Great trail to walk the pup in. My dog loves stopping every two seconds to smell the… I would say roses, but there aren’t any, so it’s most likely other dogs markings… haha but if he’s happy, I’m happy. Although I don’t get much exercise I do enjoy the fresh air and other friendly dog walkers.

Nice paved trail. The city obviously spent some money on this. Why then, did they remove the garbage can at the Devon end of the trail? My dogs both made a mess along the trail, which I duly cleaned up, but there was no place to throw away the mess. It’s no fun walking 1.5 miles with a big bag of poop. On the other hand, there were not 2, not 3, but 4 Chicago Police Officers standing in the middle of the trail flapping their gums. That’s what — collectively $ 240 an hour? More, if you consider their pension contributions. So nice to see our tax dollars so hard at work. I had to throw the mess away in a private person’s garbage can(sorry!) Next to the garbage can was a sign: «Vote for Rauner.» You said it, pal. Who needs city garbage cans? Who needs CPD? Who needs taxes? –end of rant

I have been coming to this trail for a few years now to ride my bike, jog, and rollerblade. I like the fact it is 1 mile long so you know exactly how far you go each time. It is very quiet up here and there was an incident recently of a jogger getting attacked-which is unfortunate. Don’t go alone and keep an eye out as with anything since it is fairly secluded and surrounded by trees. I have seen a lot of wildlife including, deer, rabbits, snakes, bats, chipmunks, skunks, and of course — squirrels. The evenings usually have more people but it isn’t crowded and really well kept.
