This past Wednesday I had the pleasure of getting highlights from Ashley. This was my first time seeing her and was beyond impressed with her ability to transform my hair! I came in with brown hair that was due for a color correction. I left with amazing highlights and the ability to call myself a blonde. I told Ashley what I wanted and she was able to give me that plus more. If you’re looking for a new stylist in this area, I highly recommend Ashley!

Well, where do I begin. I follow my colorist like I follow my doctors — they know me inside and out! That said, I unwillingly followed my colorist Ward Williams to this salon even though I had been here before I met Ward Williams at Red Door. Wow… some things never change…
I tend to get my hair colored after work and I was absolutely shocked to experience that while I was sitting in the chair, the girl at the front desk had started turning off the lights and music trying to hurry us out. This happened multiple times, not just once. I held my breathe and never said anything to Ward Williams but guess what! He finally left!
If you’re looking for Chicago’s top colorist, head a few blocks over to Delle Amiche as he no longer works at Sudio Vital. Ward Williams is the most personable, caring and genuine human you will ever meet. He takes his time and his pride in your happiness never ceases to amaze me. At Delle Amiche, the environment and staff is warm and inviting and they they go above and beyond to win you over. There’s a guy by name of Javier who picked up my dress at Bloomingdales and even asked if he could pick me up a salad as he knew I was getting my hair colored during my lunch break. Talk about a full service salon!
DO NOT GO HERE — head to Delle Amiche to see Ward Williams and I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

I love Fred!!! Every haircut is great and grows out well. My son Nick Bruscadue wont have anyone else cut his hair unless its impossible to get to him from the other side of the world. That would be the Philippines. Nick is in the Peace Corps you know. I’m doing a short hair thing now. I like it. Do you?

I absolutely love Studio Vital — great people, great location and owners who really seem to care. That being said I come for one thing only — Ward. Ward is an exceptional colorist who truly cares about his craft. If I ever lost my wits about me and wanted to say, go completely blonde, Ward would take the the time to A. Measure my sanity (is this because I just got dumped?) B. Attempt to help me find a balance and finally C. He’d listen to my crazy @ss and take me blonde … But in a way that looks so natural you’d think that was the plan all along.
Thankfully I usually have my wits about me when I’m at Studio Vital and even more thankful am I that Ward always takes the time to give me a stellar color that makes me look like a bombshell, ready for the red carpet.
I’ve always been a bit of a hair snob and I’d tell you that I don’t let just anyone cut or color my hair but when Ward recommends stylist Fred — I trust him.
A great cut — exactly what I needed.
I come for the Ward, I love the Fred and I truly enjoy the atmosphere at Studio Vital.

Well, I have to change my review since we had a problem with their hair straightening treatment. It cause my sister hair loss and it didn’t give the wanted result. We contacted them three times to find us a solution and they only gave us a false reassurance!
THE MANAGER NEVER CALL US BACK! ITS MORE THAN 2 WEEKS NOW!!!

Prices listed on their website are not what are actually honor in store. They have prices that are actually double what they advertise online. Manager is incredibly rude and made me feel that it was my problem that the prices were listed incorrect online. Make sure you ask what the price of the service is when booking your appointment. Also, don’t try to have them honor the listed online price, it is not worth the battle. Zero customer service.

I know it’s not a guy thing to think about reviewing the place where he gets his haircut, but Studio Vital has a lot of male customers, so I’m going to try to balance this out a bit genderwise. Haircuts are, after all, something guys have to tend to, so I’m throwing this out there. Studio Vital is a very comfortable place for anyone to get a haircut.
Pascal has been giving me my haircuts for the past 15 years, long before he became a part of Studio Vital, so I’m obviously very satisfied with his skill in doing haircuts. Since I know he gets quite booked up every day with both men and women, I clearly have lots of company with my opinion about his talent.
But it’s also obvious to me that all of the hair people at Studio Vital are very busy. In fact, it’s a place you’re usually going to want to book far enough in advance. Though I have seen walk-​ins able to get services while I was there.
I’m not knowledgeable enough about the prices at competing hair places in the hood to say just how reasonable Studio Vital is, but I assume it wouldn’t be such a busy place if prices were out of line. Its location just off Rush on Maple would not suggest it’s a discount haircut place, but I assume that it would make sense for a first-​timer to call ahead for prices.
You’ll be offered water at least once during your visit, the chairs are quite comfy, the support personnel are all very friendly — it’s just a very comfortable place to go whether you’re a man looking for an excellent haircut, or a woman looking for any of the myriad things that women do to their hair.
Parking is not an issue for me, living just a couple of blocks away. But I do notice the building has valet parking, and I know the hood well enough to suggest that that would be the way to go. Give it a try — you’ll be back.

