SCAM! I bought a coupon from KGB deals for this fraudulent company.
They rescheduled my appointment then never answered my emails or calls again.
Of course, they didn’t show.
Everyone should a file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, here is their info:

This may be the worst business I’ve dealt with in a LONG time. I also wish I could give them zero stars. I tried to schedule with them through their website and by phone. It states on their site that all messages will be returned within a 48 hour period. Um, try 2 ½ weeks! After I FINALLY got an appointment, I, unfortunately had to reschedule it due to a work conflict. Same thing. I called and called, e-​mailed and e-​mailed and after 5 days of trying, I got a very curt, b*tchy gal on the phone who droned on about how they’re very busy and she doesn’t know when I would be contacted back about rescheduling. They may have done a lot of people favors by running these specials. Now a mass amount of people know how unreliable and unprofessional this mess of a business is.
I was looking for a regular cleaning service for my condo and I have no doubt that if they can’t return a phone call, they probably are unreliable and substandard elsewhere in their business.

Ditto a lot of other people’s thoughts. Took a day off work for this, and after calling them three times to find out why the hell they hadnt shown up, the «customer service» person scolds me for calling repeatedly! Wow!
I asked KGB deals for a refund. Lets see if I ever see the money.

TERRIBLE experience with the homework crew. I was sent an informal e-​mail via bbm by someone named Selena saying «NO ONE WILL BE AT YOUR HOUSE TOMORROW» need to reschedule just at 8 pm, when they were supposed to come clean my apartment the next day at 9 am!
How inapporpriate is that?! Worst costumer sevice ever, if you can even call it that.
I received another e-​mail from Maureen, a customer care manager, and she said she would need to re-​schedule me for next week. I need to have this apartment cleaned and turned in a week before that! I called Maureen multiple times and left messages and e-​mails and was never called back. I hope I get my money back.
Next time I’ll make sure to read reviews on Unilocal before I purchase any kind of coupon deal.

This review is based on NYC, but they don’t have a Unilocal listing there so I swore I’d review them everywhere else.
They ran a «Buy With Me» voucher program, which they then rescinded b/​c they couldn’t handle the numbers. Since I had already scheduled, however, I was told they’d still honor the voucher. I scheduled a cleaning for my apartment before my sister came into town b/​c she’s allergic to cats (I have 2).
NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP! I kept calling and the number I was given (the «operations department») went straight to a voicemail that had a full inbox, so I couldn’t even leave a message. Everyone at the appointments number said they’d «personally look into it,» but no one ever called me back. I filed a formal complaint online. Meanwhile I spent the ENTIRE AFTERNOON waiting at home when I had planned to let them in and go back to work.
The next day, I called again to figure out what happened. The guy said there was no report of the incident! But he’s personally look into it – again! Said he’s file the incident repot. Gave me the same friggin number to call — said a supervisor was waiting to answer my call. Nope, straight to voicemail. Rescheduled me for the next day, though.
So on Thursday, 3 hours before my reschedule appt, I got a call saying they had to cancel b/​c «that appt time never existed to begin with.» I had a direct number to call this person back, but when I left her a message she never called me again. No one ever called me again.
How can a company no-​show, then cancel? How can they operate with no supervisors to speak with, no method of reporting incidents, no customer service contacts at all? They made no effort to make this up to me — despite the fact that I still have an un-​honored voucher! What a despicable company. DO NOT USE THEM. Do NOT buy vouchers from them on any company! Horrible, horrible, horrible.

to add to this chain, I am in L.A. and they gave me the same story about someone having died a few days ago. I guess they have cleaning people who are dying all over the country. Today, one month after they stood me up, I got an email from them saying they value my feedback and they’d be happy to reschedule for free (not clean for free, but reschedule for free they said). I emailed and told them to take me off of their mailing list. I have reported them to Dealfind and others who are offering their services.

So the homework crew showed up only one hour early and stayed for only 2 hours and 55 minutes of the three hours allotted /​promised??? In addition, they didn’t dust inside our chimney. Service these days! Clearly a one-​star. Just kidding, just like everyone else we got stood up (three times). They did not ever come over. Don’t trust 888-​numbers, should have known this was a scam.

I got suckered too. Such a shame — I bought 5 certificates and was really intent on loving them and booking them every three weeks for the rest of my life.

same as everyone else. scheduled a pre-​party cleaning and they never showed, left me in total lurch. left five messages for them — you can’t talk to anyone, just an answering service or leave futile voicemails. am requesting refund from kgb. these business owners have some VERY BAD KARMA coming their way — avoid the hassle and disappointment which is their specialty at all costs.

Looks like they have ran this scam in multiple cities and on multiple daily deal sites. We purchased a cleaning deal for this fake company off of KGB Deals. they have consistently been no-​shows and we are left with a worthless voucher that we paid for. We have stayed home waiting for these people to show twice now! Hopefully KGB refunds our money. They should actually do a lot more than just providing a refund since we wasted so much time waiting for these scammers. KGB deals needs to do a better job of vetting their suppliers.

Everything you have seen posted here is the absolute truth. They claim that you have to pay them 50.00 if you don’t cancel within 24 hours. How about when they don’t show and never call or e-​mail to cancel. I don’t know how this place stays in business and I want my $ 50.00 for a no show and not giving me 24 hour notice. Beware!

The worst experience I have had with a cleaning crew. DON’T do it. Not sure how I missed these reviews but they never showed up and I wasted my day. This is the most unprofessional company. You call and they have no way to get ahold of the maid service. It doesn’t make sense. Not sure how this company stays in business.

