Love the fact that this place is open 24 hours. The food here is very good and very affordable. The amount of meat on the tacos is very generous. The staff is friendly and they always try to treat you like family. Recommend this place for anyone in the Dunning Area, Portage Park and surroundings.

This place was really interesting… First, the food. Standard chips and salsa to start that included a spicy avocado. It was 8am on a Sunday so naturally I had the basic chorizo and eggs. Fairly flavorful rice, but the chorizo was meh. It wasn’t as greasy as V&V Supremo brand, but it lacked flavor. I’m not sure if it was homemade or a grocery store brand, but it just didn’t satisfy my post-Halloween hangover. Which brings me to my next comment. We were the only ones eating but almost all the tables were full. Everyone else was either still drunk — I’m not even sure if they ate. If you ever imagined being in the Mos Eisley cantina, I can tell you from my experience here, it’s terrifying and exciting. There were a couple guys who were not together and on the verge of fighting the last 10 minutes of our stay. A full coffee mug was sacrificed to save our skins. We only ate there since they were open early on a Sunday near Portage Park… I’m imagining they could do a decent lunch takeout order, but I had all the adventure I needed from eating in one morning.

This is another 24⁄7 neighborhood Mexican joint here in the city. I’m glad that it’s a ten(10)-minute walking distance from my house. Yes, «wall-in-the-hole» is exactly what Thaly’s taqueria is, but it wasn’t a shabby place to meet up a friend that you haven’t seen for almost ten(10) years! Everything from complimentary salsa/chips, chilaquiles con huevos, to the pozole was quite decent for a place that never closes. Did I have better elsewhere? I would say absolutely. However, let’s be realistic. When Rosa J. is hungry, she immediately becomes incapacitated, both mentally and physically. «Yelping» for a top-notch restaurant that may require a significant travel time(on public transportation especially) isn’t going to be a practical solution to dealing with her great hunger. Therefore, she has found a reliable joint on the southwest corner of Austin and Belmont. For two(2) bowls of pozole, one(1) large horchata, one(1) small horchata, one(1) large agua de tamarindo, an order of chilaquiles con huevos, and one(1) tripe taco, the total was $ 36. Just like every other Mexican restaurant, we all left with«Full,» with a capital«F,» stomaches. They do accept most major credit cards, so there’s no need to locate an ATM.

Best taco place for me! Idk if it is 24⁄7 but I have been to this place every hour of the day almost and they are always open! Love eating here!

Salsas were excellent(one a lightly smoky rojas with good-sized tomato chunks, the other a creamy verde), al pastor was pretty good(no spit in sight though), carne asada was very light on seasoning/flavor. I’d give the food 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 stars for being very good value for the money.

They have awesome homemade salsas and their veggie tortas are really good. Truly a place that’s not cheap with ingredients. Orale!
