This is currently my favorite corned beef sandwich in Chicago. The bf and I split a reuben and an order of honey puffs. Their corned beef is sliced nice and thin and is not too heavy, salty or greasy. The rye bread is good, the homemade chips are great, the pickles are huge and crunchy and the honey puffs are yummy. This was the perfect amount of food for lunch if you don’t want to feel stuffed, however, if someone has a large appetite, you are better off sticking to one whole sandwich per person. A few cons: parking is difficult, seating is extremely limited(a few spots inside to stand and eat or sit outside at their communal table if the weather is good), open only until 3pm.

The meats here are so delicious! Very tender and juicy. I sampled the pastrami and corned beef and ended up getting the corned beef. The pastrami’s flavor will knock you on your but, and the sandwiches have so much meat in them that I thought it would be a little too intense. The rye bread is great and the deli mustard and cheese add complexity. I got a side of sauerkraut because I like Reuben’s, but not the sauce. The sandwich was $ 12 and came with freshly fried thinly sliced chips and a pickle. I couldn’t finish mine in one sitting. A great place for this neighborhood.

Presentation, excellent. Corned beef sandwich, ehh. Corned beef wasn’t favorful but not terrible. Service was on point. Very friendly and fast paced environment. But as far as the food, I probably will not be back. Sorry, I so wanted you to have good food. Nice looking place of business though.

You can tell the owner takes pride in his business and treats his employees well because it realy comes out in the service they deliver. Best sandwiches in the city and part of the reason I love living in the West Loop!

This was my last stop before heading back to the airport. I’m so glad I decided to try this place. Probably one of the best things that I had to eat while I was visiting Chicago. I had the Tom & Jerry Combo. Generous amounts of corned beef & pastrami, swiss cheese, spicy mustard with a side of pickle and homemade potato chips all nicely packed into a box. You can’t go wrong. Definitely check this place out!

Once again me and my wife we’re out about looking for something good to eat. We’ve been both wanting a Rueben. And BAM! We come across The Cornedbeef Factory. The service was absolutely great ! We ordered The Tom & Jerry(Cornbeef and Pastrami) & A Rueben of course. Now the Tom & Jerry is a new found go to sandwich! I loved it. Loads of meat and just the right amount of yellow mustard! Perfect!!! The Rueben however was decent. I think instead of using a Panini grill they should use a flat grill. JMO. Both sandwiches came with freshly made potato chips cooked in peanut oil. And Kosher Dill pickle spears. They were really good! I forgot to ask if they were homemade. We asked for extra pickle. They forgot to add it to our order. But they have us 3 extra when we told them. Please visit for a Great Sandwich!!! #AwsomeSauce!

«I believe that if you don’t want to do anything, then sit there and don’t do it, but don’t expect people to hand you a corned beef sandwich and wash your socks for you and unzip your fly for you.» — Shel Silverstein Cute little shop on Lake Street located in the Meat District.(well there’s a swell idea) Some street parking available, but I parked a few blocks away and put on my flashers for 15 minutes. Great for take out on a rainy day. Upon entering, I notice the friendly order taker, and notes its cash only. There’s a simple menu on the wall posted and sandwiches are in the $ 11 and up range. She proceeds to take my order and writes my name and order on a cute looking price tag(deli style, how appropriate), guides me down to the cashier, which I am charged $ 13. There are a couple of patrons ahead of me, and I watch the orderly assembly line. The workers are geared up in their butcher brigade, and they put together some«nice» sandwiches. My grandmother always asked me growing up if I’d like a nice sandwich for lunch. Nostalgia feels(insert warm and fuzzies). While I’m waiting I peek inside the meat curtains and notice some heavy duty slicer machinery. I get a little Tim the Toolman Taylor(eyes widen and grunts cavewoman style) when I see big fancy new kitchen equipment(it’s a chef thing). Here comes my boxed lunch presented in twine like a gift, and my name tag attached to it. Nothing like a sandwich with my name written all over it. Touchè. Reuben — soft-ish thin enough sliced rye bread grill pressed, thin spread of Russian dressing and sauerkraut,(wished there were more of the toppings), a couple slices of Swiss and a big manly hunk of corned beef, with no fat! The corned beef is sliced very thin and it is very tasty. I also like the kosher style corned beef thick slices, but this is not Katz’s or Canter’s or Eleven City. Pickle spear on the side, good enough. Cutesy branded bag with largely sliced potato chips, lightly salted to accompany my boxed lunch. Overall, I would come back for sure. $ 13 for a meatwich(no skimping on the beef here) with a pickle and chips. My only advice, ask for more of the accompaniments if you like kraut and dressing.

