Scumbag Steven Weaver. Doesn’t pay employees.

I attempted to get a mortgage with this company for many months before eventually just giving up. At the time I was unaware that you should not pay a mortgage officer up front for work they are going to do. (Chalk that up to learning). This group requires a small upfront payment ($ 600 per property).
They will never provide you with a loan. Although they advertise as a loan office with multiple banks, they have only access to one lending institution in Florida. I received this mortgage agent as a reference from a friend. The mortgage agent’s name was Steven R. Weaver. The friend that offered this mortgage agent apologized profusely for the referral, as he is now in a lawsuit against this company (he owns approximately 6 properties that he was refinancing that they were never able to close on).
I understand that many people have difficulties with mortgage agents, but I was in no hurry, so I continued to try. In the end, Steven stopped responding to emails and/​or phone calls, though the last email I did receive promised that he was working on a promising loan.
Given the chance, please use a different institution.
