I have been here several times! Both times were packed with people(not uncomfortably so). They have several rooms, one with a beautiful bar, a large open room with private seating options(you have to be a dinner guest) and a large music room. On one of the nights I came, it was a live music night. I did not enjoy the band, so be sure to check ahead of time if it is a live band night or they are playing club music.

I hate long user reviews so I will try to keep this short. Took advantage of Restaurant Week in Chicago to try out this venue. The food is amazing! $ 44.00 prix fixe menu was outstanding and worth every penny. Also treated ourselves to the brussel sprouts, I would recommend them to anyone dining here. Service was outstanding. When I saw how large this restaurant was I was concerned about food quality, but they manage to custom make each and every order. Looking forward to returning to Untitled in the very near future.

I have come for the New Years Eve bash 3 years in a row. There is exciting entertainment including silk acrobats, burlesque, live bands, and aerial dancers. They have a different theme every year that keeps it fresh. I love the space which is nicely decorated and has 4 bars, a DJ station, and a stage. I cannot speak to the rest of the year, but NYE here is great.

Went there to see a show… singer Angela Martin and her band. She was amazing. From start to finish. The food there was absolutely amazing… my boyfriend and I had chicken and steak and shared. I mean the meats were seasoned well and juicy. I will definitely return for the food in the hopes it will still be food. I just think the drinks could have been a little better. If I’m paying money for cocktails, I expect them to taste well.

This live music venue is off the chain. I was looking for a place to celebrate my birthday and I think I found it!!! I can’t believe this gem is right around the corner from me and I didn’t know it. Last night I saw a very soulful band with a little burlesque entertainment in between. The food was flavorful with nice portions. I only indulged in the small plates, but I will be back to experience the large plates. I am eyeing the scallops! I had the Brussel sprouts and meatballs… WOW! The signature cocktails are good. The pours are standard :-(. I peeked in the whiskey room and the champagne room. I had a seat at the bar, so I could checkout the area behind the stage. Looks really cool! I am calling on Monday and figuring this birthday thing out!!!

My husband and I had a pretty mediocre meal at Untitled. Our hopes were high, as it is a bib gourmand restaurant. We started with oysters, which were great. They’re oysters! They did take kind of a long time to come out, but we were celebrating and chatting so it was all good. We also had chicken fried frogs legs, which were fine, but nothing too special. Similarly, brussels sprouts were ok, not great. We split a burger for our main, which was similarly mediocre. Kind of chewy and the bread was soggy, which was kind of unpleasant. One other thing my husband, who is notoriously surroundings-oriented: the restaurant seemed really dirty and kind of beat up. There was dirt on the wall near where we were sitting and some of the paint was coming off the walls. The restaurant is really dark, and a big part of that is probably to cover up the moderate grossness that comes with operating as a clurb after dark. Anyway, we won’t be back.

You know, there was once a time where I considered Untitled one of the best bars in Chi but now… not so much! During my first visit about two years ago, I remember there being a great burlesque show, great-tasting drinks flowing, and great, helpful staff. I recently back to take my mom, sister, and cousin, all of which were visiting from out of town. I was so happy to show them Untitled because of my previous visit. When I walked in, I still got the same vibe — the décor is still very Frank Sinatra’ish, which I love. But what happened after walking in was down right unpleasant. Problem 1: We were forced to wait in the side room before being able to be seated in the main room for the show. Problem 2: The server was a raging b*tch with a horrible attitude! I ordered an Old Fashioned and had to send it back because of how awful it tasted and how watered down it was. She was very upset I decided to send it back. Sorry, Untitled, get a better bartender next time. Problem 3: The drinks themselves. They all tasted horrible and were served in the glasses at a 70% ice, 30% drink ratio. Not cool, especially at the ridiculous prices you charge for a mixed drink. Problem 4: Once the show started, we quickly were left with our jaws dropped(and not in a good way). This show was NOT a burlesque show! Instead, it was a dominatrix show! There were people in whips, chains, handcuffs, etc. There were very eccentric drag queens, hoola hoops, and a bunch of other odd props. The whole thing made me feel very uncomfortable for bringing my mom here! Overall, this place went from four stars, down to one. Your recent changes, quite frankly, suck donkey b***s. Bring back the old charm, Untitled, before you lose more customers!

