Customer service was good,Diamond was great! NOW LETS TALK ABOUT THE FOOD.I ate this yesterday nd exclaim to the cashier that I enjoyed my food but did not receive a roll.She apologized and said she will make sure I get one today.I also told her that the chicken needed more sauce and again she took care of that with this order but my chickenwings were cold,old and small and my fries were cold.Was not happy with my food considering I only ordered 6 wings a pop and sauce on the side which cost me $17.83

The Chicken and sauce was very good. I had a 2 piece white with a side of okra and a roll.
I can’t wait to go back. It was better than Harold’s or KFC.

Never going to give you a second chance, Uncle Remus… NEVER!!! I ordered a Sunday family deal: 15 pieces of chicken with 2 sides for $ 25. First of all, they screwed up my sides… ordered fries and okra, they gave me 2 orders of fries. Second, I told them to put the hot sauce on the side… however, not a lick of hot sauce to be found. Therefore, we were stuck eating some boring, bland fried chicken. The person who I placed the order with recited the order correctly back to me. There was just some kind of unfortunate mix-​up. We were so disappointed, but we forced ourselves to eat the poor excuse for friend chicken since we were hungry and hate wasting food.
GO TO POPEYES INSTEAD. Lesson learned…

Over cooked chicken cold fries and stale roles… not the uncle Remus I went to on the west side several years ago.

Chicken stays crispy and the sauce is really good.

The customer service here is horrible! The chicken wasn’t that good either! I called ahead for a daily special and when I got there I had to wait an additional 20 mins because the person who I thought took my order didn’t! Then they accused me of calling the wrong place. Vanessa asked me several times what number did I call. I had to show her that I called the right place before she would believe me. I will not be going to this over priced place again!

Tht shit is over price knockoff Harold’s please whteva u do dnt buy tht bulsht. Chicken dnt have no type of seasoning mild sauce weak as fck and they fries taste like sm shit u gt frm the polish stand. Man fck Uncle remus drunk ass!

It the same sauce as out wet but that’s about it!!! The service is horrible and the prices will make you cry!!! The chicken on this visit was over cooked, and the air was out in the restaurant so I felt like I was being over cooked as well! I would suggest making the trip out west for the original, it’s worth it since they are overcharging at this location you will save 20 to 30%.

Chicken is very tasty. Not a fan of the sauce but it makes for a decent dip for the fries. Not that tasty. Service is good however orders can often be mismanaged causing longer waits.

Wasn’t impressed — $ 10 for 6 wings and fries. Customer service was disappointing — first time ever at Uncle Remus — just wasn’t impressed at all. Not sure what the fuss was about.
Won’t be going back to this one in Hyde Park!

Good customer service, but the chicken was not seasoned. I guess the sauce makes the chicken, but I got mine on the side. They give you that option free of charge, unlike Harold’s who charge you for sauce on the side because they want to saturate your chicken with sauce to hide the fact that they are giving you old chicken. I will go back, because the chicken was fresh, but I won’t ask for sauce on the side. I am still looking for an alternative to Popeyes on 47 because they sold me old chicken, three old thighs that was probably cooked last Christmas, and Harold’s on 53^rd sold me old chicken.

Expensive… and you will be waiting while they go get the chicken from the farm… skin the chicken… and fry the chicken. Seriously it took 45 mins for 4 wings and 2 pieces of tilapia. Smh

The ambience is very modern, clean, available bathrooms, great customer service and good food! Fried catfish is delicious and chicken is scrumptious. The only reason it didn’t get five stars is because they don’t take call in orders, bathroom was low on toilet paper and no courtesy cups for water. The prices are already $$$$ for fried food. A courtesy cup won’t break the bank. Also, they just need someone to regularly tidy up. The place is too nice to get it messed up so soon. However, we’ll be back and will recommend it to friends!

It’s good, fresh and hot. It’s just way more expensive than the other ones located out west. A closer and cheaper Harold’s should be your first choice.

Man this chicken is terrible im been waiting for an uncle remus to come to the southside for a little over a decade now so when i heard they opened up by my job i had to see what all the talk was about its better than harolds this and its the west side version of harolds that let me tell you as non biased as i possibly can this chicken tastes like browns chicken and then it also tastes like the chicken wings you get from the chinese restaurant no seasoning except fot the sauce they give you two dinner rolls and the smallest side of fries i have ever seen i will never be going back i was upset when i bit into it there is definitely the crispy texture of chicken because i ordered mine fried hard but there is no flavor other than the sauce and that is good but its sweet there is nothing mild about it and the 6 wing dinner i bought today was 10 dollars harolds nearby in hyde park is 6.75 after tax with more flavor and fries im sorry westside of chicago but you all can hold this L for that chicken of yalls lol harolds is way better

Heard good stuff about this place and that it’s better than Harold’s so I had to try this out.
Comparing to Harold’s,
1) customer service is so much faster (thank god!)
2) chicken wings are so much crispier than Harold’s (yum!!!)
3) sauce is so much sweeter than Harold’s so I prefer Harold’s sauce better since it has more spice too
4) they serve dinner rolls rather than white bread from Harold’s (dinner rolls are good but bad for our health lol!)
5) this is pricier than Harold’s ($ 1.30 for each wing vs $ 0.90 each wing in Harold’s) but they have good daily deal everyday.
If I have to go to this one or Harold’s, I can’t choose! Hahaha but it’s too pricey here. I would just stick with Wednesday wings deal. They have daily deal so check their menu daily.
