Solid pizza here. They usually char the pepperoni– which tastes great. They don’t shy on the toppings either. Usually get a free liter of pop with a large pizza. Good find in Mt Greenwood! They have no indoor seating.

Well, I’d love to be able to review the actual food, but the owner was so incredibly rude to me on the phone that we didn’t place our take out order. Let me explain: A couple of weeks ago I won a free Tata’s pizza while playing Chili’s Bar Bingo. The coupon featured the Tata’s logo, address, phone number, etc. The date on the coupon was 10÷15÷15, valid for 30 days after that date on Monday’s only. So we decided to give it a try last night. The girl on the phone was very nice and sweet and kindly told me that the business no longer accepts these coupons and hasn’t in over two years. I was a little puzzled and questioned her about it, as Chili’s seems to be pretty reputable company that offers these types of «prizes» every week at a ton of different bars in the area. She was very apologetic and after her explanation, she offers me the opportunity to speak to the owner. I hear her explaining the situation to him before giving him the phone. He immediately gets on the phone, no hello or friendly greeting, he just immediately says«I don’t know where you got that from or who the hell is using my name, but we stopped giving those away years ago, I am not honoring that coupon» Again, I have no problem with him not accepting my freebie coupon if I received it in error. However, when I attempted to tell him that he should contact Chili’s and let them know, he wouldn’t let me talk and just kept saying«I’m not honoring it!!!» Ok guy. I get it. You don’t want my business. I’m going to assume that he pegged me as a cheapo who wouldn’t still place an order if he didn’t honor my coupon. Well, he was wrong. Had he been the slightest bit of a nice guy about the whole thing, we would have gladly still placed an order. Instead, he was a total jerk to me. It is really a shame, because I keep hearing about how great the Italian beef is. Too bad I won’t get the chance to try it.

family owned and operated with a huge investment in the neighborhood. If you like sweet sauce and light crust then tatas is the place. Call in and most times your pizza is ready in 20 mins. ! Where else can you get a Pizza named after the kids? Da best! The Maas family

Italian beef with giardiniera so good! After a road trip to Colorado and no decent pizza, I was craving my neighborhood favorite. I wanted something different and went for the Italian beef. What a treat! The garlic bread also killer with a side of sauceI they’re quick, friendly, and reasonably priced, but most of all, just great pizza! I highly recommend.

We love Tata’s! I don’t even like pizza and I really like Tata’s pizza. Their sauce and crust are really good, and they definitely do not skimp on the cheese. And the cheese melts in your mouth. Every time I call for pick-up, they say it’ll be about 15 minutes and the pizza is always ready — and super hot and fresh. We also love their homemade Italian ice in the summer :)

Much better than the place down the street… Writing this review is making me want to make an unplanned Tatas order!

This review is based entirely on the quality of the pizza. I’ve ordered take out twice. The first time to try a different place, different pizza. The next time because we had some people over and I wanted to give it another chance. Both times the pizza was not that great. This is not a very flavorful pizza in my opinion, and it seems to have a slightly sweeter sauce. It’s not bad though, more like meh.

This place is awesome! The pizza is phenomenal, and if you go in the good weather seasons, their BYOB patio is an awesome spot to dine. Their delivery drivers are great as well.

It’s like a cross between Palermo’s and Rosangelas. Those have always been my 2 favorite pizzas. Tata’s has taken the #1 spot for sure.

We had my daughter’s baptism in their party room. It was fantastic, the price was great, the room was nice. They let my Aunt come in early to decorate with tablecloths and banners but didn’t add that on to the per-hour room charge. We had about 50 people. The girl who took care of us was great! The food was delicious and affordable and we saved SOMUCH money with the byob, not only byob but byo-pop as well. All of my family who lives in the area is talking about switching to Tatas, their sauce is outstanding!

If you love a thicker type pizza with generous toppings Tata’s is the place to go! Try the pepperoni pizza. It’s baked until the pepperoni is crisp on the edges and absolutely fantastic. We call it «crack» pizza at home because after 1 piece you will be addicted.

The owner is a big huge jerk. Service was terrible and the owner was extremely rude. They don’t tell you abt the corking fee until it’s too late. A horrible, horrible experience. There are plenty of other places with good pizza. You shouldn’t have to put up with what we had to put up with.

