My experience with Air duct Chicago(Max Fhima company) was so unprofessional. For 7yrs my daughter was living in a property I own. I moved back into my home with my daughter Aug. 2013. She got married Nov. 2013 then moved out Aug 2014. All my stuff was in storage so before I moved my stuff in, I was in the process of painting the walls and bought a Groupon for $ 43 to have the ducts cleaned with Chicago Airduct aka super clean duct. The package was to clean unlimited vents, two receiving vents, dryer vent and furnace inspection. The day the technican came out I had my heat on so that the compound we used to patch up the holes in the wall will dry quicker. The dispatcher from Air duct Chicago called to say the technican is on his way so we opened the windows and turned the furnace off. When he arrived he vaccum all the vents then he inspected my furnance. He showed me all the dust in the furnace and said he could clean it and include a yearly cleaning for $ 100 but it had to be paid in cash. I paid the $ 100 cash. After he was done he didn’t try to clean up the paper towels and the old filters he left behind. Later on that evening I turned on the heat but it never kicked in. I went to check the furnace and discovered it was not lighting, I could only hear clicking noise. I contacted the company to let them know that my furnace isn’t working, so they sent out another technican, he couldn’t get it going, he started making comments about the gas line not working. I asked to speak to the owner, He told me he would send a more experience technican out. The next day the more experience tech came out and discovered that the auto pilot mercury sensor was broken(this is the part that communicate from the pilot to the burners, when that thing gets hot the burners will light). He and his boss decided to call a local HVAC company to come out and fix this issue. When the tech from the other company gave Max his price they backed out saying it was to expensive. I called the experience tech that Max sent to find out what are they going to do, he told me that I need to do what I need to do because the HVAC tech’s price was to ridiculous when the part only cost $ 61 but he wanted to charge them $ 500 to put it on. He went on to say that there was no way that the vaccuming of the furnace could have broken that part. So neither Max Fhima or anyone from that company has come to fix what their tech has broken or is willing to own up to it. They don’t care about satisfying the customer. It is the fall month of October and getting cold but everytime I call Max or Frank or John I go straight to their voicemail and they never return my calls. I even call the office everyday to leave messages for them but I don’t get a return call. Oh one last thing. I did get a call from John one of the managers there, he wanted to sell me a brand new furnace for $ 1650. Now how do we go from finding and replacing a part for $ 61 to me giving them $ 1650. I admit at first a new furnace sounded real good but I had to remember who I was really dealing with. These are the same individuals that don’t what to own up to what they break. Also if the company specialize in cleaning duct then why are you having your unexperienced technicans messing with people furnaces and when they break something they can’t fix it.
