Stivers Coffee

Best cup of iced coffee I have ever consumed. Lately, I have been partial to la colombe cold pressed. This is much better, I want to go back and try everything.

I dont even drink coffee but I will drink stivers coffee I get it fresh out the roaster. Greg gives phenomenal customer service deliverys every cup with a smile

Hands down best coffee in Chicago. Have been getting a little from these guys at the Independence Park Farmers Market for two years now. Love to make a strong brew with their dark roasts – it’s a GREAT cup of coffee. If you’re a coffee snob like me then you really need to give these guys a try. Much better in my opinion than anything you’ll get from Intelligentsia, Trader Joes/​Whole Foods, or the local co-​op (unless, of course, Stivers is in fact vending in these places).

We have tried several of Stivers’ whole bean coffees and loved them all. Run, don’t walk, to Stivers immediately.
We live in Pilsen and saw the reviews on Unilocal.We had to try it. Be warned, it is a bit of an adventure finding the business. It is in a «rustic» warehouse that has all the trappings of a Saw movie. Also, it is not a «store»; Stivers is a coffee roaster that has random hours. It is easier to think of it as a coffee boutique that requires an appointment.
That all said, like anything worthwhile, the trip to get this great coffee is well worth the effort. Greg, the proprietor and chief roaster, is a gracious educator and warm host. His expert coffee roasting is matched by his outgoing personality. For a person looking for that special coffee — this is a must try!!! Also, Greg is very flexible when it comes to arranging for delivery of the coffee.

Ever since we lost Sumatra from casteel in Evanston we have ben sampling coffee everywhere in the Chicagoland area and were considering buiyng our 3 lbs per month from MI UNTIL we stumbled upon this roaster at the Maple Syrup Festival. OMG– excellent roaster and his Sumatra is better than any around! call before you go to their obscure location (no signage) cause they roast and deliver themselves. Am afraid to let people know about this secret but i want them to be successful!

This is the most amazing coffee I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. I would buy 4lbs every 2 weeks when I was living in Pilsen. I recently found the flavored brands in KC Chocolate Shop on Diversey and almost hurt myself plowing my son’s stroller through the door. While I am not normally a fan of flavored coffee, Stiver’s actually TASTES like the flavor, not just smells like it. His regular coffee is to die for and I need to get it on a regular basis again.
