I always stop by here for lunch, my favorite is the chicken quesdilla. And the chile is nice and spicy. Everythings made to order. Portions are big, staff is friendly and super fast even when busy.

This place had the worst food ever. I had a beef taco and my Bf had a beef burrito I can can tell you Taco Bell would have been better than this place. Meat was gross, tomatoes and lettuce was cut in huge chunks, cheese taste super old, I don’t know how they still in business. This place is ran young people that definitely don’t know how to serve a decent taco. Oh don’t forget about the service. Poor!

I had the chorizo burrito and I would say it was pretty good. For $ 7 I felt like I got my money’s worth. I would recommend this to place to anyone going to the Pier.

Not good. I ordered a vegetarian burrito. The beans must be reconstituted. Ewwww. Brown water was dripping from my burrito with every bite. Also, there were two slices of small, thin avocado in the burrito. Come on, it’s a vegetarian burrito, put something in it! The one star is for the lettuce. It was really crisp… but it may give me food poisoning as the kitchen does not look up to code. McDonalds may be the safest food court bet at Navy Pier.

I ordered Taco’s from there and the ladies who were preparing them did not have on food service gloves. When I asked them why they were not wearing gloves the one lady with glasses said, «It’s too hot.» I said, I believe it is a health violation if you are preparing food without gloves. The lady said«No violation. Too hot. If we wear gloves then we have to change them between each costumer.» I said exactly, so you should be wearing them. I asked her to put gloves on to make my food and she refused. I said, okay, I will report you to the health department and i’m going to take a picture of this… she then put on gloves before I could get my phone out. But she would not remake my order. I would highly suggest not eating at this place. The food didn’t taste good, the cooks are rude, and there is a health concern because they handle the food with their bare hands and do not wear hair nets while cooking.

Worst taco ever! Stale tortilla, icky meat, the tomatoes and onions are chopped in huge portions! They don’t understand that Mexican restaurants serve salsa?! Not hugely cut veggies. It was really dry! Ordered a drink and asked for a water also, but apparently«they don’t serve water».what? Worst Mexican food ever!

Ordered the steak taco salad; steak was chewy, shell was stale, and the avocado portion was so small I could barley find it under a bland blob of sour cream. The chips were over fried and they charged me 60 cents for an additional three jalapeño’s on my daughters salad. This place should not even remain on Navy Pier, it might scare tourist away!

This place is actually my preferred lunch spot at Navy Pier. I like the chorizo burrito the best. If you are wanting good flavor, chorizo is always the way to go! The prices are a bit elevated, but not by much. Maybe 50 cents more than chipotle. My only complaint is that they have no cilantro! What kind of Mexican place doesn’t use cilantro? The service is always fast and made fresh on the grill. No complaints here. 7 bucks well spent!

Everything at Twisted Lizard is almost twice the price as what it’d be at a neighborhood taquería, but the same could be said for most everything else on Navy Pier. If this isn’t your first time visiting Navy Pier, you know to expect lousy fast food. I’ve eaten here four, maybe five or so times over the years because it’s the only place that doesn’t have a long line compared to other food court places. The food isn’t all that great, and the menu is extremely simple compared to regular Mexican restaurants, but it’s tasty. The beef burrito was safe(not gristly), but the super nachos were sloppy and had a paltry amount of chips.

This has got to be the WORST burrito I have ever had. The worst salsa too and I lived in London before the English figured out how to actually make salsa worth eating. This place needs to go and be replaced. It hurts Navy Pier’s reputation. I got the veggie burrito. It tasted like water. The salsa was water. I went back and asked for hot sauce and was told I could buy jalapenos for an extra 50 cents. This is a crime. Modern American Mexican food has a deep history in Chicago. For crying out loud the FLOURTORTILLA was invented in Chicago. DONOTGOHERE. This is like having a horrible hot dog in Chicago. Navy Pier make them leave. I’d rather see Chipotle than this place and I hate chains. HORRID. I wish I could leave 20 negative stars.