As an athlete, I need hairstyles that are easy to maintain and look good after running, swimming or a session at the gym. With a cut, color or style by Ashley, I’m always looking my best (even after I’ve worked up a sweat).
I’ve been going to Ashley for years and there’s a reason I remain loyal: she knows exactly what she’s doing. My mom used to say beauty takes time. While at some salons, I’d expect to be there all day. Not when I book an appointment with Ashley. I’ve come to a hair appointment right after a swim workout at 10 am and left, with a gorgeous ‘do, by 1 pm.

2 words to start this review: Ward Williams. Simply the best colorist in the Gold Coast. He is gentle, caring, concerned about me and never lets me down. The salon is open & airy. Everyone is extremely customer friendly. I recommend Studio Vital to anyone who likes a great salon experience.

If you go to Studio Vital, make sure to book your color with Ward Williams! Ward has been doing my color for almost ten years and I literally don’t trust my hair in anyone else’s hands. I go to Ward for a bold, low-​maintenance look because I don’t have the money to get my hair colored regularly and he gives me highlights that last 6 months because he does them in such a way that when they grow out they completely blend into my natural hair color. People are always asking me if I’ve recently gotten my hair done even if it’s been months since I’ve seen him. He will sit down with you to make sure he knows exactly what you want and he will work with you to make sure he can deliver the best results possible for you. It’s truly all about you when you go see him, and he makes you feel so comfortable and you can tell right away he genuinely cares about making you look your absolute best. He’s extremely passionate and talented at what he does and it shows. If you want to look gorgeous and have the best f-​ing hair on your block go to Ward and I promise you won’t regret it. It will be the best decision you ever make for your hair.

I have been going to Ward Williams for hair color ever since I moved to Chicago! He is fabulous– the only person who I will ever let color my hair! His shampoos and blow outs are unbelievable as well. He’s the best!

I go to Ward and only Ward for my highlights. He is really talented at color on all fronts. He is a perfectionist and treats your hair as if it were his own. Any time I want a change, he really listens and knows exactly what look I envision. He customizes his approach my for hair and is spot on every time.

Beautiful salon run by Beautiful people. I love this place for its comfortable environment, accessibility and not to mention the amazing services! I see Ward every 6 weeks for a partial highlight and I am increasingly satisfied with his work (not to mention his cutie boyish looks :). I have gone to Ewa for facials for almost 15 years now. She is amazing. She takes great care in helping my acne prone skin with no breakouts after the facial. She is the best. Check her out. You won’t be disappointed!

I went to Studio Vital for the first time last week. I had my appointment with Matt who came highly recommended by my friend. Matt was great, took his time with the cut, and was fun to talk to. He even took extra time to put some curls in my hair when he finished. I would definitely recommend Studio Vital for anyone looking for a new stylist!

I love Studio Vital! Matt G. is fantastic– he gave me the best haircut I have ever had. He listened to what I wanted and gave me some great advice as to what he thought would look good. My cut turned out great and several weeks later, it still looks good every time I style it! If you are looking for professionalism and an enjoyable experience, I would highly recommend Matt G. to anyone!

A sleak boutique style hair salon just off Rush St. on Maple. Very friendly staff starting with Brian at the front desk. Super talented colorists like Melissa and Gabiel as well as great stylists like Matt, Fred and of course Pascal.
I always feel like a million bucks after my color and cut. I am over 50 and feel very chic after my appointments. In fact I always get asked where I get my hair done.
Check the place out. There is meter street parking and/​or valet parking right in front!

Are you an older woman or look at home on the Jersey Shore? Then this salon will provide you with fantastic results down to your tiniest expectation. I, personally, got a pretty bad cut here, unfortunately. I have not tried their color, but given the above and poor service; I won’t be back or encourage anyone outside of the initially mentioned demographics to even bother trying it out.

My favorite colorist in the world, Gabriel just moved to Studio Vital! I highly recommend his work. And he’s a blast to chat with during your visit.
My color always looks natural and fresh.
For over 10 years he has listened to what I want and always makes me feel like a «supermodel» when I leave!

Studio Vital is an awesome Salon! I have been having Kendall cut my hair for years! She is an awesome stylist! I would never go to anyone else! Studio Vital is contemporary and young. If you are going for a hair cut or blow dry be sure to ask for Kendall.
