Okay, over all good experience. Food was good, unique flavor a that I wasn’t crazy about but next time I’ll just order something different. Im able to chill and work with my mint tea and chocolate and ginger biscotti. Both very rich in their flavor. Nice quaint setting. Small, not too loud. Perfect for breakfast before getting some work done on my laptop. Very friendly.

I can’t believe we haven’t been here sooner. It’s in an awkward location on Clark, but has street parking in front. Decorated in my favorite kind of hip twee fashion for a small breakfast place. The menu is small(7 – 8 sandwich options, and a granola) but everything is priced well with nothing more than $ 10. Small grocery items for sale, with a few pickled and smoked items along with hot sauces, olives, and cheese spreads. I would definitely stop by here for party appetizers and spreads. Their house coffee is roasted by Dark Matter(!!!) and you will find at least 7 unique hot sauces on your table. Boyfriend got the sausage sandwich and really enjoyed it. I got the granola and — it’s like the server read my mind(or maybe my face) and returned with extra cherry/raspberry preserve chunks for me. This place reminds me a LOT of some of my favorite places in Minneapolis. We will be back!

Got the veggie breakfast sandwich and that fresh crumpet is soooo delicious. The egg with spinach was perfectly seasoned and fluffy. A perfect little breakfast snack.

Neighbors — Sauce and Bread Kitchen is amazing. As a small business owner, the immediate space is warm, welcoming and just aesthetically pleasing. Right away, you understand their focus on LOCAL partnerships. Their willingness to simply smile shines through. Ok, for the food. FRESH. FRESHBAKED. FRESH. Isn’t that enough? Nothing beats their breads and amazing little pastries… DAILY. We recently had them cater an event we had and the food from savory to sweet was a huge it! Thank you! Go in… support them… then return, return, return.

Great sandwiches. The smoked Turkey was on point and the ratatouille was great. The side salad was refreshing. Would go back to try more things on the menu.

Expected more. Wasn’t crazy about my sandwich flavor. Egg w/a cheese spread. It was over priced too. I love the interior but that was it. Expected a latte but only hot or iced coffee avbl.

SBK is actually homebase to at least three excellent ventures. The shop itself makes strangely creative sammies and other breakfast and brunch plates; the sauce shelf throws out strangely addictive hot sauces and salsas; and the granola factory churns out granola so dewy sweet you want to smear it on your face if it didn’t hurt.

I had no idea this place was in my neighborhood! It’s so cute! I decided to pop in and I’m so glad I did! They have a very small menu(6 to 8 items) and everything is cooked fresh to order. Prices are under $ 10. They have a very small setup and one chef making everything, but the wait time was not long at all and the food was full of flavor. I got the maple sausage biscuit with feta spread. We ended up buying a loaf of their chili cheese bread, along with the feta spread and ate the entire loaf. Fatasses, I know. I will be back.

This place puts out some good stuff. Great sandwiches & coffees, café goods(baked goods) as well as in-house made hot sauces, jams, salsas and at the moment they’ve captured my interest with a rockin’ breakfast crumpet with sausage(made-in-house) served with some house greens. The sides may change and it’s usually to something else that’s tasty. If you’ve got a free Sunday, for brunch and nowhere to go, you could head here for an unpretentious meal. Often, there isn’t any wait. So knock yourself out with a few baked goods and coffee while waiting on your meal. If having an interest look onto their website for more details as their menu changes seasonally. Also, if interested in a personable prix-fixe menu this is a special offered from time to time and available outside of their normal everyday offerings. The stuff is made by hand with ingredients sourced locally and is a sister business to their co-op of a similar name. The information of farms they use for sourcing, is freely given via a map drawn on a main wall within the café. The local popular sauce known as «Co-op hot sauce,» is available in the neighborhood at grocers like Mariano’s or Whole Foods and cafes /bars like Uncommon Ground. Pretty good stuff and alike the tastier hot sauces I’ve tried and purchased at farmers markets in Sonoma County on the West coast. I love that these bottles are on hand for usage during meals and sit atop tables for easy use. I will often mix the Smokey Mole and habanero or Oaxaca chilhuacle(that’s a mouthful) and drag my crumpet sandwich through it. LOVEIT, so hot it causes a nice sweat but a fun sweat. I’ll grab a couple more bottles for my pantry to be used for eggs or pot pies. One common phenomenon on Unilocal is to find low rated reviews from folks that hate a business’ hours of operation or inability to maintain their posted hours. I won’t do that but I will mention it here. I’ve tried coming in for morning coffee and a sandwich on numerous occasions(5x since Halloween 2014) only to be turned away because they were closed for vacation, holidays, someone wasn’t there on time, or other. Some of the times I was there earlier than their hours of operation, forgetting that they open much later in the morning. I’m often in cafes during the normal morning hours, i.e. 6 am and onwards. 10 or 10:30 am, I’m already on my way and unfortunately unable to hit them for another tasty crumpet!

I get it. I really do. They want to promote their sauces. But the way the kitchen is set up cannot handle more than 2 – 3 people at a time. You will be waiting for a significant amount of time. Portions and price, not in the correct ratio. Good flavor, but only for the 2 – 3 bites. Not enough for an actual meal.
