Urban alternatives is a horrible company they pretend to be nice then they get your money and its a entirely different ball game. I recently started having problems with them I am assuming because I’m not from the city so when something goes wrong I call and want it fixed which how its supposed to be I just had to call a renters right lawyer on them to have them fix a problem then they called me and told me they cant wait for the day I move out. I was told false information about the building before I moved there. the guy that showed me the apt said with in a year a washer and dryer would be installed in the basement 2 years later nothing I called them when I first moved in to see when they were going to do it they told me they wasn’t. my apartment has been broken into several times and they hire maintenance people who don’t speak English to fix things that goes wrong in the apartment They all have a key to your apartment and Im pretty sure they don’t do background checks on these people because im sure they aren’t even legal citizens. that makes me feel uneasy also. any way you see someone wrote two comments that Unilocal don’t recommend because im pretty sure it was from someone that works there. But Im exposing the truth I will be happy to personally answer any questions about my experience with them. and if your currently having issues with them call a lawyer I have a good one I’m using now

I have lived in an Urban Alternative apartment for almost a year now and I cannot wait for my lease to come to an end. If you like roaches, people who loiter in front of the buiding, and the smell of marijuana in the hallways, then this is the place for you. It is not the place for me. The staff located on Mason are friendly enough, but that doesn’t matter when I have company over and a roach crawls up the wall. Regardless of the cheap rent and the cheap internet/phone/cable bundle, it’s not worth it. Stay away!