So. we came here on a Thursday night and the place was pretty busy. They had a private event that night as well as being open to the public. We checked out the bar and walked around before finding a seat. The server is supposed to come and take your drink order, but the lady went to every table but ours. She didn’t just forget about us but actually skipped over our table. She checked on everyone but us so we just decided to leave. The atmosphere was cool because it’s an underground speakeasy, but sadly I can’t comment on the drinks… service can definitely be improved.

I have been meaning to write this review for months, and am finally just getting around to it. Back in June, a group of 16 of us went to Untitled for a girlfriend’s birthday. We knew we had a larger group and wanted to ensure seats and service, so we decided to book a table for the night. I had been in contact with Untitled back and forth up until the night of, and was reassured time and time again that the table we were at would have enough seating for 16. SUREENOUGH, we arrive, and they stick us behind the DJ booth at a 4 – 6 person table and the hostess walks away. That was only the beginning of an extremely poor example of customer service, and ended with us nearly walking out. Long story short, they over-booked the VIP seating areas, and tried to resolve the issue by bringing over dining room chairs to accomodate the remaining 10 girls. By this point, we were all just fed up and decided to make the most of the night. I was extremely disappointed with the customer service at Untitled and will NOT ever be returning.

Just here for a cocktail and food. The doorman seems ambivalent, is this Untitled?, yea sure, should head downstairs, yea sure. That’s the tip off to a thoroughly moderate evening. The teenage looking girls couldn’t find our reservation and all but one of the three, why three, didn’t give a rats ass. Our waiter was awesome, wish the food matched. Ordered three small plates, one was decent, Brussel Sprouts. Main course was ok yet the little things count, fries were mixed with old and new, some hot, some cold. My suggestion, come late for the music and great scene. Forego the food.

Love this spot. Came here with girlfriends on a Friday night, and the foo, drinks and service was Excellent(chef prepared salmon special for my liking to add to salad and didn’t charge me an outrageous price to do so). You enter from Kinzie and go down the stairs and see three rooms, one to left(whiskey lounge with some tables, lounge type couch seating and a bar… no reservations are needed for this room) a room to left(dining area with tables. …requires reservation to snag a table), and the middle main room, which houses the stage(a live band usually plays from 6⁄7 to 10⁄11 pm ish nightly, then this stage turns from jazzy soul into DJ break down dance party) a small bar and more dining tables, which also require a reservation. My friends a day I sat in the whiskey lounge, which meant we could not see nor hear the band; however, we were able to converse which was nice. Next time I think we may try to get a table in the main dining room with stage to be a little more«in the action». Well, check this place out… fun night in the city! PS, not sneakers or converse for men.

A bunch of friends and I came here as a late-night stop after a happy hour and dinner and we had a blast! Décor: So, it was really dark and I was pretty lit up… I don’t really know what the interior is like. I do know that it is nice, there is TONS of room and a large bar and I saw an old-school card catalog from a library? Anyway, whatever it is I liked it. There was a very entertaining burlesque show that then opened the stage to dancing and the music was solid. Bathroom: Very clean and inviting, not your typical club bathroom Staff: The bartender in the main room, and in the Whiskey Room, were spectacular. Drinks: They have a full bar with a decent selection of beers and can make pretty much any cocktail you’d prefer. The Whiskey Room is absolutely OUTSTANDING. They have a HUGE selection of whiskeys and bourbons, an entire wall of them, and the atmosphere is totally chill and relaxed. Best of all, they had Pappy Van Winkle 23 year! I’ve been looking for it everywhere and finally was able to have a pour! Value: The drink prices are not bad, plus you get a free show! Your money takes you as far as you’d like it to here. This is, hands-down, my new favorite spot. The entire place is great and the Whiskey Room is phenomenal. I cannot wait to come back!

