Shelby George

Shelby did hair for a few family members, my maid of honor, and myself for my wedding day, and we were all very happy with her work! She’s super sweet, and very personable. I chose her based on the portfolio on her website — I really liked the braiding she had in a few photos. When I went in for my trial, she took the time to talk through different options and looks with me. Since my hair is a little slippery (I’m Asian), braiding was a little tricky, but she was patient and determined. She even took extra time to try an additional look for me that she thought I might like better than the previous ones. I ended up getting a combination of our test looks, and every time I look at pictures of my wedding day hair, I still love it! And, another testament to Shelby’s skills: we were talking that morning about how one of my husband’s nieces can never keep a curl in her hair for longer than a couple of hours, no matter how much product — Shelby worked some magic so that this niece rocked a full head of gorgeous curls all day and night! They never fell out! Shelby is a hair genius, and I highly recommend her for bridal styling.

Thanks for the haircut! Shelby is so patient to cut and dry my thick wavy hair. She also gives out great tips for styling my unruly hair. I can’t wait to go back.

So here is my second review for my favorite hair dresser. Woman, stop moving around as I frantically look all over the city for you! But honestly the new place that she’s at is pretty awesome. Totally unpretentious and close to public transportation and its like her chair is perfectly positioned so that the light from the windows seem to give you a halo over your dream hair. Please refer to my other review of her and then add now that after a hair color disaster that happened in Asia, she fixed my fried and frazzled color with now a glossy summer touched shade of perfection. i’m totally devoted. She’s worth every penny.

I have been getting my hair done with Shelby for about a year now. I have loved every haircut she has given me. I used to go to Mops and I heard she wasn’t there anymore so I looked her up. I’m glad I found her, I dye my hair red and its an asymmetrical cut. I know it takes a lot of time and talent to fix my hair, and Shelby makes it look perfect every time. I’ve gotten several different cuts and color services and I’ve loved every single one. I trust Shelby, she always does a great job.
