Save-A-Lot

This is a good store with good prices, quality on par with name brands. Very clean too.

I have been to this store on a couple of times always for the same reason (bag I ice and limes) and for the type of store people can’t really complain. Ice is ice everywhere you go but if you want quality and brand names definitely this is not the place.

Its no frills basically, meaning boxed foods and a good supply of course, but just no name brands. If you pay attention to ingredients (such as I often do), you will see that many of the items are the same everyday items you have in your «bigger» grocery stores, but they are masked with different labels.
Why wouldn’t you shop here? I mean, you can save quite a bit of money as you go through the isles and fill your carts with boxes of food that you would feel guilty buying in other places due to not having lots of cash at hand. But here, rest assured, you will come out with items that will fill your pantry up.
Let me give you a «for instance moment». I bought Buttermilk Ranch Dressing here and found that it tasted EXACTLY the same as the Buttermilk dressing I had from Jewel. But the only difference was the Jewel Brand was at $ 3.99 and the SaveALot version was at $ 1.59. Now you tell me, did I save or was it a mirage.
Granted you will not find high end items here, packaged up to the tens but what you will find is a good savings, and when your on a budget, this will make a difference in the long run.
