Carlo and Diego played the ceremony and cocktail reception for my outdoor wedding, and we could not have been more thrilled. They are beyond talented. A few of our guests were asking how they can hear more, buy the CD etc. Also, I originally started researching string quartets because that just seemed like the route people take for wedding music. I’m so glad we went with a Spanish guitar duo. It was different, fun, classic, and a real crowd pleaser. I strongly suggest that brides book them!

I’ve never been a big fan of the Flamenco or World music thing. That is until I saw this band play at City Winery. Most World music bands seem to always portray themselves as somehow more mystical and important than you. Guitars of Spain are just plain great musicians collaborating with other great musicians from all over the world. They also do an Otis Redding night sometimes that is just killer. If you’re in to this kinda stuff you have to go see them, and, if you’re not, but your friends are, you will all have a great time!

Less than a year ago we found ourselves in need of a guitar instructor to prepare our son for his pre screening audition and audition for the Indiana University Jacob School of Music. We were extremely lucky to have been introduced to Carlo. He was incredibly knowledgable and professional throughout my son’s training. He always made time to work with our son (even when he was out of the country!) Carlo also went out of his way to reach out to the University to give a recommendation on our sons behalf. Long story short, our son has been accepted to the Jacob School of Music and he wouldn’t have done that without Carlo. We cannot thank him enough for the time and dedication he gave to our son during the short period of time he had to prepare for his auditions. We highly recommend Carlo Basile.

I have been fortunate to see The Guitars of Spain perform on numerous occasions around the city of Chicago. Most recently I saw them at City Winery in West Loop where they performed a tribute to «King of Soul» Otis Redding. This accomplished ensemble collaborates with musicians from around the globe, so regardless of which musical genre one prefers, they have something for everyone. If you enjoy live entertainment and are looking for a relaxing evening of varied music and dance, I highly recommend taking the time to see The Guitars of Spain. You will be very glad you did!

I have seen The Guitars of Spain perform on numerous occasions in many venues. The ensemble is varied, highlighting world talent and representing music from many cultures. More importantly, they have a gift of connecting to their audience regardless of the venue. The Guitars of Spain never fail to exceed my expectations.
