They give huge portions for about $ 11 per meal. I ordered the jambalaya and the chicken fettuccini alfredo. The jambalaya was extremely spicy, so if you like spicy this is great, if not, make sure you have some water on hand. I like spicy food, but not so spicy I can’t enjoy it w/o my tongue burning. The fettuccini Alfredo was so oily, it looked like someone dumped ½ bottle of vegetable oil in the pasta!

This is for the location at 87th and east end. I give it 2 stars because I only order the honey mustard chicken wrap and it’s good. But on a consistent basis they screw up my order. I’ll ask for fried chicken they’ll put in grill. I’ll ask for spinach instead of lettuce and they will put it on a spinach wrap and add lettuce. I ask for grilled and they’ll put in fried chicken. I mean really – how petty or slow can you be?

I usually love sizzlin skillet. But my experience today was terrible. I called in a order for cajun shrimp and chicken alfredo. The guy told me 10 mins. I get there in 20 mins. Then the guy tells me, it will be another 5mins. Now 30 minutes later cuz I was signing up for some internet, I ask about my food. They tell me that they have no cajun spices and the guy just left to go across the street to target to get some Cajun spice. It gets worse. I complain, and they tell me. Well. You haven’t paid for it yet… NEVERAGAIN.

Took forever to get my food because they ran out of shredded chicken but I will say when I got the food, it was amazing. I don’t know if it was just a bad time but I would recommend.

I know I’m late but I just found out about this place a month ago. I thought it was refreshing to find a restaurant that was more than burgers and fries. I have been there 3 times. The customer service is horrible. Twice when I went I walked to window to place order and young lady comes to window with a ticket pad. Never did I receive a «hi what can i get for you» nor«welcome to sizzling skillet». I believe she would rather tend to her social media accounts which was what I seemed to be interrupting her from on her phone. The food was obviously good since I’ve been there 3 times. I’m big on customer service so I probably won’t go back due to the lack there of. I also didn’t like the fact that the shells are still on the shrimp in the Alfredo along with anything else you order with shrimp. This is obviously a black owned business and I try hard to support them. I refuse to support any business when the customer service is not up to par.

I enjoyed an amazing meal from here a couple of summers ago. You can find healthy delicious options and not break the bank. Good alternative to some of the greasy spoons in the area.

Awesome customer service. They convinced me to try a taste portion of the garlic chicken pasta and it was so good I changed my order. The chicken could be seasoned better, but other than that it was great.

Great chicken salad Everything is so tasty… even wines are good. Little bit salty but tasty. These are what I tried. Awesome. Can’t wait to go back again. Aww. I go earlier before six pm to avoid crowd.

Really good. The first time I had the ‘fondue’ pasta — way too much cheese; kinda got sickening after a while. But…the jambalaya is delicious and spicy, the seafood seems to be fresh and well cooked… Recently I tried the grilled salmon plate($ 15) — OMG, DELICIOUS. The creamed spinach was so good, and so were the garlic red potatoes. Those sides were so good that I don’t really care what protein I pick with it next time… although the salmon was well seasoned and not overcooked. I hope they return on groupon — but ill be back either way.

This my absolute favorite restaurant, Their buffalo chicken wrap is a work of art. I ve had several items on their menu and has never been disappointed. Great restaurant ! I wish they would expand to the North side where I live.

The best thing that I can say about this place is they offer a menu of options that are not all fried foods. they are black owned which is great BUT… some of the menu items are described as upscale entre’s but they are simplicity in a bowl. The«chicken alfredo» was not bad but it tasted like something my little sister could have made. I tried the buffalo wrap, it was not bad at all. A buffalo wrap is not complicated at all so figured they couldnt screw that up. Then I got brave and tried the Chicken Teryaki. EPICFAIL! Frozen packaged chicken with store bought sauce on top of rice and barely cooked veggies. To top it all off they forgot my extra mushrooms. No mushrooms at all. When I called to complain they said the«chef» would fix it again for me tomorrow. Tomorrow? And I personally wouldn’t label him a chef. You have to go to school for that and as basic as that meal was I’m quite sure he was a cook and not a «chef.» Wont be going back There again.

Very Good food! I’m here to say that the food here is one of the best on the south side. I usually have the blackened or grilled chicken and shrimp salad, and have been eating it since the old location. It did seem to be prepared better at the other place(79th St Lawrence) but even with the changes it surpasses some of the salads I’ve had at pricier places downtown. Quality food and really laid back cool staff.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time, so I got a groupon to go here. I bought 2 different dishes. The first was the ½ chicken and rice pilaf. So when I think ½ chicken, I’m thinking ummm… ½ a chicken. Not a chopped up chicken breast in nursing home sized pieces *insert eyeroll*. Anyway, it was well seasoned and so was the rice pilaf and steamed broccoli. Then I tried the grilled chicken fettuccine. It was made with the same bite sized chicken. This time, there was absolutely, no salt, no seasoning, no nothing. Looking at it, you can tell this is real alfredo sauce. But then again, it had that weird aftertaste that comes from those bottled alfredo sauces in the grocery store. Now after I seasoned it myself, it was decent. But the whole point of take-out is not having to do stuff, so minus 2 stars for that and for chopping up my chicken toddler-style. Not cool.

The food is OK! Nothing special about this place beyond the fact that everything on the menu isn’t deep fried! Like most restaurants on the south side. If your use to quality food then you understand my opinion. When they were at the old location the quality of the food was 3 ½ now it’s 2 on a good day.

I don’t know why there are no reviews for this place. It’s really good. It’s kinda hidden on the street. You’ll pass right by it. I heard about this place a few years ago and didn’t really trust the opinion of there person who told me about it. Recently someone else said how good it was and I have to try the southwest chicken wrap first. I was able to see a menu and order from grub hub. My wrap was delish! I can’t wait to go back to try other menu items.
