It was one of the most memorable experience I had at the Water Tower Place in Chicago. The art gallery is very unique, displaying artwork based on the works by Dr. Seuss. The staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming. The artwork are, however, expensive. I do recommend just walking around the art gallery to get the opportunity to feel nostalgic about Dr. Seuss.

Whimsical little art gallery in the middle of The Water Tower Place. The associate on the floor was friendly, said hello, if we needed any assistance to just let him know, and did not hover while I walked around. The front of the gallery had the safe children’s story book artwork. Different variety in size of print, sculpture, and possibly oil/paint canvas. As you walk towards the back of the gallery, there are works of art that contains mild female(human) nudity. Under each piece, there are prices and notation if the artwork is a rate piece or not. I read a review that someone spent 45 minutes in here, but it isn’t a large place(roughly 10×10) and it’s not stacked with pieces. I think I was in and out in 5 minutes. It is an interesting little shop in the middle of a shopping mall. It is definitely different, but as a regular Jane, it is out of my price range. I walked in thinking I could pick up a print to put on my wall, but alas, it was just a tease.

A very unique experience. We walked around the store and saw lovely art from the books and sculptures based on the characters and stories. There were also pieces based on famous works in the Dr. Seuss style. An interesting little nook at Water Tower Place!

What a pleasant surprise in Water Tower place. All original prints, no other artists involved. While the artist is from Springfield MA his publisher is from Chicago. Free tours with a knowledgeable staff. Learned more from staff than I ever knew about Dr Seuss. Great way to bring back some memories and nice for gifts and collectables.

The best! I repeat… the best 45 minutes I’ve ever spent in a shopping mall, and it didn’t involve shopping. If you didn’t know, there’s a permanent Dr. Seuss Gallery at Water Tower Place in Chicago and it’s beyond fabulously amazing! Lucky for me, it’s a permanent gallery so I can come back more than once. Note: It’s around the corner from the Lego store, so if you have kids and they don’t want to go in with you, just dump them in there and head over(of course my hubby kept a close eye on them while I lost myself in Dr. Seuss art). I walked into the gallery and immediately noticed the brightly colored alphabet prints on the wall. Then I noticed some classic art from his books. Yes, most of everything here is an original and some are limited editions. The seal is proudly displayed on many of his prints. All sorts of price points. From $ 29 to several thousand. Cute small prints with a seal of authenticity from around $ 225. And, the traveling hat collection of Seuss’s is proudly on display. His complete collection makes up 500+, and the hats are on tour all over the country right now. Yes, I saw the original Cat In The Hat hat. Red and white stripes proudly displayed there. Jamieson, the curator at the gallery was fascinating and so knowledgeable about all the pieces. He told me stories about Seuss that I never knew about, and we discussed our favorite books. Most interesting to me is the fact I always thought about Dr. Seuss as a children’s book artist, but here they have plenty of grown-up themed art pieces on display. I was also told that they have special openings throughout the year and continue to add to the collection all the time. Run don’t walk here. So completely worth every second of your time!

Truly amazing and unique. A high end store of Theodore«Dr. Seuss» Giesel’s art work. He was an avid artist in addition to his amazing children’s books. The lowest price art work I saw was $ 20 for an individual letter up to $ 10k for a sculpture. I wanted to get the Sam I Am print for my son, but at $ 325 it was out of my price range.
