Subway

Not only is this location 24 hours, but the man there during the over night shift during the weekend is AMAZING! We drive past a couple 24 hour subways just to come to this one:)

Service here is HORRIBLE! The guy that makes the sandwiches is rude and doesn’t want to be there. If he doesn’t like being there then maybe he should find another job that doesn’t require him doing anyone. He slams the ingredients, doesn’t listen to the order, and has a huge attitude. I walked in to get some sandwiches for a trip and he looks bothered every time someone walks into his restaurant. While he was making the sandwiches he stood behind the counter cracking jokes about people in a different language and got my order wrong. HORRIBLE and racist! Never coming back.

Okay. Obviously I meant WITHOUT the sandwich. Damn auto text correction! I’m not a thief dammit!!!

Horrible customer service. The «Sandwich Nazi» is the best description of the guy working behind the glass. He doesn’t listen to what you are ordering and acts like it offends him that you want your order correct. Stay clear of this place!

Very lazy workers. Never a good experience here, walked out last 2 times. There seems to be a trend with the creep working behind the counter. Lazy, rude, disrespectful, nasty, dirty, creepy, perverted (oogling young girls trying to order), I can go on and on. I don’t understand how someone can keep the guy on payroll. The food is average subway, if you can make it through the ordering process with these morons working here.

I like to imagine the «sandwich-​nista» getting hit by a car. This place sucks, the guy that makes the subs sucks, and well… the guy sucks. I don’t know if he has a superiority complex or a little man complex, possibly both, but he sucks. As for the the review, it’s subway. Why are you looking on Unilocal for a subway review? F this guy. F this chain and most of all F this guy. I like to think he is a student of U of Chicago and we’re a part of his thesis, but in reality, he’s a dick that loves bad tv. Oh, and he loves when you piss all over the bathroom.

My review pretty much mirrors that of Cheryl’s and Adri’s.
I stopped in here recently to grab a sandwich before work. The gentleman who was working just seemed disgruntled at the fact there was one customer coming into order. I felt as if I disturbed him by ordering here. He started making my sandwich and when he asked if I wanted it toasted, I said «no». Then he turns around immediately and throws it in the toaster. He was so unsocial and rude that I didn’t argue the fact and paid so I could get to work on time.
There was another time a friend and I had come in here late night (2−3am) to enjoy some late night sandwiches. As soon as we grabbed our food to sit down, the employee asked if we were really eating inside, to which we said yes. He said okay and walked away angrily. About 10 minutes in he says to us «you guys need to finish in 10 minutes, I have to mop». We felt pretty offended, but we said okay. Soon enough, he brings the mop out and starts mopping around us. So we understand that as the cue to leave.
As long as this subway has this poor customer service and employees who are very rude, they have lost my business completely.
I would refer everyone down to the Subway at the corner of Milwaukee and Nagle. The staff is much more friendly and always seem to have a smile on their faces.

I must have gotten the same bitter guy as the last reviewer. I did not have a chance to eat breakfast at home and decided to stop here on my way to work.
The store was empty and I received no greeting when I entered and the young man actually looked bothered that someone came in and made him work.
I asked for their 3 inch breakfast sandwich on flatbread… he grabs the regular footlong bread when I correct him that I wanted the flat bread. he goes to the back and came back and threw the flatbread into the counter and continued on to angrily pile on the ingredients to make the sandwich… he was just very very rude and then when he charged me. I realized that he had made a 6 inch not a three inch…
I normally wouldn’t have cared for the mistake and paid the $ 1 difference but just because he was so grouchy and rude, I did dispute it and reminded him that it was HIS mistake not mine that he hadn’t listened and started rushing through the process. Needless to say… there is no way I will be making a stop ever again to this particular subway store with this very disgruntled worker.

Everytime I come here the guy working is the most angry, poorest sandwich maker. It was completely empty at 9pm on a Saturday and he is just barking at us and throwing ingrediants onto the sandwich. There are way better Subways in the area and this guy just completely lost my business.

they used to have a guy here who took 20secs and made a great sandwich… now there are some girls there who rush around like chickens with their heads cut off who make not so great sandwiches… im just about done ladies

I know. 4 for a subway is a bit much. but here’s why.
These guys are open 24hours! Ugh. I love. I work as a PM shift RN… This means I leave work at about midnight. Good luck finding something healthier to eat when Chicago becomes «Fast Food-​ville» right? So i’m really happy these guys are a 24hr joint.
Anyway. My caution is this: be careful with the avocado. I’ve been served unripened avocado a couple of times from these guys; I mean cmon. If your knife aint slicing it and you’re hacking wishing it were a machete… maybe it’s time to give it up. But… still.
I’m a fan of any place open after midnight. Otherwise, typical Subway. So three stars for Subway, extra star for being open late. It’s pretty clean in here and they aren’t ridiculous with portions for veggies. (No salad sandwiches here).