Tata’s gets 5 stars. Why? BYOB! Seriously. Hit the place in the summer, and sit on the patio. Get a couple of pizzas with family, bring a few bottles of wine, and some beer. Let the night carry on! Good times!!! Ok, the food? The pizza is 4 star if you ask me. Service is quick and they carry a good thin crust tavern style pizza. It’s Chicago, and the pizza is thin crust. You might not like what I like. Try it, and you may agree! And the pizza the next day? Oh man. I used to eat it cold, but my sister heated it up in a frying pan. SOMUCHBETTER! The crust was crispy again!!! I heard they may close a little early, and might not be the most friendly folks. Ok… Get there/order early, and remember you are not eating personality. This is the type of place I want to open!

Tata’s Pizza I give it a 10 star!!! Me and my fiancé christina had our shower here in there back room banquet hall. I been eating pizza with tatas for over a year and her family over 5 years and there pizza is excellent on point. But when we had other food from there OMG! There meatballs and italian sausage, mostaccoli is to die for I had to take the left overs it will not go into waste! Beautiful place, excellent service and dominic and his daughter natalie are great owners! This place in my opinion ranks #1 in the area and just in the south period… great food, comfortable and its BYOB!

The pizza at Tata’s is fantastic! The crust is hand tossed and the ingredients are really fresh. We had the vege pizza which was loaded with red and green peppers, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes. It’s BYOB and you can sit outside. The server was friendly and the prices are good. They also have great Italian ice! You should definitely try it!

Best thin crust pizza in Mt. Greenwood… I suggest trying meatball and roasted red peppers won’t disappoint

We’ve only just recently started ordering from here but I’m definitely a fan, it’s got very similar crust to Beggar’s which I love, and you get lotsa sausage and green peppers on the pizza, I also tried the calzone too which was good, nice BYOB patio in the summer, I definitely plan on ordering in the future

The pizza is good and the prices are reasonable, but the way this business is ran is disappointing. I raved about the pizza to a friend so we decided to go for lunch. What a mistake. After finding the«entrance» we were greeted with disgust. How dare we read the large banner outside that says Italian ice and pizza by the slice and come in asking for a menu to order? They have absolutely no seating and do not use their beer garden at all. What a waste of a great location, size, and pretty good pizza in a poorly ran business. My family will still call and order pizza from here, but it is sad to see such a great opportunity for this place to thrive and they don’t take advantage of it at all.

A place offering legitimate vegan pizza(read as also: with soy cheese! Squee!) within a reasonable driving distance(to get some take out nosh, that is) and for a reasonable price(a small, plain«cheese» cost less than twelve bucks)? Oh.hells.yes. Now, listen. I’ve been doing the vegan thing long enough to eat plenty of ‘za(probably far more than I should ;) sans cheese, sneaky egg washes, and the like. But sometimes a girl just wants to get up on a soy-cheese laden slice of deliciousness. Amirite? Now, some of the obvious pluses are price and location(at least for me). We also ordered at, say, six-something on a Friday night & twenty minutes later, we had a pizza in our car, ready to rumble. We went with the straight up «cheese»(which, from the looks of it, is Teese) because I wanted to see this beauty in all it’s glory before filling it to the max with veggies(next time). Here’s my quick analysis: 1. It was cut beautifully. This is a big plus in my book. 2. The crust was interesting in a good way. Light and flaky but with enough body to hold up all the goods. 3. The sauce was interesting in an interesting way. It was sweet, but almost had a kick to it. Jury’s out on this one. I usually gravitate more toward a simple, robust sauce but this was not bad at all… just interesting in an interesting way. 4. The«cheese»…was…well, good but it needed some help. Teese comes in round tubes and it was pretty obvious that they did the old slice-and-slap with the circles. This left some gaping sauce parts, and some areas double coated with cheese. Another gripe of mine? Cut the slices thin if you’re not going to grate them. There were a couple of bites where I actually had to deep six cheese since it was pretty much like a foot deep(okay, not really… but you catch my drift). Ultimately, while I know it’s a PIA, grating the cheese is the way to go. Or hell, switch to Daiya where it’s already shredded.(And admittedly, I’m biased there since I loves me some Daiya.) But I wasn’t impressed with the whole drop a slab here, drop a slice there, drop a slab here routine. In short: yes, I will order again and next time with veggies galore. Definitely worth checking this out if vegan pizza is your bag and you rock the southside something fierce. :) Oh, and PS — call first to make sure they’re offering vegan pizza. My husband called once a few weeks ago and they weren’t serving it that day. So to avoid any potential soy cheese disappointment when you get to Tata’s, you might want to pick up the phone first.
