They have Strongbow here which is the best cider in the world if you didn’t already know

I was so pleased to find this coffee shop while looking for a spot to do work. The staff was kind, my vanilla iced chai was excellent, prices were fair, and the seats were very comfy! I will certainly be back.

What a charming little coffee shop near Michigan Ave. I wouldnt have even thought to come here if it wasnt the recommendation of my sister that this may be a cute place to chill. Indeed it is — the coffee is nice and expertly done and the lounging area quite cozy and well designed. Great for people with laptops or books or friends /business partners to discuss important things with. Clientele is a fair mix of all of the above — will be back to try their specialty drinks

Hands down the flaky chocolate croissant! Yummm. I also tried their lavender greentea latte which is good but not the best I’ve had. Full score for playing Abba songs in the background!

This place is really lovely. They have excellent(dairy-free!!!) specialty lattes which are absolutely fantastic. I had the lavender green tea latte and the almond chai latte both with the almond milk option. They were both fantastic and surprisingly affordable. The barista worked solo behind the counter and was friendly and able to offer recommendations which gave this place a personal feel. It’s located within the virgin hotel and the coffee shop is cozy and comfortable with lots of seating and places to do work. It was a bit crowded when we went, so the barista recommended bringing our lattes up to the second floor lounge of the hotel which had a trendy, upscale feel. We had great service and will definitely be back.

Came for a glass of wine after work with a friend. Cozy ambiance, but very expensive compared to the menu that was on their website! Site said all wines were 8 and I was charged $ 16 for one glass. Also not much seating. Service wasn’t great either. Overall, just fine– nothing to write home about.

Chill vibes. Glad I found this place especially since it was close to my work area. You have the option in getting coffee or booze. Pretty good place to study, and they have macs for guest to use as well.

Free wifi, the marble counter tops have outlets, and music playing out of vinyl record player. What else can you ask for ^_^

It’s a hotel coffeeshop with very sleek, chic décor and tons of seating. I imagine it’s quietly one of the best study spots in all of downtown. The drink options are your standard coffeeshop stuff, nothing here to blow you away, but the double espresso was a solid take on the classic.

Although I only stopped by to get some work done. I spent my afternoon enjoying several different pours. Ditched the headphones since they had vinyls playing in the background. Def my first choice when returning to Chicago for work.

In town from Oklahoma and this coffee shop was close to the hotel. So we stopped in and was greeted by a wonderful hostess, she was olive and attentive as was the gentleman. Coffee came out fast and was delicious! The environment is really chill and fun. I highly recommend this place.(-:

If you’re into local coffee shops in the heart of downtown Chicago, then this is the place to be! I work in the South Loop(Wells and Adams), it took me about 17 minutes to walk to the café due to construction on Wabash. It’s a great atmosphere, great seating selection and space! If you want to have a team meeting, this place would be ideal due to long tables. I ordered a cappuccino and vegetable croissant, all totaling up to $ 8. – . The coffee was absolutely delicious and complimented the croissant. The only downside is that there were a lot of empty dirty cups lying around waiting to be picked up by the coffee shop staff! Otherwise, highly recommend.

I was looking for a good place to study at and came across this coffeehouse/wine bar. I think the atmosphere was definitely great for studying, and there were available sockets at almost every seat for me to charge my electronics. I was definitely very skeptical about getting the Chili Chocolate Mocha, it turned out to be really great!(and not as weird as I expected it to be). Definitely coming back :)

I had walked past Virgin Hotels many many times but had no idea that they had such a cute coffee shop inside! My friend took me here one afternoon when I told her I wanted someplace to study near the loop. The area is decently sized, with comfortable seating and lots of outlets for chargers. The décor here is hipster chic. The walls are adorned with lots of photography and a number of huge clocks! They also play music from a record player, which is really neat. The service here is fantastic. The baristas here are so so nice and make some great recommendations. I wasn’t in the mood for coffee when I came, so they made me a delicious jasmine green tea, over ice. It is a little pricy, as my tea came out to $ 3.50 plus tax, but I think it’s worth it for the ambiance alone. Free wifi(log into virgin hotel wifi). I will be back!

Solid coffee spot in the loop that just opened, they have a lot of nice comfy couches to sit on, they also serve beer, located right by the L, coffee was good, not too pricey, will likely return at some point as I’m in the area quite a bit

This place is my new favorite spot. The space is small and inviting. The staff are amazing. They play the Ramones, Kinks, Iggy etc… Not too loud not too soft. Just works. The coffee is delicious and they serve beer, wine and drinks when the time is right. Killing it.

Cute café! It is very quiet and great environment for business men and students to come here to work or study! The café has very warming decorations and plenty of comfortable seats for people to sit down. The store also has connected Mac computer for customers to serve through websites and more. The drinks they make are extremely good looking and tasty!

Perfect place for my couple of gal pals and I to catch up and take a break from walking all over downtown before heading out to dinner. It was just a great small intimate café with delicious drinks and friendly and helpful barista. I got the ‘Calm + Collected’ specialty drink($ 4.50) and it was exactly what I wanted. The lavender and green tea worked well into a latte. My friends very much also enjoyed the ‘Basic Batch’ and ‘Spiced Nut.’ It seemed somewhat low-key as the place was dark and was not bustling like a standard Starbucks but there were still a number of customers hanging out at this gem.

After a not-so-great first experience at TZT, I was invited to come back to TZT and to meet with their food and beverage director. I wasn’t able to come in on a weekday to meet with him, but TZT seemed genuinely interested in providing my friend and I a positive second experience. We returned to TZT, and were given a gift certificate to use toward our visit. My friend and I opted not to use the certificate just yet, and instead purchased two drinks and coffee cake. There was a world of a difference between our first and second experience at TZT. The baristas were more attentive and our drinks were well-done. My latte was well-crafted, and the presentation was on-point. Perhaps we visited on an off day last time, but I’m glad we came back and tried TZT a second time. With good coffee, we also appreciated the décor and ambiance of TZT. I like the display of Shinola Detroit products, and the efforts made to make this hotel coffee shop appeal to Windy City visitors and residents alike. Thanks for encouraging us to come back, TZT.
