Delicious, fast, casual and cute ambiance. Very friendly employees behind the counter. Looking forward to trying more than the very good pizza by the slice. Happy to have it in the hood

We love Tano’s. The pizza is great & consistent. Bonus: the people behind the counter are so nice.

I was looking for a place for a group of 8 to eat near the Windy City Playhouse, I wanted casual, friendly, reasonable with a diverse menu and good food. I’m so glad I found Tano’s! While it’s a walk-in place, when I called ahead they willingly offered to hold a table for us. The organic house salad was excellent, the balsamic and zesty Italian dressings were standouts. The thin pizza was delicious(and we have high standards for pizza). The pasta was also very good, the pesto and the tomato sauce. Two disappointments: the person who ordered the panini didn’t love it, I didn’t try it but it looked like it was too much bread. And we always like fresh jalapeños on pizza, but they only had pickled or giardiniera.

I’ve been ordering from Tano’s since it used to be Manzo’s. Their pizza is delicious and fresh. I stick to the basic thin crust with any toppings. Never disappointed. Always order delivery, I have never waited over 45 minutes for it to arrive. No complaints and nothing but praises for Tano’s.

The food was fabulous. If not for who ever processed my order there would be more stars. I placed an order online. Noticed I spent enough money to get a free order of wings. I tried to apply the coupon, system says the wings must be in my cart before I can apply coupon, so I do. Food arrives and total is more then my electronic receipt. It seems when the lady processed my order she noted my wing coupon and added another order of wing to the order. It took a phone call to straighten out and she still didn’t give me the correct total. Ok so now I want to eat. I open my steak sandwich and I see the grilled onions I paid for, but hey where’s the lettuce and tomato the sandwich regularly comes with? Ahh there they are warm, mushy and wilted under a pile of hot fries. How lovely. Now as I snack away where’s my coleslaw and I ordered deluxe ??. Nope not under the fries. No where to be found. So I paid for it and it’s not there. After the wing fiasco I opted to not make another call.

Hands down the best pizza in the area. The bruschetta is the best I ever had too. The baked Italian Chicken was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My kids couldn’t get enough of the baked penne. The staff is friendly and gracious. I would recommend to anyone for dine in, carry out or delivery.

Customer service lacks. They have messed my order up a few times and aren’t very apologetic. They also never honor their coupons and their advertising claims they deliver lunch for free, which is not true or ever been honored. I do enjoy their pizza. when my order is correct and their delivery driver is the nicest guy! Customer service matters to me though. Step it up Tano’s, you could be so much more! :)

I’ve been going to Tano’s pretty much from the day they opened a few years ago and have to say this is one of the best places for Italian food in Chicago! The Caprese salad is a great starter, as well as the calamari. definitely get the bigger portion because it’s delicious(excellent squid to breading ratio)! The pizza(both thin and deep dish) is phenomenal! There is a reason Tano’s was on the top 10 list for the best deep dish pizza in Chicagoland! Some of my other favorites include the Baccala(Friday special), the fish is perfectly cooked in tomato sauce and olives and just melts in your mouth. Baked Tilapia in a Bag is not only a healthy option but amazingly tasty as well and if you get it with broccoli, you won’t be disappointed, I kept wanting to have more of just that! Broccoli is sauteed in garlic and lemon and is soooo good. just can’t get enough of it! Everything on the menu is fantastic! My friends had the chicken and beef dishes and were raving about those too! Another wonderful thing about this place, it’s BYOB, so bring your favorite bottle to accommodate the delicious food! Oh and you must save room for dessert! They make tiramisu from scratch and it’s the best tiramisu I’ve ever had! Absolutely love this place and wish I could give them a higher rating than 5 because they deserve it! Exceptional food, excellent customer service(say hi to Tom when you visit, he’s the best!) and great prices! The perfect combination! Go visit them and see for yourself! :)

Cute little ambiance reminds me more of a bistro or coffee shop than a pizza place. I got a lunch special(2 slices + soda) for $ 5 + tax. The price is great and the pizza was pretty tasty too. I may try the whole pizza or different dishes in the future, but for a quick and cheap lunch, this place is great

Ordered there southwest pizza and have been let down. I love BBQ chicken Pizza and am somewhat of a snob when it comes to it. I haven’t been let down this hard on a pizza place in a while I believe I got the 14 inch there’s 25 small chunks of chicken sprinkled around the outside which would be fine but the nonexistent BBQ sauce is a thin runny pink sauce… Not BBQ oh yeah and it cost me $ 23. You guys can be so much better by some sweet baby rays or KC Masterpiece or a thick real BBQ sauce! I asked before ordering about the sauce and I was assured it was a thick brown BBQ sauce… It annoys me when I’m mislead the but crust was good… So there’s the second star.

First time I ordered the pizza was a little under done, so when I ordered the second time I asked for well done. The thin crust pizza was great. My 4 years old loves it! I love the bruchetta as well. Not to soggy but not dry or hard bread. All in all great food. Staff seems a little under the weather though.

