Sequin

Walking into the Sequin shop and seeing all of their beautifully bright and colorful bangles just makes me so happy! I lucked out on my first visit to the boutique in Chicago because they were having a sale on EVERYTHING… needless to say I took full advantage of the discounts!
One of the girls working there was nice and helpful while the other didn’t really seem to know what was going on (or was possibly too hungover to care). That works for me though as I would rather just be left alone when I’m browsing, but if you’re looking for high end service you might not always get it here. I thought they had tons of fun, unique pieces and I will definitely be returning to add to my collection!

Service… Meh.

I just purchased a very expensive one of a kind piece I saw featured in a bridal magazine. It looked so exquisite! I am a huge jewelry collector of unique collector pieces. I had to have it. I called and purchased it the phone. The sales associate was a little flaky. Didn’t really know the shipping costs but did call the mgr and the shipping was very reasonable. The 2 stars are for the quality and pathetic markup. When I received the $ 400 necklace. 2 of the «crystals» were actually plastic resin molded to look like Swarovski crystal. What a joke! I own my own jewelry label and this was disgusting. This was a Badgley Mischka piece. I was actually offended at the lack of design respect for a beautiful piece as this. I was told it was part of their couture line and I was disappointed to see a high priced «couture» piece to have plastic stones while others on the same piece were of a higher quality crystal. And to have the nerve to charge an obscenely ridiculous amount.,

Unfortunately I cannot say that I had the same wonderful service that everyone else has had. Maybe they had a bad day… and if that is the case then it must have been the day that I came in to potentially shop. I have this bracelet that I have been trying to find earrings and a necklace to match. It is a very unique bracelet so my search has been quite challenging. I thought that I would try Sequin due to such wonderful ratings but was highly disappointed.
When I walked into the store no one greeted me… not a «Hello»…“Welcome to our store”…etc. etc. Then 5 min. later one of the associates yelled out that the back table was 50% off! Nice… NOT!
As I looked around the store the two associates just gave blank stares. As I took my bracelet out to try and match with several pieces the two associates just stood and looked. I was surprised that they wouldn’t offer their expertise or give me some options but what shocked me the most was their blank stares of confusion.
The funny thing is that I actually found a pair of earrings and necklace to match my bracelet (wouldn’t you know) but there was no way I was going to spend money in a store that did not acknowledge me or try to even offer any kind of assistance, so I simply walked out and thanked them, and in case you are wondering no they did not say Thanks for coming in or anything. As I walked down the street I had to do a mirror check to make sure that I didn’t have 4 eyes or green slime coming from my ears or something! Of course I didn’t so that just makes them either rude or clueless about true customer service.
On a side note: The jewelry while a bit high priced for costume jewelry is very unique so you do pay for the uniqueness of the style. I would shop at another location but I will not be back at this particular one.

My boyfriend bought me the most beautiful three strand purple crystal necklace for my birthday. He said the saleswoman made some great suggestions. The quality is really high. The clasp has additional crystal detail that makes the piece really special. Can’t wait to visit!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! I went there for the first time the other day. The salesgirls were so helpful without being pushy, the selection was fabulous, and the prices were not outrageous. I bought the first thing I saw (which were gold sunburst earings) and have been complemented several times on them since. There was a necklace that I had my eye on, and I cannot wait to go back and buy it. Good show!

I went here on Thursday to check the place out for the 1^st time. I liked the variety of the pieces. The the part I was really happy about were the prices. They are really really reasonable. Plus, they even have Badgley Mischka for Sequin pieces too. While I did not purchase anything that day I have my eye on a few pieces. The 2 stylists were super friendly! I really liked my experience. I will be back :)

High-​end costume jewelry for sure, like Emily D. said. Which is a weird thing to want, because I pretty much either want cheap jewelry or high end NICE jewelry. ;)
Sequins was friendly enough and their pieces are unique and beautiful.

This was the shopping highlight of our trip. I spent a good deal of money here! The selections were good. The service was wonderful!

I was pleased. Love the boutique. Enjoyed the faces. Adored the jewelry. A really good vibe is perceived from Sequins. If you are seeking high-​end costume jewelry or fun pieces to play with. then you have hit the jack pot. Cheers!
