Went to see Lizz Wright experience tonight. The interviewer, while passionate, made the ultimate mistake of thinking the show was about him. The audience was dying to hear her sing yet he kept playing her cd recordings while she was right there with a completely bored piano player right behind them with itchy fingers. My advice is to talk about the development of a song then let her sing it live. Seems easy and then the crowd leaves happy. We were there 90 minutes and the only brief moments she sang was when the interviewer stumbled and called for the wrong recording to be played. That was when the audience got Engaged. We left before any«mini concert» began. Just couldn’t handle any more. Maybe she eventually was allowed to sing, I felt like she also wanted to sing vs listen to her CDs. Nice idea but poorly produced.

The Music Experience is the best place to shop. The owner Dedry Jones is very knowledgeable about music. His recommendations are right on point. If you don’t live near the store, he’ll ship your purchase to you. Dedry’s customer’s service is excellent. If you ask his opinion about a CD, you’ll get a truthful answer. One of my favorite record stores, I never leave his store without at least a couple of CDs in my hands

I actually went to a production that the music experience was promoting. «Ledisi the Experience» was great. The owner of this brick and mortar store seems to be all about music… For Real and cares about all artist not just major label ones. I was impressed with the interview they had before the«mini concert» not so impressed that we waited outside while it was getting cold and started raining for an hour. Once we were inside we still waited another hour before the show started. In my opinion it was poorly organized however I enjoyed Ledisi because that is who I came to see.
