Went for a group party on a Friday night. Name is Tunnel, but you go upstairs to get to it which is funny to me. Place is nice on the inside and the bartenders were hot. But that is about all there is that the place has going for it. The music was HORRIBLE and all over the place. The DJ’s were playing«let’s see what we can mix and how fast we can do it.» They would play 50 cent and get about 100 people dancing for 30 seconds and then mix it with Tiny Dancer making everyone stop. Look, just because you can mix 50 Cent and Elton John doesn’t mean you should. The DJ’s paid zero attention to the crowd and were just up there making each other laugh. Then, at 1:25 they(with 100 people plus in there still partying and drinking) they turned on the lights and a fat bouncer started screaming at everyone to get out. No last call, no warning, just… Boom ugly lights come on and get the bleep out. I had just got a drink because I thought we had another 30 minutes. Nope, get out. Wonder how much money management lost by closing 30 minutes early? I wont be back…

Watch out for the fat bouncer with a chaw in his mouth. Has no soul nor life. They also have a terrible selection of hard liquor. I tried getting a gin&tonic on tanqueray & they don’t carry it. I’d suggest going somewhere else. There’s plenty of spots in that area that will offer more.

Went to this place on accident… bartenders were unsure of all the drink prices even though we were ordering standard cocktails(vodka soda w/a splash of pineapple). The set up is odd and the dress code(if there is one) is confusing. This club is a poor man’s version of an actual high end club. Take your money somewhere else. The music was good but not good enough to make me stay there.

The door guys suck. We walked past this place because my friend was trying to meet a girl who was inside. We got there got in line which had nobody in it at that time, only for my friend to get turned down by the bounced because he was in khaki shorts and not pants. As we stood there outside the line, we watched the same bouncer allow two guys in wearing shorts after they shook hands and clearly knew each other. We went back in line and he still turned my friend down even after we told him we saw him allow two guys less than 30 seconds ago get in with shorts. His excuse, «oh I didn’t see they were in shorts.» I’m sorry, what? Your whole job description as a bouncer is to look at the people in line and what they’re wearing. He clearly knew them and allowed them in. We ended up going next door to john barleycorn which shares an upstairs with them. There’s a door guy up there charging $ 20 to get into tunnel but when he walks away from the door it’s easy to sneak in. If you have to go to the bathroom, you’re screwed because the bathrooms are located in john barleycorn and you need a wrist stamp from the front door. The«bouncer» was super surprised when I came out of tunnel with no stamp. And he has no problem telling me that I need to pay $ 20 to get back in. So we just used the bathroom and waited for him to turn his back and got back in along with the 50 other people who were watching him. After we had enough of this club we walked out the front door and passed the original bouncer who denied my friend entry. Let’s just say he wasn’t happy seeing us. If you want a review of the club, it’s dark with strobe lights and a dj that plays music. They’re all the same.

Visited tunnel again to give them another chance. Music was good, and the bouncer named«Chacho» actually made our experience a bit better. He asked us how we liked the club and conversed with us a bit which made us feel welcomed. He proceeded to get us a few drinks on his tab which really helped. If it wasnt for him we probably would have left.

The worst club that I have ever been to in Chicago by far. At the door the bouncer said they do not allow shorts. After seeing people walk out wearing shorts I approached him again and said that there were people wearing shorts and all he would say was«yep.» We spoke to someone in charge next door at Joe’s who was very nice and even personally escorted us upstairs without any cover which was about the only good thing about the night. The club inside has a very poor layout. It is square shaped with booths along the sides(ok) but then several couches take up the entire middle of the floor. There really isn’t much room to dance without being pushed every other minute. The music was not bad and mostly modern, however several songs repeated about 4 – 5 times within an hour. Although you expect it to be sweaty the place was not air conditioned well at all for a place that is supposed to be more upscale. You are much better off going to sound bar or the undergroud, really anywhere else.

What else can you ask for in a nightclub than bright lights, fast service, and gorgeous girls? This place has it all.

Love the atmosphere/ambiance of the place. DJ’s have always been on point. Killer table service program & one of the better nightclub staffs you’ll find around River North. Definitely will be back!

Went to Tunnel for my 22nd birthday and I must say I had a great time. I reserved a table bc I knew I had quite a few ppl coming and got a couple of bottles from«Chacho» for a reasonable price compared to some other high end clubs. Chacho took care of us the whole night checking in and seeing if we needed anything, he was a real down to earth guy– not pushy or snotty. Real cool guy. He gave me his card for the future. Steve smooth was playing that night so the music was excellent. The crowed was good and I got smashed. Couldn’t ask for more from a place. Top class bottle service from Chacho, top class music, top class club.

Awful. Paid out the ass for their bottle service, they didn’t let half our party in. Never was there any«service» — we saw the waitress once(when she brought the bottles 45 min after we asked her to) and THEN the cherry on top, we had to wait until every other person was out of there because they lost the IDAND credit card of the birthday girl who gave it to hold the table(which they never found) The staff are idiot coke heads. Don’t waste your time

Don’t waste your time or money coming here. My friends and I were just at Tunnel last night for an event. It was advertised as a concert which, in reality, was a 20 minute performance that didn’t start until 3 hours after we were let in. The amount of people in the general admission section was too large for such a small space. The«security» staff are poorly trained and they didn’t not know how to handle a crowd of this size. Everyone was packed in so closely that no one could get to the bar for a drink or even use the restroom. The dj was not that great either and the clientele was a very strange mix of people. It didn’t seem like anyone was having a good time.

Worst. Place. EVER! Don’t waste your time or money. I bought a ticket to a special event here and when I arrived they denied my ticket. The doormen were rude and condescending. If you’re looking for a good night club go to Rockit, underground or Parliment.

I expected a lot more from Tunnel. I reserved a table for a Friday to kick off my birthday weekend. Well, the music selection was not very diverse(about 95% techno), the atmosphere was a bit dead(seemed like my group was the most lively) which is weird for a Friday night when the weather was perfect, and it seems my guests were not asked to give a name to count towards my party which kind of made the idea of reserving a table useless. Unilocal, Tunnel was listed under the Jazz & Blues category which is a mistake neither Jazz nor Blues were played

My husband and his friends selected Tunnel to watch the May & Pac fight, which turned out to be a bad decision. The table was in an awkward position to view the television and the people seated next to them didn’t appreciate being seated next to a table with upper middle class, educated African Americans. So, they were forced to move our seat. Then when I arrived with my friend the doorman was extremely rude. Immediately, I gave him my husbands name. He told us without a ticket or stamp we can’t come in. I repeated myself with the same instructions my husband said to give him. He still refused to let us in until my husband came to the door. My husband said, «This is my wife and sister that I told you to let in when they arrive. I gave you their names.» Then he lied and said I didn’t tell him who’s table I was going to. Really? We spent over $ 1k, but never again. I’ll never go to Tunnel, Barley or Mos Cantina.

I love Tunnel! The music is always the best and the staff is the best! It’s my go to… Probably there at least 4 – 5 a month

great music, but the orientation of the furniture is questionable. I found it hard to leave the place, because either people or the couches were obstructing me! My friends ordered drinks, and they were astonished by the price. 11 dollars for a shot of fireball?

It’s not that the place is bad, I was not that impressed with Tunnel. I heard so much hype, so I was expecting something new or exciting. There are some leather couches if you want to get a table. Just a run of the mill bar/club if you ask me. I wasn’t impressed with the crowd either.

Don’t bother paying $ 20 cover to hang in a silly room. It’s really just the one room with blue neon lights and leather couch you’d fine in your attorneys office.
