Great store. Wonderful people behind the counter. They have my business forever. Very diverse offerings and great prices. Highly recommended.

Need a thing*? Need a thing* you didn’t know you wanted? Need a thing* that’s from your childhood? This is the right place. Come in for a minute and you’ll stay with Sam and Liz for hours. *toys and other vintage items

This is a humble vintage toy shoppe in Logan Square with a lot of heart. Action figures, collectibles, vintage knick-knacks, buttons, clothing, 80’s memorabilia, goofs, gags, odds/ends and gift items for any fan of pop culture. Sam and Liz are the perfect owners of this retail-version of Seth Green’s wettest dream.

This place is the best. Both myself and my 7 year old daughter love it. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It’s so much fun to see the toys from your childhood and the fake poop is top notch.

Right around the corner from my apartment, I’ve become a regular at this quirky shop. The owners are weird in the best way, Sam knows everything you could hope to learn about the toys of your childhood, and Liz will make up a story on the spot about any of the vintage items that are constantly rotating in and out of the store. I’ve bought lamps, toys, and some other weird vintagey stuff here and I’ll keep doing it because this eclectic spot is exactly up my alley. Pay with cash, this is a small business and small things like CC fees add up for them.

My fave toy store! The very best of toys, vintage stuff and, of course, the«farts» promised on the front window. Toy De Jour should appeal to both toy fans and people just looking for a fun gift with vintage fleer. For toy fans, this is the place to find ultra rare stuff — particularly a crazy good assortment of vintage G.I. Joe, Transformers, He-Man, and TMNT. For clothing shoppers, like my wife, Toy De Jour is surprisingly awesome. I would not have expected that my wife would buy a purse while I bought articulated plastic dudes. But lastly, Toy De Jour isn’t just a collector-friendly shop like various others in Chicago… This is a store that everyone can enjoy. Kids will find fun odds and ends. Young parents will find the great 80s stuff they had, and demand their kids have too. There is something here for every customer. It’s inviting, not like your usual collectors toy store cavern. This is my favorite toy store out there. The owners, Sam and Liz, are pretty cool. Well, Liz is cool. Sam is sorta«Sam.» Stop in and buy me something nice.

I really enjoyed this store. It’s a great addition to the neighborhood. They have a great selection of vintage and unique toys, along with some cute vintage clothing items. I stopped in a few times because they’re always getting new stock in. It’s a great place for collectors as well as someone who’s looking to find something unique or fun. Everything is displayed really well, unlike some stores I’ve been to that have every square inch jam packed. The owner is a really nice as well. I definitely recommend.

Finally! My kind of toys in a store in my neighborhood! The toys I grew up with and the toys of today, all in one handy place. Owners Sam and Liz sure know their stuff, and they get more stuff in all the time. Totally worth a visit… just be prepared to come home with something you always wanted, and something you never knew existed.

I walked in based on a reccomendation from a friend. First of all there is plenty of street parking which is a huge plus in the city. The area has quite a few restaurants around too so if you want to make an afternoon out of it you wont run out of options. When I walked into the store I was greeted w a smile instead of the typical looking away or too busy greetings alot of us in Chicago are used to so I knew before I left I was going to buy something. They had a great HeMan selection and they even had the specific character I was looking for(pay cash people) the price was also reasonable. I saw plenty more that I wanted and I am positive I will return. I can say w experience that alot of these types of stores have a certain level of arrogance about them which I find funny being a toy nerd myself and most of the owners are creepy. However the couple that ran the place were pleasant and helpful. If the Roboto is back when I return it was meant to be and he will be mine. Check this place out I bet you buy something. It was one trip but when you have an experience like I had you wish them nothing but success.
