Best therapy office I’ve ever been to. I see Joe Flint and he is so awesome; he is easy to talk to and is ALWAYS on time for his appointments. Highly recommend a visit if you are considering them.

This place is a joke. I came in, freaking out(work related). After an hour of talking to this guy he tells me, you should go on a vacation. Oh yes, and make sure to apologize to the staff for storming into the office. That was his advice, for his exuberant fee. I should have known that this Blue Cross Obamacare fool would be nothing more than a legal thief. Merriam is a great couples counselor. She is non-judgmental and is good at listening to both sides of a story. Every time we go she gives us practical advice to help make strides in our relationship. Highly recommend this practice.

I would not go to this business if you have a drinking, drug or other related behavioral problem. I did 4 years ago, and it was ridiculous. I chose this therapist who worked at Terry Hefter because she was available on the weekends and because it said that drug and alcohol problems were one of her specialties(along with a litany of others). Well of course i didn’t know then what i know now, but in retrospect I don’t believe this therapist(not Terry Hefter) knew anything about drug and alcohol related problems. She tried to hold me to drinking a certain amount each week, which of course didn’t work. She should have told me to get my butt to a 12 step meeting or to a rehab facility instead of trying«talk therapy». I fortunately did wind up going to rehab. Since getting clean/sober over 2.5 years ago I have heard numerous stories from people who’s therapists were educated on the only reliable treatment for Drug and Alcohol abuse. Maybe other therapists here are more honest with their specialties, but in retrospect, I feel this woman advertised herself as a specialist on something she maybe took a one weekend course on.

I can’t say anything about the others at this center, but Erika is the best counselor I’ve met. She’s down-to-earth and non-judgmental. You can feel comfortable talking through issues big and small without the least bit of patronization or lack of attention. She works WITH you to make REALISTIC goals for yourself, encouraging you to go at your own pace so you’ll actually stick with your plan rather than feel overwhelmed. She’s makes you feel safe but also pokes you to make the changes in your life that you know you want/need — which is exactly what I’d want in a counselor.