Untitled in Chicago is unlike any bar I’ve ever been to before. Living in DC, you don’t see much like this place. We had a table booked at 9 p.m. and we were shown to our table upon arrival. The setting and theme of the bar seemed to be speakeasy-ish and super classy. The setup was extremely chill and sort of jazzy as they had a 4 person band playing jazzy tunes on the stage while we waited at our table. Untitled had a pretty extensive list of house-made cocktails which I appreciate. I had a couple of the original cocktails and each was great, both a little sweeter than I expected. We then ordered a few items off the menu for the 3 of us to share. We started off with the duck wings. These were fantastic. They were glazed with bourbon soy and sesame and came with shishito peppers. The crunch on these things was amazing and was definitely a good course to start the night with. We also got the Gulf shrimp which had excellent grits underneath, brussel sprouts that I didn’t really care for, and the hanger steak which came with fried onions on top and a red pepper bernaise. The hanger steak and the duck wings were the best things we tried by far. Around 9:45 our waitress informed us that at 10:30 pm the end of summer burlesque show would be starting so we ended up just waiting for that. That turned out to be a great decision. We got a few more drinks and enjoyed the first act and a little of the second of the show. It was at the very least, extremely entertaining to watch. There was a contortionist, dancing roller skaters, and the typical booby-tassel girls that we got to see. All in all we had a fantastic time at Untitled. It’s not the cheapest place but if you don’t mind spending a little extra and you’re looking for a classy or chill kind of night then Untitled is your place.

Okay so I was in the area on a Saturday night after a fabulous dinner at Gilt Bar so we had some time to kill before taking our evening train home to the burbs so we decided to check out Unitled. Having never been before but heard mixed reviews, I really didn’t know what to expect. Upon arrival, the bouncers did check our ids which means we can’t look too old just yet. Anyways, when we got downstairs, the venue was huge and I absolutely got overwhelmed quickly so I walked up to the hostesses to get some help. She was very friendly and decided to give us a tour of the venue. There’s like 3 or 4 bars it is that huge and in the main dining room is where they have live music and that’s the one with the dining option. They were completely booked for the night but we weren’t hungry so it wasn’t a big deal, however I did wish we could get drinks in the main area where we could actually see the music perform. When we were there the jazz musicians happened to be on break so we couldn’t really see when they came out since we chose the bar on the left when coming down the stairs. The bar/lounge had a nice vibe, intimate and chill, and can be romantic if you sit somewhere in the corner. It wasn’t too loud so we could even hear each other’s conversations. That’s the kind of atmosphere I did enjoy. Our server was super sweet and gave us some good recommendations on drinks which came out quickly and were all very tasty. Also, the prices we felt were very reasonable so I will definitely return but next time I want to sit in the main dining area in the middle of all the action. Very chill place to go with friends or for a date night. I can’t vouch for the food, but everything else was on point.

After stuffing myself with deep dish pizza and red wine over at Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria I decided to head over to Untitled based on a recommendation from a local Chicago girl at the pizza joint. Although certainly not a speakeasy(maybe it once was) it certainly had the feel of a prohibition era establishment. It was almost like a time machine into that era complete with a live brass jazz band, burlesque shows, swing dancers, and a whiskey selection to die for! Upon walking in around 9pm they were crowded but not over packed. I had an absolutely awesome time and somehow managed to land a front-center table right in front of the stage. The music and energy was great and I was somewhat disappointed I needed to leave around 12:30 to wake up in the morning for an oncology trade show the next day. One tip I have based on my experience here would be to arrive early, around 7 – 8PM would probably be ideal. Around 11PM the place seemed to transition into more of a typical lounge/club(a projector screen came down and replaced the stage area) and the vibe I mentioned earlier started to fade away. In all fairness after transitioning they still maintained an upscale lounge type atmosphere that I would’ve been almost as happy in as the prohibition era/live music mode. I asked one of the bouncers and it seems that Friday and Saturday nights are the hot nights here and Sunday is more of a private event type of night. Five stars for a great night out in Chicago. Definitely check it out if you are in town!

