Soo sad… I booked a room down the street for an overnight road trip for our anniversary(last minute chance to get away)…My honey loves pool tournaments found this place on line!!! So excited to get away go have some adult fun! They stated open 6 am to 4 am… Well I thought maybe 6 am was a misprint… so I started calling all day at noon 2 and 4 etc… no answer… figured it was so busy they could not get to phone… So got showered and ready to go for pool tourney every Sunday at 8 pm practice to start at 7… called in route finally got an answer… They open at 7 pm… and when I asked if they had a pool tournament… the sweet girl on the other end of the phone said I wish!!! very sad… but got over it went to Casino and won instead!!! Classic dive late night bar. They have pool which is great but sometimes there are some creeps. Have def had late night pizza there and thought it was pretty decent for a non food bar.

3 top class Pool Tables and shooters(literally and figuratively). open til 4am M-F is nice, what is nicer is that on Saturday it is open til 5am. The HomeRun pizza is a classic which hasn’t faded, like yo Jeans.

Family owned and it shows! These guys know how to run a 4 am bar. Nothing much happens until 2, but it’s a nice place to have a few reasonably priced drinks anytime.

After 2 am, a frozen pizza really hits the spot, and let’s get real, you’re not coming here after 2 am for the food anyways. The deuce is the best dive bar in the area, with the strangest mix of people — NU ugrads, grads, and locals alike mix and mingle over intellectual conversations and classy cocktails like PBR and fireball.

Best bar in Rogers Park! The staff is awesome, the vibes are even better. I always love stopping by The Mark, never disappointed. Plus, they have pizza!!! What more can you ask for?

Nice bar. Not fancy or over the top. Decently priced drinks with a formerly bartender. TV’s show local sports. Pool tables, dartboards and live music over the weekend. Bartender friendly and daily $ 3 beer specials. Drinks in general aren’t that much. A vodka and coke is about $ 7. So I a shot of Jim Beam. Nice spot to hang out in the area of you don’t want to spend too much.

When done right and after a few pitchers of beer, a frozen pizza cooked properly can really, really hit the spot. The Mark II, aka«The Deuce», cooks up a mean frozen pizza along with slinging many great varieties of beer, cocktails and fun. Open late since 1958, The Deuce is open everyday until 4 a.m. A perfect place for a night cap. And they even offer late night munchies by means of their great frozen pizzas. Each pizza is cooked with love and garlic powder in their mini pizza oven at the bar. You might think how can a frozen pizza be so good? After a few dozen beers, anything sounds good and this pizza does not disappoint. There is more to The Deuce than just beer and pizza. They have a bunch of TV’s, Big Screen Projector, 5 Dart Boards, Pool Tables, Foosball and Golden Tee. And bands and DJs play on the weekends. The atmosphere is divey with a classic old school charm. The clientele usually consists of Northwestern, Kellogg and Loyola students, but generally there is quite a mixed crowd there. The bartenders and staff are great and will strike up a conversation with anyone who is willing to listen. The Mark II is a classic bar with great drinks, delicious pizza and good times. Whether you are looking for a late night drink, a great frozen pizza or to shoot some pool with some friends, The Deuce will do you right. Open late since 58′, The Deuce is a bar we can appreciate!

Talk about aweful. Rude door staff… very poor service at the bar. When I finally got my shot I can assure you it was not authentic! Fake booze, bad service, all around bad times!

Um… this is the place to be at 3AM in rogers park because nothing else is open and you won’t get shot here, and you wont get sick because the IHOP down the block is closed. There is a sign that says MAXIM Magazine has declared that this place is one of chicago’s best kept secrets… The last time this place was happening was back in 98 when the nextel two way phone was all the rage… I wonder what happened to the pac man machine they had back in the day. Holy Shit they have darts… that excites me in ways I cannot describe legally :) One of these I will go back… thats if I can find where my nextel is

After years of driving by this place, I finally walked in. At 3:30 am on a Saturday night. I was happy to discover it stays open till 5 am on Sat. If you get hungry, you can order food at the bar. It will be prepared at the owner’s restaurant across the street and brought over. I didn’t have any food, but the restaurant, Mullins, has been around a long time, so it must not suck too bad. Darts, a couple pool tables, TVs, a couple arcade games in the corner — its your typical neighborhood bar. The attentive, professional and playful waitstaff and eclectic fun loving crowd made this place special.

I know I’m just repeating myself but I made a visit to the Mark 2 again last night and had such a great time that I had to write and let everyone know. What a blast! Again the service was impeccable and the customers really appeared to enjoy the atmosphere. It’s a great neighborhood bar with a lot of things to attract you there. Thanks, Mark 2 for another good time.

First of all, I am extremely disappointed in the Evanston/Roger’s Park Unilocal members for giving this place a lower rating than The Keg. On here I am giving it the same rating, but let me be clear: it IS a step up, as I would have given the Keg 0 stars if possible. This place deserves a solid 1. If you are forced to come down here, make sure it’s for last call and after you’ve been drinking heavily all night(don’t drive!) The only reason I have any affection for this bar whatsoever is because if its nickname. THEDEUCE, any mention of this, for some reason, always brings a slight smile to my face. or maybe it’s a smirk.

Mark II Lounge run by the owners of Mullen’s down the street is one of my favorite places to play darts in the city. Locals affectionately call it «The Deuce» and its open til 4am on any weeknight. The owners are extremely personable and will help you get started in any dart league. The bar features five dart boards on mounted on two different walls, a pool table, and jukebox. People are extremely friendly and attracts a diverse blend of Rogers Park locals. Saturday nights are karaōke til about midnight so be aware of possible karaōke crowd. The bar also orders pizzas and gives away slices to feed your midnight drunk appetite.

The only reason to roll to the deuce is that its after hours. Today, they close at 4am, but I do remember a time when it was 5am. Free Foosball, arcade golf, one pool table avail if you can win it. Put your D. L on hold to grab a dart board for your group, about 7 boards available. Late nights can be crowded. Surprisingly so can karaōke night. They changed their servers recently, younger and cuter. If you notice many familiar faces its because alot of the people from Mullen’s come here. Same ownership. Really good people. Host an open bar party for a minimal cost. Deuce is your late night answer to, «I don’t want to go home yet» «I haven’t flirted enough.» «I need more alcohol» Its never just one age group. All kinds of people found. Food? I know you can order a full round frozen pizza. Its like, Jewel brand or Tostino’s, its $ 5 or $ 10. Plenty of monthly booze specials that are nice on your wallet.

This place got me through Northwestern. Thursday night’s at the Deuce were the highlight of my week. You can’t beat free pizza and free PBR’s. I don’t know if I would have a good time if it wasn’t packed with people I know, but this place really gets kicking on Thursday night’s. They have dart’s, a jukebox, pool, and a lounge area in the back. The neighborhood is a bit dicey, but if you’re stuck in Evanston and you want to go somewhere new give it a try. Do not park in the grocery store lot next door!!! You will get towed!
