I recently have started going to the St. Francis Community Health Center. And, I truly believe that none of us like going to see our Doctors on the regular, but, hey, sometimes we just have to do it! St. Francis Community Health Center is conveniently located in Rogers Park, and it’s a nice modern building/structure. You need to make an appointment for sure, however, even with said appointment time scheduled you may end up waiting. Because the Dr’s on staff there do get backed up and overloaded sometimes and when I was younger Boy, if I had to wait an extended period of time this would really irk the Hell out of me! However, since I have aged I only get a little Grumpy if I have to wait. Because I have truly learned that Patience is a Virtue. Now, any Doctor who gets stuck taking care of me gets major props because unfortunately over the last few years my personal health path has been more like the Highway to Hell. A Heart Attack, Hand Surgery, hospitalized 4 times last year alone. And, unfortunately for me, on going conditions remain. On Monday I met with Dr. Ahmed and Dr. Hoffman and Boy, did I like them, they were knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. These guys were great, went step by step with me through everything. I didn’t even mind having my Blood drawn. Hey, they used a Butterfly Needle, and I like Butterflies! The Nurses here are also kind and compassionate, Marquarita was my Nurse and Boy, did I like her! For the Record, Nurses are not paid nearly what they’re worth! Wish I could give them all a raise. They also have Munchkin Doctors if your Munchkin gets Sick,. on Monday when I was there I saw lots of Munchkins with their parents and one even came over to me to say Hi. For some reason I make the Munchkins Smile. Yeah, Go Figure! So, if you live in Rogers Park and are looking for a Doctor you should call and make an appointment to see a Doctor here. They have a great staff of people to welcome you from the moment you walk through the door. And, they are affiliated with Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston! Such a great addition for us folks in Rogers Park. And, I for one am happy they’re here…