I’ve been looking for a new pizza place in my area for awhile now. I’m really picky about my pizza. The sauce has to be flavorful and crust thin and crispy(not too doughy). Tano’s it is! The pizza came quickly and piping hot. I can’t wait to try the daily specials!

…I ordered from this place once before and the manfriend and I were looking for grub. We always forget this place is down the street from him, so we moseyed(bet you didn’t know that’s how you put ‘mosey’ in past tense now did you?! o_O) on down to eat in cause we needed some fresh air. I wasn’t exaggerating when I say that I came close to tears when I tried the garlic parmesan wings(recommended by the staff member Katie who was LOVELY!) that was part of their Monday night special(Large thin crust one topping, 6 wings, and a huge mixed greens salad and a 2LRC. We didn’t get the RC though because we eat in). The food came out SOFAST, and the wings were so hot but delicious I sure enough risked a second degree burn cause I couldn’t wait. Their gluten free pizza is also REALLY good. Get it. My goodness…

We usually order from here for lunch because of the free delivery. It’s just ok but my chicken sandwich that I got today was really bad. The lettuce was slimey and discolored. Who would put this in a box and send it out for delivery? So gross.

I liked it. I ordered a thin crust«Meat Eater» 10inch and an order of cookies via GrubHUb. That put me just over the minimum for delivery. I ordered about 2hrs ago for a point of reference. They were fast!!! Grub Hub quoted time was being a solid hour to hour ten. They were here within 30mins. That’s borderline Domino’s time frame… and about half as long as most places via GrubHub. The delivery guy was nice. So, very very fast. Granted, it is a Monday night… so, woohoo for me having an offset weekend. The Pizza. This is some pretty good square cut thin crust. I think it is often called Chicago Tavern Pizza. The basic premise is a thin crust(sometimes cracker, sometimes closer to thin), sauce, toppings, cheese. This one was right between cracker and thin. Not doughy or anything, but not cracker thin or crunchy. I liked it. The sauce was minimal but fitting to the pie. Their«Meat Eater» is sausage, ham, pepperoni, and ground beef. A nice compliment. The flavors melded well together! One of the issues I run into with Meat Lover’s style pizzas is that they get waaaaaaaaay too salty for me. This one didn’t have that issue. The cheese was good! It added a slightly creamy flavor to the mostly meat and crust pizza. I’d def order this again… especially since they were fast. The Cookies-tasted like they came from a local bakery. Pretty good ones-each was about the size of a slider(maybe 4.5 in diameter). I ordered them to meet the minimum delivery, but they tasted at least on par with cookies from the grocery store(Mariano’s, Jewel’s, etc). So overall? They’re def AOK(3 star), and after I try more of their menu-could easily be a 4 star joint for me. Their standalone website is informative enough, they’re on GrubHub(even though there wasn’t a link to the reviews on here), and they were fast. I’m very satisfied.

I stopped in for a quick dinner not realizing the Manzo’s connection. I never had Manzo’s pizza but had eaten there and was sad that it was gone after so many years on Irving Park Rd. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza, a small Cesar salad, and a soda-cost about $ 13. The pizza didn’t look great sitting there on the counter and it didn’t taste great even after it was heated up. Not a terrible piece of pizza but nothing I need to have again. The salad was a plate of lettuce(including some pieces which should not have been used), croutons, and a plastic container of dressing. The young woman at the counter was adequate.

This review is for Stuffed Crust Pan Pizza(Chicago Style) only. I have not recently tried anything else from this location. We recently ordered Chicago style pizza from Tano’s and as soon as we bit into it I remembered that we’d ordered from this place before and did not like it. I’m writing this review, in part, to remind myself of this fact before we waste money ordering from here again. We usually get Giordano’s, but thought we’d give Tano’s a try since it’s a few bucks cheaper and in the neighborhood. I will not order it again though, because the pizza is ALL bread. They seriously skimp on the toppings. Honestly, if there were more than five baby spinach leaves on our pizza I would be surprised. We ordered two pizzas(for variety) but you couldn’t tell them apart! They might as well have both been cheese. Also, the delivery took longer than promised.

We love the menu– something for everyone! Dine in — come with the family! The Italian beef flight is a favorite! Thin crust ordered crispy — so many toppings to chose from :) BYOB!!! Delivery is quick & food is HOT! Good Italian menu right down to homemade tiramisu! A family tradition in the making!

It’s Monday night and Serio is closed. Pete’s, our old favorite, is dead to me now since it seems obvious that they are skimping on quality to cover their never-ending renovations. What to do? Order a Monster Pizza from Tano’s! For $ 20, you basically get two large pizzas; an incredible deal. Plus, this is flavorful, saucy, thin and crispy. Delivered in a flash and a free liter of soda for all orders over $ 15. We have a new winner!