TERRIBLE!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME! I purchased 2 vouchers via Buy With Me. Scheduled the first cleaning via email – which was a bit suspicious to begin with. However they did email a confirmation and even a «Reminder» the day before the appointment. NO ONE SHOWED and NO ONE CALLED on the morning of the appt. I don’t even want to talk about everything I rearranged in my schedule in order to meet them at my door – only to have no one show.
I sent them a complaint email (b/​c no one ever answered their phone) and have yet to receive a reply. I also sent a complaint email to Buy With Me and they did get back to me within 24hrs. However, they only offered a week apology and a refund. You’d think they might have offered me a credit for a future purchase or at least a more effusive apology for the huge inconvenience. But since they didn’t, I don’t think I’ll be using Buy With Me any more either.

Terrible… Don’t see how this company can stay in business… Like most of the reviewers I bought a deal on KGB deals… I waited around 2x only to learn they were not coming after the window of time expired.
I was able to get a refund and will never ever recommend anyone work with them EVER…

Would give a negative star rating, if possible. I’m on the hunt for a monthly cleaning service, so I bought a cert for Homework Crew via Buy with Me a couple weeks ago. I scheduled my appointment the day I purchased the certificate and they were supposed to do 2hrs of cleaning the morning of a party I was hosting. They responded at that time and the cleaning was scheduled for that Saturday AM. A few weeks pass and the party is approaching so I emailed them the day before (Friday) to confirm and no response. No show on Saturday and no call. No email. No nothing.
Luckily my mom lives fairly close and was a great help in helping me be ready for the party on time, but I will be pursuing BuyWithMe for a refund and with a major complaint. Very disappointing.

Same experience as everyone else. Virtually impossible to get a hold of someone in order to make an appointment but when I finally was able to, I left work early in order to get to my appt on time, but of course, nobody showed up, no phone call, no nothing… even after receiving a confirmation call and email the day before! I bought two vouchers through DealFind and am hoping I can get a refund. Everyone should stay away from the Homework Crew!

Worst experience ever! Completely agree with the the other posts. Scheduled 3 appointments and they never showed or called. They have horrible customer service and do not communicate at all. Basically, they take you money and run. Such a scam and disgrace. Not sure how this company is still in business. STAY FAR AWAY from this fraud.

Allow me to pile on. I actually added them to Unilocal last week since I was assuming I’d be ripping them a new one at some point. Unfortunate to see that they’re doing it to everyone. I’m requesting a refund, and everyone else should as well.
I bought the BuyWithMe voucher for 3 hours of cleaning. My wife’s mother and cousins were coming into town and we scheduled the cleaning for the day before. An hour before the appointment, I received an email from them canceling it. I guess they’re just assuming that everyone has email all the time, because no one ever called. Mind you, THEY have a 24 hour cancellation policy for customers or you get charged.
Since no one was answering their 888 number, I emailed them back asking to reschedule. I didn’t hear anything for the rest of the day. I finally got an email the next day rescheduling me for the 20^th (based on the rest of the reviews, they probably wouldn’t have shown up anyway). They never asked me when I wanted to reschedule, they just unilaterally gave me a date and time. Since that time didn’t work for us, I rescheduled it for today at 11 (the 21^st).
I asked the customer service rep if there was anyone I could talk to or email about this. She gave me the general «info» email address from their website. I emailed them about the issues I’d had and requested that they call me back about it before the appointment, since i was going to give them a chance to at least apologize or upgrade the service. That was 5 days ago, and I’ve sent them 2 additional emails asking for a response. Nothing but radio silence.
Good thing there’s no character limit on Unilocal,cause they still weren’t done screwing up. So a 2 person crew actually show up today at 11 and tell my wife they’re only there for 1.5 hours since they have another appointment right after us. Since they only have 1.5 hours, they’re only cleaning the upstairs. The voucher is for 3 hours (which is what I told the service rep when I scheduled), and it says that it can’t be split. We showed them the voucher, and they say that it’s only good for a one person crew for 3 hours. No, it doesn’t say that on it anywhere. It turns out that The Homework Crew got so many responses to this that they can’t handle all the requests and they’re hiring other crews to do the jobs.
Couple problems with that…1. They’re apparently not telling them anything about the vouchers, because the crew that’s there has never even heard of The Homework Crew. They’re with a company called ESK Cleaners, who charges $ 25 per crew member/​hr. Makes sense, but The Homework Crew should be picking up whatever the difference is, and explaining to ESK what’s going on. 2. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I would prefer to at least know the name of the cleaning company that’s in my house. The Homework Crew is licensed and bonded (or at least it says so on their web site, but after this, I have my doubts), and I don’t know the first thing about ESK.
Anyway, I’m asking for a refund. There’s about 1000 cleaning companies in Chicago, no one is going to miss this one.

In short: never showed up, never got a call.
I wish there was an option to give no stars. I got a deal for them through kgbdeals and was super pumped to be able to have my new home cleaned before I moved in. There wasn’t a lot to be done so I figured they’d be in and out well under the 3 hours I purchased.
When I scheduled my appointment, they gave a 2 hour arrival window (3 – 5 PM), which was annoying, but no biggie. So, I head up to my new home to ensure I’d be there when they got there. I get there at 3… and then 4 rolls around… and then 5. I call them (which by the way, they gave kgbdeals the wrong phone number so I had to look it up), get their automated message/​music which is just an incredibly offensive waste of 7 minutes of my life which then put me through to a voicemail box that was full.
So I spent 2 hours waiting around the night before the biggest move of my life when I could have been cleaning myself, or, packing up stuff at my old place!
If you have purchased a deal for them, just go ahead and ask for a refund. I wouldn’t want people like this in my home EVER.
You get what you pay for, people. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a Groupon/​BuyWithMe/​kgb deal.

Never showed up, never called, never emailed. Should have looked at the other reviews before I bought. Luckily, I got a deal through kbg deals who will issue a refund.
