Kristin is great! Wonderful personality and gives a great cut.
She was working on a child when I arrived (maybe 18 months old) and was fantastic with him too.
A friend recommended Kristen to me and I will do the same!

Kristin is by far the best in both color and cuts! It is hard to find the best of both worlds! I drive all the way from Mt. Prospect in rush hour traffic on 90 just to see her. Point made.

Love this place! Not only is the place a hidden gem in the neighborhood but the owner (Kristin) is by far the best stylist I’ve been to! She knows exactly what would look good on me & she’s great at giving feedback. I would recommend friends, family and strangers to come here if you want a nice sassy do!

I actually took my friend here for her birthday gift, and by far, the best gift I have ever given! She looks amazing! She was cute before, but now, with the fabulous haircut that she got from Kristin, utter confident beauty. As from someone witnessing the cut & negotiation of hairstyle, the following words come to mind… professional, talented, funny and so worth the drive from Schaumburg!
The Parlor is quaint, relaxing, & not an ounce of pretentious vibes. I’m highly recommending this to more friends & may treat myself :)

Up until a few days ago I looked like a fat hippy with hair that only a doped up mother could love. My wife, Margot, and I discovered the Parlor Beauty Lounge while walking the hounds. I tossed Margot in to test the waters before I could commit to a trim. When she returned with a swell cut I was in for the ride.
Kristin is a wonderful hip chick who isn’t afraid to talk. Not once was there an awkward lull in the conversation. Not only was the banter witty, the cut was perfect. I walked in a bum and emerged as a sophisticated stud.
If you are in need of a follicle transformation call this lady today.

I followed Kristin to her new place as well… she always does exactly what I need. (even though sometimes I give her NO direction and just say «oh, do whatever!) I always leave in a great mood because it’s such a charming place and she is a genuinely nice person who knows what she’s doing.

I’m glad Kristin opened up her own place! It looks like I’m not the only who followed her from old salon. The only sad part is that I moved to NYC and haven’t found anyone remotely close to her. But when I do come back home, a stop with Kristin is always on my list to do.

This is a great unknown gem! I’ve had my hair done by Kristin and Jennifer, and they’re both amazing. A totally unpretentious, simple and chic little spot… totally recommend.

I’ve been getting my hair done by Kristin for years. She is great at everything from classic to edgy. The salon is so comfy and never feels pretentious. She’s super patient and is always willing to touch up anything I’m unsatisfied with. I love the fact that she doesn’t bulls**t me like other salons. She tells it like it is. She also cuts my nephew’s hair, so I know she’s great w kids.

Kristin has been cutting my hair since I moved to Chicago 4 years ago and she does an amazing job. I have never not been happy with a cut from her. The salon is so cute and a great atmosphere — they have everything you need, but it’s not too busy and crazy. I would highly recommend it!