Really good Ruben! Not too salty like some other places but good flavor. The Ruben was much better than the corned beef sandwich, just full of flavor. It’s cash only and the only place to sit is outside. They also had some cool pop flavors like cinnamon vanilla and even cucumber. Warning for people with peanut allergies — their chips are fried in peanut oil. Great service !

It’s a tough decision between CBF and Jubilee Juice’s corned beef sandwich. I know you think I’m crazy comparing it to a restaurant that’s known for making juices but I have to tell ya, I prefer Jubilee’s corned beef sandwich over CBF. The reason being is personal preference in the amount of meat that’s put into the sandwich, the fat content ration in the meat, and the pricing. All of which I believe Jubilee Juice takes the lead. However, CBF is a must try! Hefty portions and crispy crunchy chips! I give CBF props for opening up a place dedicated primarily to corned beef sandwiches bc/finally someone is paying tribute in the Midwest to an east coast delicacy! Cool storefront!

Service is top notch here. Had the nicest woman working when I visited on 3⁄18. She was so cool and a total blast to talk to. I went the opposite route and got the Italian Beef — It was so, SO good. Like others have said, even though I ordered it dipped it wasn’t a soggy mess. Food was amazing, service even better — I’ll be back! :)

It was good. Loads of corned beef. Toasted Rye. I did the Ruben so I had Swiss, kraut, and thousand island dressing. Chips were thin and crispy and the pickle tasted like it was almost done but still had a little hint of his life as a cucumber. But I still liked it. There was maybe a table spoon of kraut on the sandwich which really bummed me out. The kraut is one of my favorite parts that more than half the bites I took didn’t have any in it. I’ve had better. But the corned beef was great. I’m obviously very middle of the road on this place. Parking blowssssssssss. CASHONLY! But they have an atm on the side.

No frills. No seats. Just great corned beef and pastrami. Good ho, emade chips. And those honey puffs are divine. Very friendly counter service. A great take-out sandwich place. Your sandwich goes into a cute little box with a tag.

Simple, no nonsense, delicious lunch. My coworkers and I carried out last Friday from the corned beef factory and it was quite delicious. The shop is small and offers the basics: corned beef, pastrami, Italian beef, hot dogs, and maybe one other thing that escapes my memory at the moment. Regardless, the menu is tiny, but personally I think that helps add to its allure. I went with the Ruben sandwhich. It was everything you hope a Ruben would be. A hearty helping of corned beef, tangy thousand island dressing, LOTS of Swiss, and kraut to boot. I.ate.the.entire.thing. No joke… not a bit of sandwhich remained. That thing didn’t stand a chance. Also, you get a generous portion of their homemade chips and a pickle… all for $ 11. The corned beef factory is a sure bet for a fast and tasty lunch in the west loop. Just remember to bring cash… no credit cards accepted:)

Went here for lunch recently and it did not disappoint. They’ve got a few different sandwiches that you can choose from. I came in the door planning on getting corned beef, but when I saw pastrami on the menu I had to audible. I went with their Tom and Jerry combo of both, add cheese and kraut for an on the fly Rueben. My buddy got a beef, which he raved about. The sandwiches are served with chips and a solid pickle slice. They wrap up the sandwiches to go in little boxes with twine like a birthday present. My combo was really good, though I must have miscommunicated and it was cold. Not a big deal. I loved it and smothered it with some of the killer Drier’s mustard I had in my fridge. Pro tip-scrap the dressing and go with a spicy mustard on a Rueben. The pastrami was the star of the show, peppery and garlicky. I’ll surely get that on my next visit. All said, we were happy with our lunch at the Corned Beef Factory. They also have to go hunks of meat and are CASHONLY.

