Okay UPS! You win in my book. This location is open till 6 o”clock on Saturday and they saved my tail on my textbook returns I have been forgetting about for weeks and racking up late fees on. I had to have my books turned in to UPS by Monday not to incur any more charges. Well in my usual fashion I kept putting it off until Saturday at 5:15 I realized I needed to get them in. Sure enough every other location was closed, but Unilocal helped me find this location that was open. I got my books in. On another super awesome note the staff was upbeat and friendly. Made my day. Never thought I’d be so happy about a UPS experience

I had an incredible experience thanks to Grant. I came into the store when he was almost off his shift with multiple questions and packages. It was hot and I’m 9 months pregnant. He was sensitive to my situation and took extra care to help me lift packages and help me in a timely manner, even though I was delaying him from getting home on time. He literally went above and beyond what I would have anticipated thanks to his knowledge and expertise. And all of it with a great attitude and professionalism. If only all of us were as dedicated to our work and responsibilities the same way. :) I’m sure grateful he was!

This store rocks, Grant and Nicole helped me with a small project /​flyers and they did a great job. Friendly and efficient. They helped me w the size and cuts and I was in and out in no time. Perfect location also.

I am not sure why this place gets such poor reviews. I am always pleasantly surprised by how awesome this UPS location is! I’ve been there more than 5 times, and each time there have been no problems. They have helped me tape out online exchanges (without paying for tape) and have even accepted USPS packages to mail out. In addition, the staff is always super friendly and helpful!

Just stopped by the UPS Store and was helped by Larry who gave exceptional customer service. After having a bad experience at the Post Office, Larry was a breath of fresh air. Thanks UPS!

I’ve been going to this location for 2+ years and I get the same, friendly service every time. The guys working have been pretty consistent, so at least the friendliness hasn’t been transient. I will continue to utilize this location and appreciate the attentiveness, speed, and help the staff here have to offer.

It used to be my go to store. But Service have gone down with this new manager with Euopean accent.
Recently, I went in to shipl something where the receiver wanted USPS priority mail. Asked the manager if he can ship priority and he said yes. So i paid and left. Three weeks later, my product is not deliver. Come to find out from postal service, he sent my out as first class with tracking.
I call the store and asked what he sent out as, he said if you have tracking then it’s priority. Wrong. You can have tracking with anything. Then he quickly cover up his mistake by saying it is priority as you paid for it. Then i asked why is the label saying standard post. He said that is the same as priority. Wrong again because postal people say it doesn’t say that. As you can see, he makes it up as he goes. Then he try to say it is my fault for not checking and signed to agree it is correct. How would i know he would print it wrong as he assure me that this was priority label? That is his job to know. I ask for the service, paid for it and expect it to be done right. He tried to argue that if you paid priority then he sent priority. That what every I asked he sent. Which was not the case.
I have reported this store to HQ. They ran a bad service and refuse to own up to the mistake and try to cover it up.

This place has been great so far. I live in the area and my building doesn’t do packages so I set up a mailbox here. They’re awesome. The reason for the lower ranking is when I signed up, my second roommate hadn’t moved in. We opened a box for 2 and were told we could upgrade when my other roommate comes. We got a 7 month deal for a bit less a month. The I find out that to upgrade would mean just buy another box flat outright. So we would go from $ 35 a month for a small box to $ 40 additional for a whole new medium box. AKA we would just ignore the one we already have with no credit because you have to pay for the whole thing upfront. Apparently the manager was new and didn’t know all he was selling, but still has been annoying. We were told we could pay $ 5 more a month to just get a third person on the account. Now they want us to do a whole new box.
Awesome service otherwise. That would have warranted 1 star were they not great at service.

Don’t use this store! They lied the price!
I need some boxes for moving, and they asked $ 18 and more for each one! I think the price was really ridiculous, because I bought the same box from other ups store before. Then i went to another ups store, the staff in there showed me a price list and the same box costs only $ 7.99!

i went to get a document notarized, and the employee was extremely nice. having said that, the store is dingy and smelled strongly of urine. i wish i could rate the service and physical store separately. even though the location is close to my office, i’ll avoid going back to this store.

I had a bad experience with the FedEx Store near my place a couple months ago, so I had to try UPS this time around. When I did, I was in and out in five minutes, if that, and the two gentlemen helping me were enthusiastic and quick. I had to ship a package to New Jersey and not only was it inexpensive but it arrived when it should have, and with no hidden taxes or fees. I recommend these guys, as I checked them out on a whim and was taken aback at how quick, efficient and friendly they were.

Be very careful using this store. My wedding gifts were shipped; one arrived, one did not. This UPS store has employees who lie and the franchise owner never returned a phone call. While I had a receipt with a tracking number, the on-​line and 800-​number could not find any record of this item being shipped.
The manager (s) were all allegedly fired. I was robbed. The new manager knew that I had ‘threatened’ to contact the Chicago police regarding this robbery. Today he suggested I go ahead and file a claim.
Don’t ever trust valuables or non-​insured items. While the employees may indeed be or have been thieves, the franchise owner herself is ultimately accountable for this type of service or there lack of.

Like any business, there are probably good days and bad days. However, I work at a university right around the corner and must rely on UPS regularly. I find the service to be right up there with the U.S. Postal Service. Additionally, UPS, has a policy whereby you can drop off unused shipping materials like bubble wrap, etc. It depends who is working up front, sometimes they will take it, other times they won’t. Unfortunately, I don’t have much of a choice unless I want to spend an hour of time traveling. C’mon, you can do better, I’m counting on your Big Brown.

today and found them to be very friendly and helpful. No complaints!

This place charges $ 10 for witnessing a signature !
According to the Illinois Notary Public Handbook «The law does not require that you charge a fee. However, the maximum fee allowed is $ 1».
I used to pay $ 1 at the UPS stores. I was in a rush today and needed the document fast. The old lady notary present in the store gave me a story about how «they had to change the price» because they run into problems.
I call it a scam and this was the last time I went there.

Has opened 15 – 20 mins late every time I’ve gone on Saturday morning.

The prices are outrageous. Charged me $ 28 to bubble wrap and box a carry on bag, then another $ 54 to ship via ground. Another $ 20 for insurance. Yes they are friendly, it’s basically like any other ups store.
Price gouging is going to prevent me from ever coming back. Brutal.

I will say the this store helps when I need to send a package via UPS. 99% of the time, I go there to return things that I bought online. But there rates for initiating shipping are quite spendy.
The employees are pretty friendly which is impressive since this place is a dump.

Can’t believe I’m Unilocal-​ing a UPS store, but I seriously love them. I’ve only used them for shipping packages. Not only are the employees really friendly and knowledgeable, but the location is extremely convenient for me. I’m here almost every week returning items that I buy online. I’m pretty much a regular and have the UPS label purchasing process down pat: 1) fill out the form, 2) make sure all previous labels on your package are covered up or ripped off, 3) place your package on the scale, and 4) pay! Taping or covering up old labels on your package is supposed to cost you $ 1, but they’re nice here and do it for free (unlike USPS — they make you BUY a whole roll of packaging tape and do it yourself!). They also have copiers and can handle sending USPS packages if you’re buying the postage there, but they will not accept USPS prepaid drop-​off packages.
Yes, it looks like the cluttered basement of a hoarder, but it’s convenient. How convenient? It is a block away from the Chicago Red Line stop, right in front of a 66 Chicago bus stop, one block from the downtown Loyola campus, and a couple blocks west of Chicago/​Michigan Ave. It is open M-​F 9 – 7 PM, Saturdays 9 – 6 PM, and even Sundays 11 – 4 PM!
