Sig P Hansen, DC

Never in a million years did I think I would be going to a chiropractor, let alone bring my little 15 year old dog to one. My beautiful little dog Lexie’s spine was beginning to bend sideways and her feet were sliding out from under her. She kind of looked like the Simpson’s dog, «Santa’s little helper,» all bent like a question mark. I took my dog to her vet when her feet fell out from under her and she couldn’t walk. Dr. Sue, from TLC First Animal Hospital, took one look at her and suggested I take her to Dr. Sig Hansen, a chiropractor for animals. I was a little hesitant but Lexie was a wonderful dog and I was going to do what I could for her. Dr. Hansen is at several locations throughout the Chicago area, and on Thursdays he is at Family Pet, on Webster in Lincoln Park. I brought Lexie into the examining room where Dr. Hansen was sitting, a very tall man, he immediately got down on the floor with Lexie. Even though Lexie is a petite cocker spaniel, she is very feisty, what people call «a scrapper» and I was not sure how she was going to react. Dr. Hansen manipulated Lexie’s neck and shoulder bones running his hand down her spine and pelvis, Lexie was calm and as a matter of fact enjoyed the extra attention. Gradually, I could see Lexie’s spine relaxing and straightening out. It was like magic, Lexie was up and walking, the way she did when she was a younger dog. Dr. Hansen is a very warm, caring individual and I think that the dogs can sense this and respond very well to his treatment. Okay
If someone asked me if they should take their dog to a chiropractor? I would tell them by all means and then I would recommend Dr. Sig Hansen. I am giving Dr. Hanson with five stars, because I am so pleased with Lexie’s positive result and beautiful posture, as a result of her visits to Dr. Hansen.