I love this place! It’s a fun speakeasy vibe located in a popular neighborhood. It’s a unique place to take out of towners or if you want to impress a tinder date. I’ve been to untitled many times, most recently I went with a group of 15 for dinner and it was perfect. The service was quick and the food was delicious(hard to do for a group so big). After we had been given our drinks, one of the walls next to us started moving(scared us for a moment), and then it opened up into a larger room and there was a string quartet playing. It was the perfect atmosphere for a group dinner. I tried the Red Rag Top and it was great, I didn’t like the Savage Garden though. For food we did the cheese and charcuterie board(awesome), salmon tartar(would not get again), House Pretzels, and then finally the Hanger Steak which was cooked perfectly and I loved the potatoes. I will be going back soon!

This place is easy to miss, but hard to beat. Go through the unmarked door, down the steps, and engulf yourself in the chic, lounge-y atmosphere that is Untitled. I went here on Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend, and have to give credit to our server for making this a 5-star review(shoutout to Caleb — you were a rockstar). Being a younger couple, we sometimes get poorer service, but Caleb went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful dining experience and even took a couple of minutes to give us a tour of the Whiskey library. Went spent over 2 hours at Untitled, enjoying the menu options and each other’s company. We shared the cheese plate, Little Gem Salad, Oysters Rockefeller, and the Scallops. Everything was tasty, and I would have given the food a 4-star. We also each had a cocktail and decided to try some Whiskey. Caleb helped us make our selections(to say they have extensive options is almost an understatement). We truly enjoyed every minute of our time at Untitled. Thank you again, Caleb!

It pains me to say it because I always like to give the benefit of the doubt, but Untitled really rubbed me the wrong way. We had a 7:15 reservation on a Friday for dinner for a group of six. First of all, it’s easy to miss. It’s really untitled. You won’t find the words«untitled» anywhere. Just a door. We had done some research ahead of time and had determined that Untitled would be a great place to celebrate. We told the waiter that we were there to celebrate my friend’s birthday and he did not acknowledge this at all. He didn’t even smile! Even a quick, «Happy birthday» would have been more than enough; we weren’t expecting a free dessert or anything special. This soured my mood a bit because places I’ve gone in the past have ALWAYS acknowledged a birthday. It was my friend’s special day and I wanted her to feel special. Ah, well. Moving on. We decided that we wanted to order individual meals per person, which our waiter had trouble understanding. He kept trying to convince us to just order a bunch of plates to share because«that’s how we do things.» We were not informed of this at the time of making the reservation. We had all different diets(vegetarian, pescetarian, meat-eaters), so we decided to stick to our guns and have individual plates. He finally agreed, but not before warning us that dishes may arrive 15 minutes apart from each other. Of course, this made for kind of a weird dinner vibe, but we all quickly agreed anyway. I ordered just the heirloom carrots as it was the closest thing to a salad on the menu. I did really enjoy this dish – the carrots were caramelized and mushy, the toppings sweet with nuts. The kitchen did a good job on it. However, $ 15 for carrots?! Give me a break. We went to the lounge for an hour for drinks after and the service was much better. I also really enjoyed that the movie The Jazz Singer was playing on a big screen behind us. It really added to the whole theme/vibe of the place. There was so much alcohol that the bartender needed a ladder on wheels to reach all of it. I still tipped 20%, but after really thinking about it, I should have gone lower as I don’t think service was up to par with a «$$$» establishment. All that being said, I still would return to Untitled for drinks in the really cool whiskey lounge or a burlesque show. I really enjoy the speakeasy vibe here and overall atmosphere. I think dinner is just not the specialty here. Or maybe dinner just wasn’t the speciality here with that particular waiter!
