I have been a resident at the Versailles about 3yrs. The property manager Kesha is very nice & helpful. She always has a smile on her face. The maintenance tech Armando gets things done. This building has great amenities and the location is great.

My wife and I moved hear just under a year ago in April of 2013. A few days before we moved in a squirrel chewed through some wiring and totally downed the elevator — for three months! Kesha, the building manager, is pleasant and tries to be helpful Armando, he handles building maintenance, always ensures your questions are answered and things get done. This is an old building so it seems like there’s always some repair or another that needs to be completed; a minor inconvenience but the building manager does her best to keep the tenants updated and the bother to a minimum. There’s free Wi-Fi in the lobby and a makeshift«gym» in the basement(Don’t drop your gym membership just yet). Bottom line, this is an above decent area to live in within steps to just about anything you’ll need. Yes, the building is old and things do break down occasionally but for the price I don’t think you can beat it in Hyde Park.

Used to rent an apartment at The Versailles. It was a good place. Fernando the Building Engineer was very helpful.

I went to view this apartment as a prospective tenant. It was disappointingly SMALL. However, it gets 3 stars because it seems safe, and the common areas are very nice/well-kept. Also, it’s in a great location; close to restaurants, stores and buses. Despite that, if I ever become a tenant, I will meet my visitors in the lobby! There is not enough room for more than one person in the studio apartment! In fact, they only allow 1 tenant per unit… When I went to view, there was a married couple there at the same time inquiring about a rental. The wife had recently lost her job and they were financially strapped.(Complete strangers have a tendency to tell me TMI.) Anyway, the leasing officer coolly told the couple, «We only allow one tenant per unit.» The wife got upset and told the leasing lady, «You don’t have to be so rude and short with us; if you don’t your want your job, I’ll take it!», and the couple left. However, the leasing agent was extremely nice to ME… If you are broke, don’t care about impressing people, and want to be located in Hyde Park, I say go for it!

As a French student specialized in 17th century literature(the century of Louis XIV for all the normal people out there), it was a dream address… the Versailles… Turned out, I never lived in such a small and depressing place. I couldn’t even open the window in the summer because of the overwhelming frying smells coming up from Nathan’s — the fast-food around the corner. And the kitchen was really just a bit smaller than a shoe box. My boyfriend rescued me from it after 8 months. That being said the lobby was clean and well-kept, and the security was pretty good. A definite plus when you are a girl living alone. I won’t mention that the manager was a little creepy…
