Small Burger

Small means HUGE at Small Burger. Wow! And it is damn good! The Small Burger is actually 2 half pound patties. They have a spe c ial sauce that makes it extra good and good friss too. Call me a fan!

Great food… the small burger is anything but small… and Carlos is always ready ready to make you laugh… great family place.

Everything I’ve had there is real good. Great prices and the people who own it are super friendly. I love supporting local small business and places like this are exactly why.

Cute little burger place in Pilsen. I had one of their specialty burgers called «La Beba» and it was pretty good. It had mushrooms, grilled onions, chipotle sauce, bacon and mozzarella cheese on a ½ meat patty. The bun wasn’t as toasted as I would like but the topping and flavor was good. I’ve definitely had better quality burgers but its by no means bad. They have a variety of toppings you can put on the burgers so you can make it what you want. Solid little burger place. I’d recommend.

Best burger I’ve ever had– the new jalapeño burger is AMAZING, usually your choice of nacho jalapeños or long cut depending on how spicy you like it. The fries are exceptional as well.

I’m from Chicago, born and raised. I’ve moved to California two years ago, but when I visited for this past Christmas I was staying in Pilsen and I couldn’t get enough of Small Burger. They are honestly the best burgers I’ve ever had before, ever… seriously.

«Small Burger… That’s a HUGE Burger!» I laughed at their sign, and if you can make a girl laugh, you can make her buy a cheeseburger, or something like that. I stopped in here last night since the other half was craving burgers and they are few and far between in Pilsen. The place is almost a literal hole-​in-​the-​wall; it must have been converted from a first floor apartment by the looks of it. It’s small but there were seats at the counter where you can watch the fryer and grill, and a few tables… where you can also watch the fryer and grill I guess since it’s not very big, as I said. The space was clean, well-​lit, and decorated festively for Halloween. It also smelled amazing in there due to the sizzling meats.
There were just the two staff there last night who I assume are probably the owners, a man on the grill and the woman handling orders and register. The food didn’t take long at all, and I was pleasantly surprised to find lots of ketchup packets in our to go bag — not being stingy on the ketchup is a sign of greatness to me, you can’t eat a large fry with 2 ketchup packets! I’m looking at you, Mickey D’s. But I digress.
The burgers are ½ lb patties; we got a regular cheeseburger and their signature «Small Burger» — 2 patties (yes, an entire pound of meat), bacon, lettuce, grilled onion, tomato, pickles, & special sauce. And an order of fries to share. With 2 cans of Pepsi it came to about $ 17. They cook the burgers two ways — on the flat top and finished on the grill, so you really get that flame cooked taste that I really enjoy at summer BBQs. The fries were hot and crispy on the outside, and soft inside. Even the pickle slices were superior — had a real crunch to them, not the soggy floppy kind. Other than burgers they have some hot dogs, sausage, Italian beef, a pork chop — not a whole lot but your typical burger place grub. We absolutely will go back since it’s so close to us and a welcome respite from the sea of tacos on the street, the other half wants to try their jalapeño burger next!

Carlos and Sandra have a neat place here. The burger is enormous and tasty! I like the beef done extra juicy w sweet peppers. The fries are crunchy with a soft center with the right amount of salt. My only regret was not getting 2 small burgers as my roommate ate most of mine. STOP IN!
