Hurry and Book an appointment with Jamie before she graduates! I had a facial with her and it was definitely spa grade quality for less than half the price! You can tell she had a good education on top of being talented! Thanks again:)

Had a great experience with student Melissa who gave me a facial… so good that I returned for a complete back wax two weeks later… I’ll be returning for a back facial in the next few weeks… price is right, students are knowledgeable and the instructors actually instruct the students instead of leaving them on their own. Found my new place! Thanks Melissa!

I had a great experience with one of the students named Melissa. I thought she was an instructor with her professionalism and technique. I would highly recommend this school for great services and prices too!

I scheduled an appointment with a student named Melissa. Within minutes of giving the receptionist my my name she greeted me and took me into one of the rooms. This is my 5th facial I have ever had, and my first time going to a school to get one done. Melissa was kind, friendly, and my face felt great when she was done. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Cute, and very clean. I have already booked my second appointment.

I had a facial and two other treatments on my face and couldn’t be more happy with my aesthetician-in-training, Renee. She was very knowledgeable and professional and answered all my questions about the products she was using and what the different machines were doing to and for my skin. After the facial, she did an ultrasound facial to help tighten & stimulate facial muscles. There’s no pain or much sensation. She put gel on my face and pressed a smooth device on my skin for a few minutes. The second was a light treatment. I put on little eye goggles(similar to ones used for tanning) and she positioned a machine with lamps over my face. It switched between colors every five minutes and is supposed to help prevent acne or fight aging. I don’t know if these extra treatments did anything, as you’re supposed to have 6 – 8 of them to get maximum results, but I haven’t broken out as I sometimes do after a facial. By the way, although this is a school, you’re put in a private room, not just behind some curtains. There was no wait and the space was very relaxing and quiet –just what a spa should be! I can’t wait to have Renee perform more treatments on me! She’s a gem!

Ok, so I know its a school. I have had my hair cut at schools and had facials and massages at schools and I do know the degree of patience that is asked and am generally pretty laid back about this stuff, but this place went well beyond my limits. It looks cute enough upon entering. Rooms are ok, nothing flashy, but fine. They set me up to get my waxing first. There are 2 of them that come in eager to rip my hair out by the root… at first I’m thinking, ok cool, its the student and teacher, only to promptly discover that they are a student teaching student. Um, ok. The first girl(the slightly more experienced one) was ok, but definitely lacking the finesse needed for waxing. THEN the less experienced one starts up. No good. So I endured this for nearly TWO hours(no joke, two hours — my meter ran out while I was in there) under hot halogen lights in a tiny room with no ventilation. The instructor eventually came in towards the end and helped her finish up, but yikes. That took way too long and had too many painful moments. Plus ingrown hairs in the weeks to follow, ugh. I will be heading back to Daniela’s on Sheffield at my first opportunity for my waxing. Then on to the facial. It was ok, but somehow felt rushed and really, just barely ok. No one seemed to know what was up, my student didn’t know what room she was using or what to do next at any given moment and seemed to need tons of guidance and then was a little sassy with her instructor. Aveda Institute on Clark is a million times superior. THEN the final moments come. I’m ready to charge out the door because my meter is expiring again momentarily(that is an additional 90 minutes on top of the first 120) when she tells me the total. $ 80. I pay and run out and realize that the pricing on the website is not the same as the pricing I was charged. I would have stayed and fought it if I hadn’t already been there for more than THREE hours for a wax and a facial and was risking a ticket with every moment I was still there. The pricing on the website( ) is $ 25 for brazilian and $ 35 for facial. How on Earth does that total $ 80? It didn’t hit me until it was too late, but so fricking annoying.

The Touch Clinic at the University of Aesthtics is great. The clinic was recommended to me by a friend who has tried many of the services on the menu. I recently had a chemical peel and I was very pleased. The facility is quiet, with individual treatment rooms giving it a spa like atmosphere. The experienced student that gave me the peel nicely asked if I minded if 2 other students watched. I didn’t mind, but if I had, I’m sure they would have been fine with my preference. During the treatment an instructor came in and talked briefly with the student about my skin type and condition, and the treatment procedure. The same treatment at my dermatologist’s office is double the cost. The prices are great and the students are very nice and knowledgeable.
