Choosing a daycare is so hard, as you are turning over your most precious gifts to strangers. However, I have never regretted our selection of south loop Kindercare at any point over the five years my children have attended. From the moment my daughter started at four months old, we were met with warmth, care and compassion. The center director, Darcy Marshall, has been wonderful to work with. She is very well organized and that shows in the day to day operations of the center. She has been flexible, responsive and very open to feedback. The teachers have shown genuine care for my children and share daily feedback on how they are doing. They have additional activities such as phonics, Spanish, music and dance. They also have an indoor playground so children can get exercise even in cold or rainy weather. My children look forward to going to «school» each day and have formed wonderful relationships during their time there. The kids like their teachers so much that we have also had several of them babysit for us. Yes, there is some teacher turnover, but As a manager myself, I think that is common in an urban environment. Most of this turnover has been for the better and many of the teachers who have left, it was due to them completing their degrees(many seem to be taking graduate classes). Kindercare has really become like a family to us and we are so sad to see this era come to an end now that our kids are going to preschool and kindergarten. If you are looking for a well-run, high quality daycare facility in the South Loop area, I would strongly encourage you to give this place a look.

I read the filtered reviews and was actually shocked. My 5 year old daughter has gone to South Loop Kindercare since she was three months old and our experience has been nothing but positive. The teachers and staff have been patient, engaged and supportive and my daughter has formed attachments to many of them. In fact, she will be attending kindergarten in the fall and I am very sad that that era of her life is ending. When we first enrolled her at the South Loop Kindercare we were very nervous as new parents should be, but I always tell people we got really lucky about how well it all turned out. The only reason I did not give this review 5 stars is the price of daycare. That is not specific to Kindercare; they definitely don’t charge more than the average, but daycare is outrageously expensive. In response to some of the other reviews, of course the center is staffed by actual human beings, who unfortunately sometimes make mistakes. As long as the center responds properly that’s the best they can do. I did not have an experience like that, but if I did I would keep an open mind. Remember, no one is ever going to care for your child exactly the way you do, but the staff at Kindercare have definitely cared for my child in a way I appreciate. I will continue to refer anyone looking for daycare in that area to them.
