St Andrew’s Lutheran School

This school is a hidden gem. The current teacher student ratio is 8 to 1 in my daughter’s class. The teachers are truly dedicated and involved and most live in the neighborhood. My child has done better than she ever did in a neighboring public school. Her grades have greatly improved in every subject, especially math and with that her self confidence and attitude about learning in general have improved as well. It’s a safe, loving environment that fosters caring not just having respect for others and stresses trying your best but also offers extra help when kids need it. They have mixed grades in this school since kids learn at different levels. This means every child gets an individual lesson plan from their teacher. It’s not a one size fits all, hope your kid eventually catches on kind of school. Highlights besides all that, $ 10 piano lessons, multiple sports, walks to McKinley Park for gym class, Action for Children approved early learning and after school care program for pre k to 8^th grade. As far as tuition there are tiers and grants are available.

This school is fantastic. My daughter originally attended a Catholic school for a month during her kindergarten year and we felt very unwelcome. We than transferred to St. Andrew and are extremely pleased with the results. We loved it so much we will be sending all of our kids there. The staff is caring and her academic gains are incredible.

I think this a great private school for kids. It provides a great education and a safe environment for children to learn in. Their schooling starts from pre-​school and only goes up until 8^th grade. They have a great cirriculum here and a very good staff that is dedicated. I think this school is a much better option than most of the public schools in the area.
