T R’s Pub

It’s a house, It’s a bar, It’s a banquet hall. It is a unique looking place that would of been teared down long ago in places like Dupage County that want no uniqueness in the community and just gas stations and Walgreens. I enjoyed this place. Its good to see a bar like this among many bars in this neighborrhood. No shame in having a place to drink.

A fine establishment in Chicago’s Mount Greenwood neighborhood. TRs opens nice and early in the morning to serve those of us who don’t work bankers hours and the end of the day often comes around 7am. The feel is that of a nice family owned bar with the type of regular folk barkeeps that’ll remember your favorite drink. The crowd is a bit older and more reserved than some of the other Irish pubs in the area but they were rather tolerant of our 20somethingness tom foolery and shenanigans. Billiards and darts are available for the sportsman as is a juke box for those looking to rock out or perhaps drown their sorrows over a glass of the multiple available whiskeys. I’ve been to TRs multiple times and will certainly be going again.
