My friend hosted her b-day drinks session there, and it was pretty good. Nice space, with decent drink specials. Low lighting make it a nice place for a date– it’s a very flattering amount of light, especially when drinking. You look twice as romantic twiddling your straw and coyly smiling. Decent amount of seating, although some of it seems like it’s in a weird arrangement. I felt like only a few of us were standing, which was good since it wasn’t packed, but since one end was a couch, 5 of us had to sit in a line and it was difficult to talk. Maybe it’s because I’m not in the neighborhood, but the location felt a little random. It was easy to reach by bus from elsewhere though. Also, I dig the floating shelves just hanging out. I especially love the tv inside the floating shelf. Look at you guys being super clever. I like it. Nice bartenders.

I celebrated my birthday at the Double in June. Henry is such a great guy, he let me bring my own food and prepared drinks to pair them with the type of food I had. My friends and I had a great time! If you’re in a gluten free diet, you know how difficult is to go to bars and find gluten free beer. I(most have ciders or one gluten free beer) The Double has more than one gluten free option: D I love it! Bartenders are super nice and polite. My favorite drink, eviation.

Overpriced drinks, $ 9 for a cocktail, wow. And then 80% of the music was pretty ghetto.

This is my neighborhood bar and it’s pretty dope. Matt and Parker(the bartenders) remembered my birthday and Henry(the owner) is always amicable. I’m a college student so my funds are limited but if I have a few dollars to spend on a drink and a tip, I never regret spending it here!

Halfway between a neighborhood bar and a cool kid spot, the double is reasonably priced, nice taps and laid back without the crappiness of a dive. They always have a great playlist of indie hip hop, elcetro etc. A quality establishment in a low key spot.

A cool corner bar with laid back atmosphere was worth the stop on our pub crawl of Wicker Park/Logan Square.

This bar is within stumbling distance(my favorite type of distance). Local Chicago beers on tap which are reasonably priced. I’m a vodka drinker, and I’m impressed by their selection of top shelf. They have Belvedere AND Death’s Door. Most go-to vodkas at bars are Grey Goose and Ketel One. The bartenders are friendly and even remembered my name after only one visit! The clientele are friendly and talkative and mostly people who live in the neighborhood. There is a juke box, but you don’t need one seeing as the bartender’s have good playlists(AKA not top 40 or anything you’d hear on the radio). I wish there were pool tables and karaōke, but you can’t have everything. They do take cards, but there’s a $ 10 minimum. They don’t have food, but they’ll gladly let you bring your own.

A straightforward neighborhood bar, no pool, no games, just drinks and a nice, relaxing atmosphere. The highlight are the«spirited beers» — a great selection, with Rye Ask Rye being my favorite. Bartenders are superb and talkative, good playlist if you went to college in the late 00’s.

I don’t know why this place comes up as a restaurant, it is not and they don’t serve food. Also, it comes up as dog friendly and it is not. Get your info straight, you waste my time searching for local restaurants.

My favorite place in Logan Square. It used to by one of my closest bars. Recently moved but I owe them adequate review. Perfect combination of hight quality service, beers, music with laid back atmospheres. My wife loves their cocktails. She always ask for something sweet and bartender never disappoints. Music… many times used SoundHound app to find the song they played. Prefect.

If you’re looking for a great corner bar ambience, this is where you’ll find it. They have Gum Ball Head and zombie dust on tap and the prices are reasonable.

Great neighborhood place. They always have an excellent offering of drafts available and they feature a different beer everyday, usually for $ 4. The music selection is diverse but well composed and there are just the right amount of flat screens. If your in the area it’s more than worth your time to come in for a pint and pet the pooch.

Love this place. Henry and Matt are so friendly and kind, and I love when Henry brings his dog! My friends and I have had many fun nights here together. The location is awesome, as our apartment is a 5 minute walk from here. I took 1 star off because why is it so dark? Unless you’re sitting at the bar or one of the tables behind it you can’t even see your hand in front of your face. It kind of feels like drinking in a cave… Which might be appealing to some people but I’m a crotchety old lady about it.

The Double has instantly become my new favorite spot. Great atmosphere, nice crowd, awesome drinks(you MUST have a purple moon). Did I mention Leroy is my new bestie – the sweetest pup you will meet. Also, there is a lot to be said about the décor and the atmosphere. Ambiance is very well maintained(yes, even with the televisions). Ample space and seating to come for an intimate date or with a group of friends. Warm chocolate tones, wood throughout, and the antiqued brass(I’m guessing?) ceiling all contribute to the very comfortable feel of The Double. Finally, great variety of music played via iPod, Laptop… There is something for everyone. Must visit if you’re in Logan Square.

Seems like Logan Square is getting all the good spots now! A buddy of mine decided to have a bday celebration here on a semi frosty Saturday nite. I walked in to some nice hip hop joints which At first I didn’t think it went with the nice, dim and intimate interior. I was wrong as they were playing some smooth joints from Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Gang Starr, A Tribe Called Quest, etc… The beer list is awesome and they even have La Fin Du Monde on tap which you dont see all the time. The peeps that work behind the bar are awesome and know their stuff when it comes to beer. They also have a dog that hangs behind the bar which I think belongs to the owner. Definitely a great spot to check out when dwelling in the square. I ate before I got there so I wasn’t hungry, but the wings smelled really good. FYI… they do not accept credit/debit cards, so bring cash if you do not want to be charged $ 3.00 by the in house ATM and whatever fee by your bank

If you don’t love a bar that has an awesome house pooch then you’re either A) Allergic or B) A terrible human being. I’m gonna go ahead and claim that The Double might have one the best damn bar dogs in the entire city. He’s some sort of pure bred mastiff and has the perfect personality to roam around the bar as if he were a paid employee. His owner(who also owns the bar) is equally personable and the pair completely make this place what it is… A friendly neighborhood watering hole. I don’t exactly recall the drink selection, and can’t really say that there was much else that stood out, but when you remember the bartender saying«If you get one come back and we’ll talk pups» you know you’re in the right spot.
