rusty orange and other parts were bleach blonde. I freaked out !! I had my jacket on and ready to walk out when she told me she still had to put the toner on. Once again, I sat down. Stupid me. The toner grabbed on to my virgin hair and turned it redish with a pinkish hue and those «highlights» stayed rusty orange. I refused to let this imbecile cut my hair. I got my jacket on and asked to speak to the manager/​owner, Sasha. She did nothing to rectify the situation. She said since Keke rents the chair, she’s not really her boss. How ridiculous !! I paid for the color and left. Left to the East Bank Club Salon were they neutralized the hair color and was given a proper haircut.
NEVER WILL I EVER VISIT SALON CHICK AGAIN !!! MY HAIR WAS RUINED !!!

I’ve been a loyal customer of Salon Chick since it opened in 2009. I have been getting my haircuts there, pedicures and manicures. Top notch service by best professionals in the industry that really know what they are doing! Lately, I’ve been a big fan of non-​chip manicure! It lasts up to 2 – 3 weeks and I absolutely love the attention to detail of a nail-​technician! Highly recommend to check this spot out!