Damn Gina This place is good! I’m a lover of a meaty Reuben sandwich every once in awhile and this place doesn’t disappoint. The Reuben was a massive amount of meat, a decent slab of sauce, cheese and kraut. YUM! Chips were good & pickle garlicky… just they way I like them! It’s s no frills place and definitely take away. Which I like because I can gorge myself in the comfort of my own home and not feel guilty about it :)

This place hits all the right notes… it looks right, the packaging is perfect, the location is just urban enough to lend it an authentic edge but is still very easy to get to and close to lots of other stuff. But what about the food? I’d say it is the best corn beef in Chicago… now before you get too excited there is very little competuition here, it is not NY after all. Nonetheless it is a great sandwich served with what look like house made chips and a pickle. You can choose between corned beef or pastrami and they also offer an Italian Beef(if I recall properly) but I have not had that. I have tried both the pastrami and the corned beef several times and they are both great. You can also get a half and half. Its a fantastic place to swing by late morning, grab a sandwich is eat later for lunch. Fiar warning: there will be lines if you go at peak hours and they close at 3;00 so it is a lunch only spot. I love the guys in butcher outfits behind the counter and the overall feel of the place, it is just very legit all around.

Have you thought of the last meal you want to have on earth? Filet mignon, fatty tuna, shrimp & grits, Swiss mushroom burger, Chicago-style hot dog… is any of these on your list? May I suggest the corned beef sandwich from«The Corned Beef Factory?» It’s a cash-only establishment, so cut your plastic off before leaving the world for good. The Corned Beef Factory Sandwich Shop is located on the southwest corner of Morgan and Lake. Taking the public transportation is beyond convenient(CTA Morgan Green/Pink Line station). While this place is a popular choice for corporation lunch, the boss lady ensured that Rosa J.‘s and Daddy J.‘s orders were fulfilled immediately. Well, we really didn’t mind waiting because they rendered great customer service to each and every patron who walked in. An order of corned beef sandwich combo came with homemade chips, a pickle, and a brown paper box secured with the boy-scout knot. This carryout box was very Eco-friendly. This literally was a Sammie present; it was spill-free, fashionable-looking, and recyclable. For $ 22 and some change, Daddy J. and I had a plenty to eat, with fountain pops to keep us hydrated. The corned beef sandwich here was quite tasty, but I preferred the corned beef and the pickle at Kaufman’s in Skokie, just a little bit. Nevertheless, I wanted give a huge shout-out to the CBF for their awesome, crispy, and delicious homemade chips! Please make them available for purchase. They do have a nice patio for patrons who choose to «dine-in.» I saw lots of people park on Lake, have their flashers on, and pick up their sandwiches and quickly leave the scene before their vehicles got towed. I’ve now found a weekday lunch spot, if I can ever make it between 0600 hour to 1500 hour, Monday through Friday.

Best Italian beef sandwich I’ve had in Chicago. Got mine dipped and it was not gross and greasy like Al’s. Corned beef sandwich was great. HUGE portion. The meat is very high quality. Warm and super thinly sliced. Not a fan of the bread because I do not like fennel. I would order it with french bread next time(personal taste).

What a cool place! Possibly the best Reuben I’ve ever had! This is a bare bones place where you walk in and order from a menu of about 4 options. They are slicing corned beef fresh constantly, and they have a potato chip maker constantly pumping out fresh chips. Keep in mind: 1 cash only 2 very limited seating(outside only) Food comes in a box with hand tied twine around it. Very nice presentation. I would highly recommend this place n

My good friend has been raving about this place for a little while now so we decided to hop on the Green Line from State & Lake to Morgan(right off of the stop actually) to see whats up here. First thing I noticed was that it is cash only and luckily one of my buds had cash as I would have been assed out. I chose the Reuben over the pastrami sandwich(close choice) and it was very good… there is a huge meat distribution going o here. LOL Its a very nice size and they give you a packaging(see pics) to take out in case you are ordering to go or if you could not finish the job. Sandwiches come with chips and a pickle on the side. There is a small standing space on the side wall if you want to eat inside. You can also buy corned beef brisket here FYI