Restaurant Review If I could give this a negative star, I would! This is one of the worst places to go and unfortunately it will stay in business as they are in a prime tourist location to be a trap for all other tourist. If you are reading this review at Navy Pier, STAYAWAY at all cost. I have no idea who owns this place but the food, service, and attitude are terrible. The prices are about the same as chiptole and you get 200% better everything. The employees are young high school/college students who could care less about your order. I ordered a burrito and got a puny looking meat burrito that lacked cheese and much of anything else. It was a small amount of beef, beans, lettuce, and tomato. The beef was chewy and had tendons/gristle. No flavoring at all. When I asked for water they said no water provided with the meal. WTF you need to get some cheap plastic cups and give water. Seriously wrong decision to eat here. Whoever owns this place is robbing customers of their hard earn money. Pro– None Con– TERRIBLEFOOD, TERRIBLESERVICE, no cups for water. Go and get a chiptole burrito Hidden deals– none

If there was away to stop these people from serving crappy food at navy pier I would have done so in a minute! I had a taco salad and it was the ewwwww and bland! It was all lettuce, 3 chopped tomatoes a giant bloop of sour cream and tiny pieces of chicken which were so chewy! They gave me a watered down hot sauce! Seriously do they taste or eat their own food? Please stay away!

Literally the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Horrible. You wouldn’t believe how bad a chicken burrito can be. Shame on you.

Ordered nachos & a chicken quesadilla. HORRIBLE. The few chips covered in 3 cups of cheese were soggy & useless by the time we say down. The«quesadilla» was soft, tasteless & greasy. You know my meal is bad when I have to supplement with nuggets from McDonalds… Also? They don’t sell water– bottled or tap– and when we asked, they told us to go somewhere else if we wanted it.

I’m a classy lady okay. But seriously when I’m EATING the food and feel the need to run to the nearest bathroom to kick down all the occupied doors, something is wrong. I hadn’t even finished my meal and I was already getting the bubble guts. not good. not good at all. after my return, I look over at the guys working there and they’re picking at eachothers arms with their food prep gloves on. I will never eat here again. no one should. I wouldnt even wish this on my worst enemy. and… the chips were terrible and the salsa was the worst watered down tomato mush EVER. oh boy. Makes me sick just writting this review.

hey horrible reviews… i actually loved this place! I had a chorizo burrito with extra cheese and no tomatoes. it was seriously messy but chorizo always is! since I paid for the extra cheese I wish there was more but whatever; not a huge deal. here is my rant of the day: no, this is not«authentic mexican». there is no such thing as «authentic mexican» since I know a handful of people who have lived in mexico a majority of their lives(or still do) and they say there is barely«authentic» left anywhere! if you want«authentic mexican» it won’t be fast food and it will not be at navy pier!

The worst burrito I’ve ever had. What a lump of dookie. I think because it’s at Navy Pier, they’re not too worried about reviews and therefore churn out this terrible food.

Hungry before a visit to the Children’s Museum, I was wading through the crowds at the Navy Pier food court when I saw this place and a taste for Mexican hit me hard(but, really, who was I kidding thinking I’d get it authentic here??) Anyway, I ordered a burrito and drink from the miserable-looking woman(I probably would be too if I had to deal with hungry, slow tourists everyday). With the bill at $ 9.50, I thought that this burrito had better blow my mind. To start with, the plastic utensils were pretty useless; I almost broke the fork sticking it into the burrito. I manage to cut through the burrito and see the very thin layer of meat under two times as much lettuce. I take a bite — no flavor. I pour the salsa(decently spicy) all over it to give it SOME kind of taste. I’d say the meat at Taco Bell is far better and who knows what’s in there! I’m hungry so I eat my food, but it just didn’t taste good at all. Bland burrito with too much lettuce. At least my drink was good… Maybe that’s what I get for craving good Mexican at an ultra touristy food court! I’ll definitely be going elsewhere if I happen to be back in the area.

Having tasted the other Lizard, why not? Cause the food was inedible. Burrito was dreadful, and my husband who never met a taco he didn’t like – finally did. And didn’t eat the second one. Eat somewhere else.

This seemed like a cute little place to stop to eat lunch while visiting Navy Pier. The decorations and the little lizards were all adorable, but that was it. The service was okay. My order was incorrect. Instead of complaining, I decided it would be okay to eat the offending tomatoes and peppers. Truly, it might have even helped because the food was awful. No one enjoyed their meal. I would never go back and eat there.
